The fifth Cote restaurant I’ve been too, and just as good as the other four! Good value set meal for week day evenings, with excellent service..... will definitely return!

Good quality food at reasonable prices with good service. I would recommend this restaurant which has a nice ambience. The free bottle of wine was a good promotion. .

Breakfast was very good but felt rushed. Everything was brought to the table at once. First orange juice, then food whilst at the same time coffee or hot chocolate which was getting cold while eating the food. Please slow down!

Great food, as always, but I felt the service was slightly lacking this evening - waitress not up to speed on wine list and coffees forgotten.

Excellent food and friendly and efficient staff. We had a complimentary bottle of Merlot which although not our usual tipple was very acceptable. Would recommend.

Excellent food at really sensible prices, plus the real attention to dietary requirements makes it a great place to eat out at. Highly recommended........ Also great range of dishes on offer. One small improvement would be to expand the by the glass white wine range as very limited.....

Wonderful attentive service for our daughter's 10th birthday. There was a card and balloon waiting for her at the table which she was over the moon about. Food is always delicious and we return back again and again.

Another great brunch with a friend. Quality ingredients used for a full "English" breakfast served as a brunch. Best poached eggs I've had in a long time. Quiet, spacious, unrushed and good value for money.

Food excellent but restaurant very noisy and staff clearly under pressure. Coped well generally but service inevitably suffered somewhat. Seemed to us that staffing levels needed review.

Absolutely delicious! We had breakfast for my birthday, with coffee, complementary Mimosas and a super Vegetarian Breakfast. Freshly cooked and delicious; and the waiting staff were very attentive. We will definitely return.

Welcomed quickly , friendly staff. It was a quiet evening in the restaurant and the waiting staff did not hover (good) but were on hand promptly if needed. Some new interesting menu choices. My go to started is always the Anchovy pissaladiere which is rather good.

The food was as good as ever, that is very. The service was a bit of the pace but it was an odd time (5pm,possibly a shift change) however made up to us by a free glass of wine. Overall experience a pleasure. We are regulars at Cote and will continue to be. Not The Waterside, but then what is, and oby far the best of the chains.

The whole experience was good. Afraid my wife chose the thin steak and fries and she could not chew the steak; it was replaced with a more cooked one, well done, would not be her choice in future. My pork belly was just fine and had more meat in it than it looked the potatoes were tasty. Best of all the Red Wine complimentary Merlot, this was a quality wine excellent! My french apple tart could have been better, very flat and tough to cut up with a spoon, not a home cooked offering, not a lot of real apple! Previous experience finds the seafood dishes best!

Overall another nice night at Cotes. Great food. Disappointed we were unable to be seated in a booth as "they may be required for a party of four later" but were then shown to a table set out for four which was then cleared for the two of us?

The service was good and the food average BUT the surroundings are very tired and badly in need of updating. For a mid-week, early bird meal (before 19h) its ok if you are close by but definitely not worth a long drive nor for weekend dining.

Had sea brim without the rattatui, but with chips, in a small bucket, they were warm and firm, but the one small fish fillet looked so lonely on the big plate, they could have put some colourful garnish to make it more pleasing to the eye, service was good.

Service was great but the fries portions are the samllest ive ever seen and my wifes muscles were poor quality that is seriously overcooked. Dont like the fact that they automatically load 12.5% on your bill for service - so on balance unlikely to go again as no shortage of other options in town.

Service was a bit erratic particularly at the beginning of the meal. The table was too small for our party of 7 so we were a bit cramped for space making it a little uncomfortable at times. It was a busy night in the restaurant and it appeared that they were understaffed. The food was of a reasonable quality.

Food was excellent but we found the bill a bit odd. We didn't query it this time but will do so next time. Four of us ordered the formule breakfast at £10.50. ( a price rise that was a bit of a surprise) two of the four did not want the juice which was included but instead of being charged £10.50 for the formule breakfast minus the juice, they were charged £8.95 for an English breakfast and £2.20 for their tea. So, in fact by not having a juice, they had to pay more. A lesson to be learnt, have the juice whether you want it or not. We shall all do so next time.

We always love Cote but we're very disappointed this time as I was served a sweet fake syrup drink instead of Cointreau! Very embarrassing for all. Cointreau, when mixed with ice goes cloudy and the fake syrup does did not. We feel conned and wonder what else was fake?

Service was good. Food OK but yet again dessert poor. Unable to prepare the simplest of dishes without them being tough (crepes). This is not the first time!
