Côte Wokingham

Once again we have a most enjoyable lunch. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The service quick and accurate. The food exceeded our expectations and the portions were very generous. It remains our venue of choice for a quick lunch.

Whilst a quiet start for an early sitting the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. A good efficient service from friendly staff. Good value for money offer of quality food

Very enjoyable as usual. Haddock a little over cooked and a bit dry but overall nice meal. Becoming a regular customer my partner enjoys it too.

Was made to feel welcome straight away . Lovely food. Waitress was lovely happy and nothing was too much trouble. She had lovely people skills.

Lovely food and excellent service but I feel it is rather expensive

We were at Cote last week - food really very poor. However, outstanding yesterday evening. Waitress had zero personality - in fact last time she was quite rude to us....

Delicious food well cooked, served up on hot plates by friendly staff who gave good service BUT for the third visit in succession items on the menu were off. Today it was the rack of lamb and the pork, before it had been the fish and something else. On the occasion before that it had been something else. This really will have to be sorted out as friends and I who regularly visit Cote in Wokingham will stop going altogether. This is not how a professional establishment should operate and is infuriating for customers.

Love this restaurant and normally would give 5 stars without hesitation. However today the service was not up to the usual standard. Having ordered our mains, the waiter delivered one but not the other. 5 minutes later we caught hold of someone to chase it up, only to find the first had been delivered to the wrong table. By now we were so hungry, we had our mains and then ordered a starter :) Other than this, the food was good and we would still come back as mistakes happen.

Food and service very good however not happy with discretional service charge, asked the waitress if they received it, answer was they did not, more profit to Cote

Comfortable and good service. The meal was excellent with the exception of my starter endive and roquefort salad which had obviously been plated some time before as the endive and other salad ingredients were badly wilted.

Booked a table for 7 online and asked for a special table as it was my mum's birthday. They not only gave us a lovely table towards the back of the restaurant but also came out with a glass of fizzy rose and asked who the birthday girl was - such a lovely touch. Our waitress was brilliant and couldn't do enough, and all the food (starters and mains) was absolutely delicious and completely faultless. I called before the evening to ask if I could bring a cake and candles to be brought out after dinner which wasn't a problem and I arrived early to give this to them. After dinner I didn't have to remind our waitress, she just came out with the cake, candles lit and singing happy birthday. She couldn't do enough. Thank you Cote for a lovely evening.

Last nite wasn’t as nice as usual. Our chicken leg was little tough to get off bone and it was the smallest one I’ve ever seen. Waited for our sides and had a Creme caramel almost chucked at us. Fortunately it landed on floor behind us. We had two bottles of house white wine but they added a bottle of red wine onto our bill, so check your bill

once again we had a great evening at Cote. The menus change subtlety ore the months but the quality of food and service is always to a good standard.

Excellent value for money, staff very friendly and attentive. Restaurant was very lively, however you still managed to be in your own private space, top notch.

Prompt service, perhaps a bit too quick! Also, we’re not told that certain dishes were not available until ordering. Overall food good and enjoyable evening.

Particularly good today. Our full English breakfast was lovely. The young man who took our orders and served us was charming. I would heartily recommended their formula breakfast deal. It is excellent value for £10.50

As always 'Cote Brasserie' provides a first class service coupled with a gastronomic delight. Whether we visit Cote Brasserie in Windsor, Marlow or Wokingham, one is always guaranteed excellent service and delicious food. This was our first time visit to Cote in Wokingham and it did not disappoint, our waitress was lovely, very helpful and attentive. One of my selections, I asked to change (even after it was served at the table), she did this with no fuss and was the consummate professional. Thank you Cote Brasserie at Wokingham for making our early dinner perfect and so enjoyable. Best wishes to all the team there.

For the first time ever I had to send a meal back this week. However in 3 years' that is a good record. Cotes is one of the best restaurants I use.

We go to Cote on a frequent basis as the menu is good, portion sizes more than adequate and service is great. We are always looked after and are never disappointed.

Midweek brunch with a friend. Excellent coffee and (as usual) good tasty food. Noise level was good (it can get noisy with all the hard surfaces bouncing the sound around) and the service good without being intrusive.

Excellent service and really pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant. Quality of the food and wine was exceptional. We will definitely go back to Cotes in the not too distant future.

Early evening meal before 7pm, run out of whitebait for starters, and Hachis Parmentier for main meal. Very disappointing as we were given menus ,made our choice ,then told the dishes had run out . Staff were great under embarrassing conditions for them

As ever, great food and service, excellent and a very reasonable price. I wish I knew where Côte source their sausages and bacon. As good as at home and no washing up!

We are regulars at Cote and mostly love the food and service. We chose one of the plainer dishes yesterday so not a lot to say about that. Service was good as usual. We only have one problem with Cote which is the noise level. The floors are either wood or tiles and therefore nothing to cushion the sound levels. We have to work around this by trying to pick less busy times.

Excellent meal, as always. The steak was cooked to perfection and the service was excellent. This is the best restaurant in Wokingham in my opinion.

Overall we enjoyed our lunch the staff were very attentive and efficient however we had to wait nearly an hour for our main course. My friend chose the chicken which she said was tasteless and the beans were raw so she didn't eat her main course but this was deducted from the bill. My other friend was impressed with the gluten free menu and enjoyed the risotto

This was not our first time at Cote but as usual the food and atmosphere and service was great. I had the half of chicken and fry’s. The thigh meet was soft and juicy but the breast was a little dry.

Nice table position. Often tables for two are poked away next to the toilets or in the draft from the door, but not here. Service not fast, but we were not in a hurry so no problem there. Delicious food, sensible portion size, attentive but not overbearing service. A very pleasant, although fairly expensive evening out.

What great memories we all have of our evening at Cotes. It was brilliant being with the family, enjoying such happy talk and the most fabulous food (scrumptious) served by a lovely friendly waitress. Yes a wonderful evening. Thankyou.

Restaurant clean and neat. Pleasant staff and good service and food. One minute steak a little chewy but eaten anyway ! Will come again soon.

Consistently good food! Been here over a dozen times now. Staff friendly, particularly if you are too! Recommend a punt if you’ve not been. Enjoy.

We had the fish pie which was really good and tasty. The service was fine and the ambience of the whole place is good . We always enjoy our meals there and the crepe caramel is the best of deserts and keeps drawing us back!

Great food, layout of restaurant meant we couldn’t get the attention of staff easily, decor and atmosphere is quite stark and unwelcoming such a shame as we love cote brasserie

Haven’t been to Cote in the morning in a long time. Today reminded me what a great place it is for a leisurely and delicious brunch.

We had a great meal and service as always. Mussels were fantastic. They really do cook fish well here. Cold soup freshly made and excellent.
