Côte Wokingham

We had a hugely enjoyable weekday lunch at the Wokingham branch. Friendly welcome followed by comfortable seating, fresh French bread, a decent Chardonnay and two delicious fish dishes. Great coffee to finish. All at a modest cost.

Sorry to say we waited an hour from first course to our main. We arrived at 6-15 and could not leave until 10pm our guests needed to travel after eating and were disappointed at the service.

Excellent food, well served, reasonably priced mid week evening menu. Friendly and helpful staff. A bit noisy at times (echo) Draught when the door opened where I was sitting but mentioned to staff who turned a door heater on and ball was warm!

So much better than the trip to Welwyn Garden City Côte earlier this week! Quick, pleasant service, good food.

From the welcome to the drinks and the delicious food ... Cote is totally dependable every time. We had fab cocktails, lovely wine and the French onion soup, calamari, stroganoff and risotto followed by chocolate fondant and creme caramel. All dishes were up to the usual great standard and the service great too. No wonder this is one of our regular places to go in Wokingham.

Couldn’t fault it. My partner had a cold and as we sat down a member of staff brought her a hot lemon and honey drink....we didnt ask for it, we weren’t charged for it. Going the extra mile is not often seen these days. Thank you for not only your wonderful service but also for the great food. Definitely recommend.

Good but main course took over an hour to arrive.

Overall, the food is amazing. The staff are attentive and the service is excellent. the food that we had was in my opinion worth every penny and I would recommend Cote. The only downside was the noise level in the restaurant. It was quite hard to have a conversation with on and other but that's to be expected on a Friday night.

Good food, but remain unsure why a medium-well steak is so difficult for Cote to get right. Apart from that it was a good meal.

Wonderful meal with friends. Great staff, very attentive. All the meals came at the same time, starters mains and desserts for 10 so no one left waiting. Was a belated special birthday celebration for my hubby and Cote did not disappoint. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We have eaten here a number of times before and will definitely again 😋

A busy Saturday night but the welcome was warm. It took time to be served but the staff were incredibly busy and they handled the service with professionalism. It’s a huge space and lacked the atmosphere of our local Cirencester Cote. As for the food, it was a good meal although my mushroom crepes could have had less sauce but it was tasty nonetheless.

It was very busy but the waitress found time for us all and went out of her way to make sure we all had separate bills that some had asked for.

Welcoming staff and food was awesome. We have eaten in other Cotes and they are very much highly rated BUT Wokingham just seem to have something very special about it.

Early evening meal so quiet, service friendly and efficient. Menu choice in the set offers seem limited as there is little change. Overall a good experience

My daughter and I had a lovely lunch. The service was excellent as was the food. The restaurant was fairly quiet but that meant that we weren't rushed. Can't wait to return.

We absolutely love Cote (Wokingham) for breakfast or dinner. Only criticism is that service can be really, painfully slow. I love a slow meal but when you have to ask someone to take your order, it's too slow. The staff are lovely but the restaurant either needs more staff or better training required.

Excellent food and service at a great price! I had the sardines followed by the puny lentilles with roasted vegetables- yummy! Husband had the rillettes followed by steak. Then we shared a galette des rois that you don’t usually see in the UK.

Staff were attentive. Choice of menu for Brunch was good. However: - Service was a bit slow. Orange juice, which 5 of the party had, was of different concentrations. Some were too weak and some were too strong. I suspect the carton had not been shaken before use. Parts of my meal was cold. It was either the eggs, the hollandaise sause or both. It's a shame that we had these issues. Previous trips have always been good and I was embarrassed that our guests, from Hong Kong, did not see Cote at its best. The father of one of my guests, a Hong Kong resident, is a fan of Cote and every time he visits the UK he takes breakfast at Cote. It was a shame that his experience was not matched by his daughter and son.

Lovely atmosphere and fantastic food. We had a fabulous family meal here. Cannot fault the staff or the food. We will be back again.

Like most restaurants nowadays, Cote can be quite noisy which makes it difficult for some who are hard of hearing but because there were not many people there (New Years Day am) it was great. The staff are always so welcoming and polite.

Warm greeting, table was booked and would recommend that for breakfast on a Sunday as it can be busy. Order was taken promptly and service was good but a little slow as was busy (didn’t help that we were very hungry!). Food very tasty and well prepared. Would definitely go again.

A very good brunch (full English) on New Year's Day. It was one of the few occasions when I've been impressed by restaurant toast!
