Service excellent and the food delicious and without any lengthy delays

Cote was good as usual. I'm guessing they were busier than they expected to be (Tuesday 3 Dec around 7:30). The service was slower than normal and the tomato ketchup I asked for never arrived. Still a great place

We have always enjoyed our meals at Cote and whilst everything was good the little things that make a meal extra special seemed to be missing this time.

The service was great but my soup tasted reheated and my wife's calamari were cold. The waitress kindly gave us a free pudding between us but still charged the service charge which was more than the cost of the freebie. It was a nice experience but a bit spoilt

Atmosphere, service and food were spot on. The toilets, however, were freezing! Not pleasant at all.

We entered the restaurant and only just got our feet through the door when a young blonde lady stood at the bar said ‘someone will be with you in a minute’ not even a hello or good evening. Served by a young male waiter who didn’t smile once. The only time we got a smile was from the lady at the end when we paid our bill. We did not feel welcomed or looked after at all. Very poor service and a non enjoyable atmosphere. I did not get good vibes from this restaurant and it totally ruined our evening food also very overpriced. Get your staff up to scratch before sticking a 12.5% service charge on the bill.

Really nice meal, good value menu, friendly service, great location

My local Cote is far better in terms of service but we enjoyed our meal. Probably just down to WGC having a better manager who is more customer focused and better at organising the team.

Excellent experience. The staff worked very hard to look after us in a busy fully booked restaurant. I go to this Côte a fair bit and is my favourite place to eat.

Food was good and value also good. Waiter must have been having an off night as he wasn't particularly friendly. Don't recall him smiling at all. Felt the 12.5% tip added to the bill was presumptuous of excellent service - which I felt didn't deserve 12.5%

Lovely as usual and staff so good . Did ask for a table up at the top near the window but we were a little too near the door on the coldest night of the year .

Great food in a really good location. The staff were excellent : very friendly, helpful and efficient. Could not be faulted.

We had a great time for my son's 25th birthday. I dropped one star because I love going for the sea bass which this time was overcooked and disappointing. My son loved his rib eye steak though.

Couldn’t fault a thing. Food was delicious and plenty, and the waiter who looked after us Giuseppe, was brilliant! Attention to detail and looked after us throughout. Will be returning!

The best food is French food and this meal was a celebration of fantastic ingredients cooked in a classic style

Great food and good value on the Prestige Menu. Restaurant was very busy, which is always a good sign and waitress did well to be attentive to all tables. Will definitely return.

Enjoyed the meal. Wasn’t a fan of the winter vegetables though. The cinnamon was a bit overpowering.

I met a friend in York....she is from Leeds, I am from Newcastle. We have been both to Newcastle and York branches of Cote. They are very different in atmosphere, but the food is beautiful at both. No doubt we will be back on a future visit.

Service pretty good as restaurant very busy. Waitress identified main course (duck) as overdone but overused by management (she was correct, it was over cooked!). Overall an enjoyable visit 😄

Staff were very attentive and helpful. Really enjoyed our evening and have brought home the Christmas menu to book another evening out before Christmas.
