Lovely meal the cassoulet was delicious. Cold evening so perfect and nice ambience and friendly staff would definitely go again when next in York. Location very good.

Cote always gives great food never disappointed.... friendly service...really good helpings of mussels on past visits!. Good airy space and tasteful decor. My friend thought there would be chips with her fishcakes but i pointed out that they were not mentioned on the menu. Would really recommend Cote

Very nice food and cheery atmosphere. But why does Cote put on an 'Optional Service Charge ' of 12.5 on the Bill as a matter of course? If it's Optional it should NOT be already on the Bill. We asked (and so did the couple at next table) them to take it off and added what we thought was a reasonable tip. Also the staff have a tendency to abandon you after they have served the main course........

The food was great. Good value for money. Lovely atmosphere and the staff are friendly very helpful and always have a smile. Definitely go back again!

My girlfriend and I came here on a whim after hearing this was good. Although it was quite busy we never felt rushed or ignored and could not fault the experience whatsoever. Fantastic food, brilliant service and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

From a personal standpoint I felt my fish was overcooked. That said, we were all perfectly happy with the ambience, restaurant staff, food, presentation and service.

Our visit started with a very warm welcome followed by very attentive service. The menu choice was very good and the food was excellent. We enjoyed our visit to Cote.

The food was very good but my friends and I did not agree with the automatic addition of a tip to the overall bill as we prefer to use our own discretion.

This was my first visit to Cote Brassierie in York, I have been to other branches and been very satisfied. There were 4 in our party, I was the only one who had the set menu, the main course of chicken was served on a cold plate, the potatoes were only just warm and the beans were also like warm, the chicken however was well cooked and hot, which led me to believe that the plate had been hanging around in the kitchen until the chicken was served. I mentioned my concerns on leaving, the other 3 meals were well received by the party. Staff friendly and efficient, but I remain disappointed.

A perfect evening. Excellent food and quick efficient service. Good value using the early bird menu. Ideally sited for anyone visiting York Theatre Royal. Will certainly be visiting again.

First time in Cote, York and as always, the staff in Cote were attentive, polite and friendly. Service was quick and food delicious. Would highly recommend any Cote location.

Been a regular with cotes for a couple of years and the quality is just as good as the first time, having visited a couple of London venues first then Harrogate twice and now York sure thing is we'll be back again soon

We have had yet another wonderful meal in the Cote, this time in York. The good thing is that wherever you go the quality, price and service are always consistent. We will always seek out a Cote as we know what we are getting, try somewhere different and you could be disappointed, not worth the risk.

We are regulars at Cote and this visit did not disappoint. The service was excellent and good humored. The food was delicious and well prepared. One comment the mackerel salad, although very tasty, it perhaps could have been a little more innovative. We have the set menu (2 persons) and for three courses , bread, a glass of wine and a beer the total bill was just over £46.00 offering excellent value.

Warm welcome, friendly and efficient staff. Starters and mains excellent (as always). The only let down was dessert. Our favourite Grand Marnier pancakes arrived cold!!

An excellent meal with great customer service at all times. Everyone was very attentive to our party of four. The choices on all the menus more than met our expectations and so it did prove difficult to make our final choices. Nevertheless we did choose wisely. Great evening

We were given the old week-end menu but charged the new menus prices. Eg steak, fries & salad 10.50 but on the new menu 11.05. This should have been changed.

Excellent food and quick service. Only complaint was that we were seated near a VERY LOUD group of girls making it hard to have a conversation.

We travelled to York for a short break to celebrate my wifes birthday and booked in to Cote for dinner.The food and service was excellent and we would heartily recommended Cote for anyone seeking quality fare at a pretty reasonable cost

The good and service was excellent we had the meal deal 3 courses for £13.50 and could not fault the quality of the food. I would definitely eat here again.

Good value as ever. Booked through the rewards scheme, had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch. only one minor hiccup - when presented with the bill they had not removed the bottle of wine but this was soon rectified. Also enjoy a meal here never disappointed.

This restaurant offers great food, service and location. It is very good value for money and definitely worth a visit if you are in York.

A lovely late Sunday lunch in York. We had three courses and everything was great.,There were four of us & we chose from the specials and standard menu so there was a wide choice. The only complaint was that the sea bass fillets could have been warmer but we didn't complain at the time because we didn't want to hold up the meal. The staff were all very helpful and professional so I'm sure they would have dealt with it had we told them. We would certainly go back agai

Cote York is consistently good. The food is well prepared and represents good value for money. On the whole then service is very good. Wines can be a little pricey although even the less expensive ones are good quality.

Fabulous experience for a birthday celebration. Fantastic food - everywhere we looked people were virtually licking their plates. Great service - attentive staff who seemed to want to make our visit memorable. With a couple of freebies thrown in for the birthday boy, it just made this feel like a very special evening. And all at a super reasonable price. Thank you very much. Best evening out in a long time.

Busy and vibrant on a Tuesday night. Went for the early dinner deal. Excellent value and lovely food. Fish cooked to perfection and good size portions. This is a regular haunt for our group of four female friends and we have never been disappointed.
