A NICE MEAL AS USUAL BUT THE SERVICE WAS A BIT SLOWER THAN NORMAL. THE STAFF WERE HELPFUL AND BROUGHT US SOME HOUSE WINE TO TASTE AS WE WERE NOT SURE WHAT WINE TO CHOOSE.

food lovely as ever...but how long since menu changed? staff much friendlier than last visit ( dec 2016). will return. good value and pleasant ambience.

Love dining at Cote - no matter the town/city, the service and food is great every time. We enjoyed the varied menu and sensible pricing too.

Excellent food and wine as always but our waiter made us feel he could really be bothered. But also and very unfortunately, the loos failed for some reason causing embarrassment for one of my guests.

The food was very good and very reasonably priced in the early bird offer. Staff very helpful and efficient. Complimentary Kir Royals went down very well. Thank you.

Excellent servicer and food - we had a great Sunday lunch. Crab mayonnaise starter was superb as was my fillet steak. The complimentary bottle of wine was excellent

Relaxed Sunday evening visit. Excellent and varied menu, food and wine good, staff friendly and efficient. The Duck breast served with cherries was very tender and tasty.

I was looking for a restaurant for friends and family to get together in York, and i have to say Cote Brasserie was an ideal find, the staff were very friendly and helpful despite a number of our party being delayed in traffic, the food and choice of Menu was excellent, and the service faultless, a very happy 3 hours spent chatting eating and drinking, Thank you so much for an enjoyable experience

We had a great lunch, food excellent and the service was good. Cote have a very good Gluten free menu and the food arrives at the table clearly labelled.

Food good, service lovely, 12.5% service charge included in the bill extremely disappointing and outdated. No mention was made of this and no highlighting on the bill itself. Shame.

Friendly but not intrusive staff Great food and atmosphere Bit noisy because of hard surfaces so us slightly older visitors had trouble hearing each other but otherwise a great experience

The food, main courses and puddings, were excellent. Lively atmosphere on Saturday night and our waitress was very friendly. We went with our two children of 17 and 12 who love it there.

The ambience is lovely, the staff pleasant, but the service of the meal was too rushed - meaning that the main course was served too quickly after the starter -

We had a great night out at Cote Brasserie York on Tuesday, 3rd October. The service was friendly but professional, and the food was excellent, as usual. We will return soon.

Excellent food and service cannot fault this restaurant always delivers. Four people eating everyone enjoyed each course. What more can I say! Try for yourself you won't be disappointed.

Excellent as always. Gluten free menu is extensive for mains and starter but a little lacking in the dessert section. That would be the only possible niggle.

A good meal and friendly staff. The automatic adding of 12.5% to the bill which is rude and inappropriate continues to be the only irritation about Cote.

A fabulous meal however the cheeseboard was a shocker. The worst I have ever had. Very tiny and not much Cheselbourne. Grapes came in a small bowl not on the vines and they did not serve crackers but gave me bread. Very strange and at £6.95 too. Shocking The rest of the meal was very nice....

Excellent service. Food arrived quickly and was tasty. I wasn't impressed by the lemon sole which was overpriced, overcooked and a little too greasy but otherwise the food was good.

Perfectly satisfactory. Côte is a chain, and the service, quality of food and ambience of the surroundings was what one would expect. This was York: it could have been Exeter, Hoxton, Bristol, Manchester... any of the Côte restaurants we've been to before.

Charming service, steak cooked to perfection and splendid charcuterie platter, only let down by mussels being a bit substandard but they were readily exchanged. Highly recommended.

The Cote Brasserie had a nice friendly atmosphere and the food was excellent, the menu was good with plenty of choice. All served nice and hot. The staff were attentive.

We do like coming to this branch of Cote, service is second to none and the staff can't do enough for you. We will be back one day.

The food was excellent and the service was efficient but not rushed. The portion sizes were not too large allowing full enjoyment of three courses. Although this was a relatively expensive restaurant you do get what you pay for and I would thoroughly recommend it for celebrating a special occasion or just appreciating a good meal out.

A delightful lunch for 6 at a spacious table. The service was excellent and attentive. The meals were well received being tasty, with suitable lunch-size portions. A good time was had by all.

We had a fantastic evening at Cote Brassiere the restaurant has a great atmosphere. The service is always brilliant and our 125% Italian waiter made us laugh with his great sense of humour. Food as always a very high standard and our guests were very impressed and I'm sure willl be back again...

Food & service were good, but, unfortunately there was a huge group of 35+ people who were VERY LOUD and we couldn't even talk to each other until they all left after 45 minutes.
