Great location as not far from train station and town centre. Very welcoming and great service. Food was delicious but a bit pricey.
We went for lunch at Cote in Wokingham today and enjoyed a three-course lunch for a very reasonable price. The service was friendly and efficient and the food very good.
Our main dish (meat) arrived about 40 minutes after the stater, it was cold, it was put together in a rush and as much as we want to we couldn't finish it, never mind enjoy it. The starter was good as well as the service.
Good food, good service. We had breakfast and our food arrived quickly. Good food, good service. We had breakfast and our food arrived quickly. Happy
Enjoyed a relaxed lunch, with superb food and accompanied by excellent service 5*. I had the best seafood linguine that I can remember highly recommended
Wonderful selection for the lunchtime menu. Well cooked and presented and staff very attentive. My fish was cooked beautifully and my friend said her chicken was lovely Good experience
Yummy food and excellent cheerful service. Just a bit noisy from the coffee machine. It's the best reasonably priced restaurant in Wokingham and I can walk there.
Lovely atmosphere, great staff and beautiful food. The swordfish was incredible as was the praline crepe for dessert. Each course felt like a treat. It was a much needed evening out for us as new parents!
Arrived on time and were shown to a lovely secluded booth. Staff were all pleasant and attentive, food excellent as usual and ambience bright and bustling.
Food was excellent as always. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. I'd booked a table for 7, 4 adults and 3 children. One adult is in a wheelchair and they were most helpful in sitting her, taking her coat, and putting her wheelchair in a safe place. They were also very accommodating with an 18 month old in a high chair!
We had another excellent meal on a busy Friday evening. Excellent service and the food as always exceeded our expectation. Both desserts finished our meal well.
Great food, nice venue, good service, competitively priced. Great food, nice venue, good service, competitively priced. Great food, nice venue, good service, competitively priced. Great food, nice venue, good service, competitively priced.
Food and service were excellent as always. i usually go for the steak option but really enjoyed the haddock special. Always made to feel very welcome
As always a lovely meal with excellent service. Did feel a little rushed this time though as we had all 3 courses in under 2 hours!! Would've been nice to have the option to have taken our time
We really enjoyed our visit at Cote we went for my husbands birthday with our teenage grandchildren. Service was excellent as usually we also had a very good table position. Will be back :-)
Cote is one of our favourite restaurants for it's food which we think is hard to beat, the friendly and helpful efficient staff who are now well known to us, as we are frequent diners, visiting every week and sometimes more when we have visitors, who we introduce to a Cote experience. However the reason I have not given a 6 is because unfortunately you sometimes have some very inconsiderate parents dining, who feel that we all ought to put up with their screaming and shouting children, who sometimes run around the restaurant causing a hazard to staff & diners. Whilst I understand that you don't want to lose any business I think it should be acceptable for your staff to ask that they respect other diners. That doesn't happen and so they continue to spoil others Cote experience.
Delicious food and good portion size. Enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine - first points award. Would recommend the chicken liver pâté and fried squid starters!
As always when dining at Cotes we received good service, nice wine and most importantly decent food all at a reasonable price - consistency is the word
A warm smile and greeting in arrival. Prompt and efficient service and excellent value for money. My only criticism is that marmalade is not available at breakfast.
Excellent value for money as always. We went for the early evening meal, fabulous value at £12.95 for three courses. The staff were lovely too.
The food was delicious with subtle flavours. The staff were attentive . We very much enjoyed the evening and we look forward to trying some different dishes .
We enjoyed our meal and both the service and attitude of the staff was excellent. We found the ambience very relaxing and look forward to a visit again soon.
Good place to eat apart from the raw steak I was served. However this was rectified and I was not charged for that part of the meal.
A friend and I visited the Wokingham branch on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was probably about 2/3 full, tastefully illuminated and with a welcoming ambience. We were shown to a table promptly by the head waiter who remained polite and helpful throughout the evening. We were given water straight away and again when we requested more, which we appreciated. We chose from the a la carte menu, and there were plenty of interesting choices. My friend started with liver parfait which was very substantial and enjoyable. I had a warm beetroot salad which was refreshing but not overly exciting. For mains we had a risotto verte and haddock, wrapped in smoked bacon with spinach and puy lentils. My fish was perfect! Beautifully cooked, substantial and a decent amount of sauce - possibly too much for some people but ideal for me as I like plenty. We finished with a creme brulee and a creme caramel which we both enjoyed. I thought the service was perfect - unhurried and unobtrusive - we were among the last to leave but did not feel pressurised to leave. The prices were very reasonable and the presentation was excellent. My only small niggle was that the table was a little bit small - we were fine, but if we had had more drinks or sides we would have been a bit tight for space. The spacing of the tables though was excellent - you did not feel you were intruding on other people's conversations. Overall a very enjoyable meal and evening, and I would certainly go back again - hoping to try the breakfast soon!
Environment was inviting and decor was relaxing. Brunch was delicious and well priced. Cote had options for vegetarians which is always a plus for me. Reasonably priced. Coffee could have been of a better standard.
