Côte Wokingham

I asked for crispy bacon on my breakfast order, quick was over looked or the cooks couldn’t be bothered to read the note - or plainly just ignored it. I probably won’t use this restaurant again - for any type of meal.

Good food - service excellent. Pricey but was a special occasion.

As always, a first class experience. Food was outstanding, great tastes and presented beautifully. Staff both professional and attentive. Lovely atmosphere and all in all very professional.

A very nice restaurant (tho shame no on-site parking) Food was excellent - although the coddled egg that came with the starter was STONE COLD. Rather than wait for a new starter to be prepared and served (and not wanting to hold up the other 2 diners I was with), I ate the cold egg. When this was pointed out, the Manager came over and apologised and a discount was applied to the bill (a nice touch) Apart from that, an excellent dining experience

Very good food with excellent service and with a superb ambiance!

Aperitif order didn't arrive before the starter was served, although two requests for this were made, and so had to cancel it. Otherwise, nice food and pleasant staff.

Côte Brasserie is one of my favorite chains so each time I am travelling or I am in my own town, I am always your guest! Food is amazing, the service in Wokingham has been great also!

Food good service good but the noise level and the constant banging of the coffee making process and the crash of bottles being thrown into the refuge spoils what little ambiance there is. This is the only half decent restaurant in wokingham so we have to put up with it.

Although I always enjoy a visit to Côte, the Wokingham branch looks a little tired.

Nice but not exceptional. Service ok but had to ask for butter and tea. Strongly object to service charge being added to the bill. Whilst it is discretionary not paying it and having to have the conversation with the waiting staff can ruin the end of a meal so you feel obliged to pay and then that leaves a bad feeling also.

A quiet evening but still a good atmosphere. A few mistakes with the food but swiftly handled and corrected. Fixed menu good value although perhaps feeling not to be a summer focused menu

Lovely Formule full English breakfast as usual . I always ask for no sausage but extra bacon and the extra portion is very generous. The orange juice tasted odd this time. We mentioned this but there was no offer to remove it from our bill which was slightly disappointing in the case of those who did not want an apple juice instead. It would have been a nice gesture in their part. We shall be continuing with our monthly breakfast nevertheless.

```````The service, the food and the ambience are excellent but there is nowhere to sit for a cigarette. The only option is to stand at the front door on a main street which is not a happy experience. The patio at the back cannot be used for smoking because of complaints from residents in the flats above, I was told. Surely a canopy would sort out that problem?

A nice meal out without feeling rushed but beware, a 12.5% service charge added to the bill for 2 people. I do not object to paying service charges but Cote should tell their guests when giving the bill so the guest has the option to either pay it or adjust the amount. This aside, the food was tasty and staff friendly.

We had a delightful lunch and the service, as always, was excellent. The choice of food, the set menus as well as the a la carte, is well balanced and caters for all. Thanks for a great lunch.

The lobster shell could be better prepared by the chef by breaking the claws using a sharp kitchen knife.

I booked a table for 6 for my 70th birthday on 26th June. I was given a table near the door and a cold draught of air from it made my guests cold, even after we had asked for the curtains to be drawn (my mistake as I should have asked for a table in the middle of the restaurant). Starters were great. I ordered a Moules marinieres and was very disappointed. The moules had been overcooked and most of them had stuck to their shells when opened. I didn't order a dessert. Every three or four weeks I have a breakfast at the restaurant and it is excellent. This meals (for my special occasion was a real disappointment), such a shame as the service and ambience are so good there. Will have to think again about using Cote for a dinner!

As usual an excellent, in this case, breakfast, enhanced by the (French?) front of house madame. We have met her before and she deserves a special mention for the quality of service (and charm).

went on 28/6, meal was good and nice atmosphere inside but the waitress Lulu was like a robot, quite serious and no real personality, we asked her where she was from as she had an accent , we always like to ask the waiters/ waitresses, I did feel she was not interested telling us as she said Reading which we felt was a cold answer, I said no, where are you really from but she was quite cold and said Reading again, we felt that she was not really interested telling us so we left it but felt she was not friendly, and it left a negative on our visit.

Had such wonderful service from a young lad that served us! Also the chateaubriand was amazing and would definitely be back more regularly if this was always featured on the menu!
