Received a very warm welcome and felt very Covid safe. All the staff were very pleasant and obliging

The starters arrived very quickly, but I had to wait for half of mine. We all ordered steak, all were underdone, mine by a long way it wasn’t even blue let alone medium. Two of the steaks were cooked for longer, it would have been better to give us new steaks. The staff were very good and we appreciate that the kitchen was rusty after the enforced break, so we didn’t make a fuss, we did appreciate that we weren’t charged for our bottle of wine.

The service was perfect - all staff was wearing a mask but still kept a distance from us which was very courteous. And they let us choose where we want to sit! The food was faultless. Everything was beautifully cooked and you could taste that it was all freshly cooked. I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to try you guys!

I love Cote in Wokingham, always such a nice atmosphere and warm welcome when you walk in. Staff so friendly as well and nice to be wished Merry Christmas as you walked in. We didnt have a few meal but shared some starters and sides but all were really tasty, especially the crab starter. We were also given a voucher to use in January which we'll definitely be doing!

Despite a year of lockdowns and tiers I was able to enjoy a lovely birthday meal with my husband and one of my 4 sons and his girlfriend. Thank for a lovely meal

Excellent meal - there was loads of choice, with 3 menus to choose from. The service was good, and our waitress was attentive without being over the top!

It wasnt as good as normal. We had the Xmas menu. The soup wasn’t hot., but was warm enough to eat. The chestnut stuffing was cold in the middle but the pot it was served in was very hot. It just hadn’t warmed through. We also both had the almond pudding. It did not taste of anything. We would not have know what it was eating it. It’s always fab, so we were a little disappointed this time.

Food, drink, service and ambience. All were super. Nothing else to add.

So lovely to be out. Restaurant was buzzing. Staff were very friendly and made sure we were well looked after. They all made a point of saying thank you and goodbye as we left too. It’s the little things like that that count!

Great tasty food very lovely waitress who was very kind to my brother who has learning difficulties and she said that she remember our last visit because we sat in the front. Made us feel very welcome.

First visit post lockdown and just as good as before. The steak was excellent, and the staff friendly and attentive. Very good value for money with the Prestige Menu.

Unfortunately one incorrect main course was served. By the time the replacement came my fellow diner had finished her main course. Though we were very fairly not charged for one meal, it would have been better if both main courses had been removed and replacements served at the same time. Apart from that, good service, a nice atmosphere and a good evening.

We are big fans of Cotes and visit regularly. Visited again yesterday and food was again good along with attentive service. However, we now regularly ask for gaps between courses as they often come out as soon as one course is finished. Did this last night and as a consequence our main courses were not hot so a little disappointing. Hence therefore a lower rating for this visit. Otherwise we will be back soon

Very enjoyable set menu (Breton chicken especially good) and efficient, friendly service, as always.

The staff were friendly and professional. Eating at Cote felt like a little bit of ‘normal’ in a safe environment.

As expected we were treated well. Provided with good quality food. Onion soup was a little too strong with beef flavour.

Thank you for changing our booking so we could celebrate my Dad's 80th before lockdown!

Unfortunately had to send back the original order but the staff were very helpful and understanding and made amends with a wonderful replacement

This could have been a really lovely evening if we had not felt pressured by several members of staff the entire duration. Having been presented with the menu we were harassed 2-3 times for not knowing what we wanted to order and told repeatedly that they needed the table back at 8 30pm. We arrived on time at 6 30pm. This meant we felt incredibly uncomfortable throughout our meal as if we needed to rush. Having finished our mains we had a very long wait before staff took our plates away and provided dessert menus. We decided very quickly what we wanted but we could not get the servers attention and so when we ordered we were almost guilt tripped into not ordering as they supposedly needed the table. You would think they would bring the bill with the desserts but they didnt and we had a long wait before we were able to pay. Aside from the harassment, the food was delicious. Just a real shame we felt so unwelcome and I dont think any other table had the same experience as we did.

Food was way too salty and we were rushed of our table. We were booked in for 7pm and got told at 8.15 that we had to leave for another set of people at 8.30. I feel we should have been told this from the beginning. When I questioned this I was told everyone only had two hours, when I told her we’d only been here since 7, she didn’t have anything to say. Totally ruined the whole experience and felt like a complete nightmare waste of money.

Steak dinner with starters, dessert and cocktails. It was absolutely perfect. Staff were amazing, food was outstanding and we had the best time.

As usual excellent service even though very busy. Breakfast was as good as always. I think you have changed your supplier for bacon , which tasted better than previously, and sausage, which for the last 2 weeks has not been as tasty as previously Our low score for noise level refers to a noisy child ignored by Millennial parents

All the staff were charming and helpful. The order came very rapidly and was, as usual, delicious. Everything was clean and I felt very safe on the environment.

Lovely atmosphere with almost perfect food, chicken was slightly dry but other than that we really enjoyed our meal. Will definitely return.