Lovely food and excellent service. My only criticism is the noise level, I've been quite a few times now and it's always the same if sitting towards the back of the restaurant.
Excellent staff and service with great food at a very fair price. The Wokingham branch of Cote is still the best in the local area.
As very regular customers we are usually delighted with the food, so it was quite a shock today to find the food was not up to the usual standard! I had the cauliflower soup as my starter which had no taste at all and had to be sent back to be heated up. My husband had the mushroom Brioche which was served with about a desert spoon of mushrooms so we asked for more. My main course was the roasted Hake with black olives/chick peas which was completely flavourless. Husbands steak started OK but a section of it hadn't been cooked at all. Puddings thankfully were delicious. All in all most disappointing and hope this will not become a trend!!!!
Excellent welcome, food & service! The only disappointment was lack of parking nearby, which caused a considerable problem. However, the restaurant experience was very enjoyable!
The food was excellent. We all really enjoyed our meals. The service was also excellent, our waiter was great. Lovely atmosphere too. They have the best Creme Caramel there!
Just as one cannot qualify uniqueness so one cannot qualify the excellence of Cote Brasserie Wokingham. Food , ambience and the overall appeal of this restaurant is unique.
We had a lovely birthday meal as usual, the service is amazing. We had a meal with you a year ago and my fiancee went in to labour then to hospital where our lovely little boy was born. This bistro not only provides lovely food but also brings on early labour through the relaxed and lovely feel that this bistro provides. Many thanks to you for a friendly and magnificent meal Best regards Bryan
Food was great but the service was slow. We've eaten here on several occasions but this time they seemed to be a bit short handed.
Lovely breakfast, excellent service. Highly recommend will be back soon. Friendly environment, staff so helpful and food great. Such a nice way to spend a Sunday
Food was v. good, service started off good and got less attention as time went on. No goodbye. Staff don't ever look like they enjoy working there- atmosphere is a bit stiff consequently.
For a chain restaurant I fine Cote very good. Varied menu, good waiting staff and good cooking. The Wokingham branch is no exception. Slightly more up market than Zizzi and Cafe Rouge across the road.
The servic e was prompt despite the restaurant being full and the staff were calm and friendly despite having a lot to do - so great evening
Enjoyed Sunday breakfast here - staff helpful and very pleasant. A good choice on the menu. All in all a very relaxed Sunday morning and a nice ambience.
Always a pleasure to eat at Cote. The staff are all lovely, very pleasant and helpful. The food is always good too. We will continue to dine at Cote, our favourite meal,is brunch.
First class service from a team who ensure that all customers, young and old, thoroughly enjoy the culinary experience. Could not fault the food or the service, cannot wait until our next visit! AM
Great staff always happy and having fun whilst working to a professional standard noticed that the glassware was spotlessly clean as was silverware and lovely ambience
I had tuna nicoise, which was quite nice, but my friend asked for the steak tartare as a main course, but was disappointed to find that it was the same size as the starter. We had pissaladiere with reblochon cheese to start. It was OK, but they were rather sparing with the cheese. Overall the meal was quite nice, but not fantastic.
Food was generally okay but the service was very poor. Basics of good service were missed in terms of remembering who ordered what, no follow up as to whether we were happy with the food after serving and having to request and then wait to place an order for additional drinks.
I would have really liked a dish that was on the lunchtime and early evening menu til 7pm. Our table was booked for 7 but we didn't order til after that. I asked if I could have that dish and was told no. That was disappointing. So I chose another from the main menu- haddock with lentils and a beure blanc sauce- the portion size was small and there was a mustard flavour in it that I didn't like 😞 so I didn't eat all the lentils. Still hungry... I enjoyed my gin and tonics though.
A great meal with very good service in a great setting - would recommend the booth seats for a party of 4 people. Overall very good.
Excellent service, good food and very toddler friendly. Set menu is excellent, lots of choice. Not too busy at midday on Easter Monday although we did book in advance.
Excellent meal, well presented and with friendly, well-paced service. Only improvement point is that I tried to sign up to the Cote program in advance as we had a card offering a free bottle of wine. The website had an unexplained statement saying that registrations had been suspended. Nonetheless, the restaurant manager honoured the pledge with good grace and showed great "service recovery".
Excellent food and good service. The cost was reasonable. The surroundings were noisy owing to poor acoustics in the middle section of the restaurant and a large group of mothers and children celebrating a birthday. But they did seem to be having a good time!
The food was excellent as was the service but we do find the restaurant very noisy but that will not stop us from returning as it is our favourite restaurant in Wokingham and we have recommended it to many of our friends.
wewe we are regular customers but this visit was disappointing as we were with friends and we told that only orders from the a la cart menu carried the reward for a bottle of wine. this was new to me and was not pointed out when I first arrived when I explained we had a reward with us of this wine. ~The manager came and then altered the arrangement in order for us to have our reward. Can you make it clear what the restrictions normally are.
