Very good, although table just to small for breakfast. Table for 4 and 3 of us ate but to small For all the breakfast bits

As usual, a predictably very pleasant evening. Efficient friendly staff and good food. I know I can come to Cote and have a delicious steak - always a ribeye and always cooked as I want it

I ordered the Sole Meuniere which was on the specials, when it arrived it had a strong smell and halfway when I started to eat the lower part it was much softer in texture and the smell even stronger. When I-consulted the server she took my plate to the kitchen, minutes later she returned with the fish saying that the chef said that the fish was delivered fresh and that it should smell like that. I was offered a dessert but feel that this could have been handled a lot better or even by a more senior person like the manager which by the way was nowhere to be see. Overall a poor experience not to be repeated.

Staff are excellent and attentive. We love the menu especially the pork belly!!

A lovely evening with fast service, good food and nice drinks. We especially appreciated the complimentary drinks as this was a special evening for 2 of us (both off to separate universities).

Amazing service and one of the best food we ever try in restaurant in UK. I decide to book a table for my wife’s birthday and I didn’t regret at all because the experience that we get it was amazing! For first time we were visiting this restaurant and they offer us a complimentary sparkling wine for my wife’s birthday.

We had an enjoyable meal, very good value for money.

There was a proan error in taking down part of our order. This appears to have been due to confusion between Minute Steak on the main menu and Weekend Special menu. The latter has lower price and includes green salad.

The full English breakfast was well up to the usual high standard. Eggs, fried and poached done to perfection. Such good value for money.

Excellent service with tasty food. The steak frites are always good value. The only slight negative was that one of the three steaks was a little tough and disappointing compared with the other two. Calamari were also cooked well as tender compared with a previous visit when they had been overcooked. Another enjoyable evening Thank you

Perfectly Cooked the confit duck and shredded cabbage red onion with sultans and sauce was just first class.

Excellence in food quality, range and presentation in all respects

Five of us had a lovely lunch today choosing from the set menu.

Food was nice, however I had the lamp rump and asked for the new potatoes to be substituted for gratin potatoes which they did, but it was the smallest, clearly halted portion served. Even the waitress was embarrassed! I should of complained really on the night but was with friends so didn’t want to dampen the spirits!! I know chefs have budgets but that was made very clear to me, the customer, tonight!!

A lovely dinner with my daughter to celebrate her GCSE results. Food excellent as always - we had our usual choice of tuna carpaccio followed by roast duck for my daughter, the crab timbale followed by the chicken and walnut salad for me. There are two reasons for not scoring higher: first, when I asked for a glass of cotes de Gascogne the server said they didn’t sell it. I asked to see the wine list and sure enough, there it was. It’s not like the wine list is huge. Second, is that they still persist on adding 12.5% to the bill. I would always leave a tip, but I don’t like not having a choice about it.

The food was excellent as always, fresh, hot and delicious. The waitress could tell that we were two old friends catching up and gave us time. We weren’t rushed at all and it was a lovely evening. Thanks very much

Don’t choose the rump of lamb asked for medium it was rare and mostly fat complained and replaced and again rare and fatty. Not s good experience for me. My fellow diners made better choices.

We enjoyed a lovely light summer lunch today. The food was excellent and the service attentive without being intrusive.

Still the best in Wokingham. Always a treat to come, whatever time of day.

The melon and ham came on a warm plate which is inappropriate. The cold bowl of gazpacho also came on a hot plate. The children had fish goujons and we thought two were not enough. The children are 7 and 8 and this was just not enough. Finally one of our party ordered an espresso which was delivered to the table before her dessert.

Great food and great service at reasonable prices. Spacious restaurant and bar area. Highly recommended

I’m usually a great supporterCote Brasseries and eat at one or another (so far 15 ) at least once a month. Usually I am very happy, as indicated by my previous mails, but today was slightly disappointed. The food was, as ever, excellent but the service rather below standard. It seemed as if the place was understaffed with delays in response to reasonable requests. It perked up with the arrival of an additional waitress for whom I have nothing but praise. I don’t know her name but she is French, friendly, efficient, remembered us from previous visits and I hope is soon promoted. My main problem is that I have some reservations about the bill. My wife and I both ordered the inclusive fruit juice, main course and coffee menu. The bill came to £31.44 which seems a little OTT. Another party breakfasting at the same time queried their bill. I should have done the same but was in a bit of a rush so neglected to do so. It appeared that the bill was based on individual items rather than the offered “cafe complet” rate. Is this a change of policy? The first poor review I have given Cote in some 40+ visits but saved by the quality of the food.

AS ALWAYS A VERY ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE. FRIENDLY STAFF AND GOOD FOOD. ONE MINOR ISSUE MY WIFE ORDERED GLUTEN FREE BUT ON REFLECTION THOUGHT THAT THE BREAKFAST WASN'T THE GLUTEN FREE OPTION ORDERED!
