Côte Wokingham

Always friendly, efficient service and a delicious breakfast - our regular local go to place which would always recommend. Great for lunch and dinner too.

Perfect, made late booking but were welcomed to our table right on time. Ordered out food and waited no more than 10 minutes and drinks plus food arrived.

As always, an excellent meal, swiftly delivered to our table. A great (shared) appetiser, followed by a pair of very good fish-based main courses, all washed down with an fine Chardonnay.

Despite it being the busiest night of the year, New Year’s Eve, both the food and service were excellent. We booked this as we just wanted a meal (not a set New Year’s Eve including disco etc), and we were very pleased with our choice.

We went for a post Christmas lunch and the restaurant was not too busy. Service was pleasant as always but we had to wait nearly 30 minutes after our starters for the main courses to arrive. I ordered coq au vin and the chicken leg was still bloody in the centre but the rest was edible. Not our best experience at Cote.

Just perfect !! Good food, excellent service and good value. What more can you ask for. No doubt that we will go again very soon.

The service was friendly and warm and the food was fine not great but adequate considering we had orenordered our fish was cooked from frozen or very over cooked how can you over cook fish !

Me and my party experienced very good polite service in a pleasant environment the food was tasty and well presented. Look forward to our next visit.

Food outstanding. Only downside was the clattering of coffee cups as they were setting of the area around the coffee machine for the evening rush.

Another predictably good breakfast with efficient friendly service and excellent coffee. It’s better to visit in less busy times as otherwise the sound bounces off all the hard surfaces and it can get very noisy.

Great time with the girls. We had a full English as usual. Yum! It is such good value for money. We will be back in the New Year

Delicious food, served quickly, fab atmosphere . My friend is disabled and she was looked after. I also found the set Christmas menu was good value for money and ... scrumptious

An excellent evening was had by all. The xmas menu was excellent and very well presented and cooked. So often xmas menus are a rip off and poor value. Not this one!

The food as usual was very good. Our only criticism was that my wife asked for a little jug of hot water (to top up her cafetiere) and was brought a cup of hot water then when we asked if it could be changed for a small jug (to make it easy to pour) she came with a teapot full of water! Perhaps it was a language problem!

Fabulous breakfast for my wife's birthday. They even included a birthday card and gift for her. English breakfast as part of their Formule was fantastic. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Lovely food. Staff are friendly and attentive, however, a little slow in serving as the restaurant was a little busy on the day we went.

Excellent Service and a very welcoming return to the restaurant. A great warm atmosphere, with a new specials menu for December. Food quality good as usual, we will return.

Excellent Food, we had the early evening set menu with 3 courses. The main was fish parmentier which was delicious with plenty of prawns and fish. Good value for money and good service.

Good service and a lovely meal, apart from the warm lentil salad, somehow thought there would be some lettuce scattered with lentils and bacon with an egg on top but it was just nearly all lentils and not very warm. Everything else was delicious though.

The standard of food was high and the portion size about right. A nice touch in common with the French styling of the restaurant would have been to have bread served with the meal at no additional cost. Service was friendly but a little clunky; serviettes were missing from the table on arrival and had to be requested; the fist course was a little slow coming. Overall though, a very pleasant dining experience in comfortable and stylish surroundings and one which we will not be slow to repeat.

I ordered fish stew but was given this dish without any fish in it but just plenty of mussels and some squids and small prawns. When I checked with the waitress, then only they realised the chef has forgotten to add the fish fillet into it. Moreover when the fish fillet came out separately awhile later but was too salty.

Good quality food, with a good atmosphere. Efficient service and the team were quick to act on feedback over a particular dish and made all efforts to ensure we had a great experience. We will return

Excellent warm beetroot salad followed by tasty tenderloin of pork...all gluten free so I was very happy😊. I like going to Côté, I’m always made welcome and I like the fact they have a separate gf menu.

Service was excellent. Food was good but everything was not quite hot enough. Usually the food is hot and served on very hot plates. Not this time though. Good experience in spite.

The food was really tasty. But the noise level was unbelievable we had to shout at each other to hear, not good . so you need more fabrics to soak up the noise. Not sure I would visit on a Saturday again.

Excellent, attentive but unobtrusive service. The food was splendid, both in presentation and quality. The three course menu had sufficient variety for our group and we will certainly return!

I had the (lunch and) early evening set meal with a group of 4 friends we all thought it excellent value, and the food was of very high quality. And service with a smile!

I didn’t give the 12.5% today. I had to remind the staff of two things they had forgotten about. The response I got when I said I was not going to pay was a bit flippant. I did give a smaller tip. The Auto 12.5% gratuity is too cosy and doesn’t encourage the extra effort or even regular effort it seems. Nevertheless the meal was good. Tasty and well presented.

As always, everything was fine. I had the sea bass from the "Premier" menu which came with some fine mussels. My guest had the Cassoulet which was also excellent.

We had a relaxing family dinner in a vibrant atmosphere. The needs of a Vegetarian, a Lover of Steak, and a Lover of Fish were all met excellently, rounded off with excellent cheeses.

My favourite restaurant in Wokingham, 5 star food and lovely staff. An added bonus is that there always seems to be plenty of staff so prompt service every time I have been

We had a very nice evening , food and service was very good , Cote Brasserie is always reliable , we’ve never had a bad meal there

My favourite local restaurant....Three dinners at Cote Brasserie in the last 6 weeks, two of which were at Cote Wokingham. As with the previous visit to Wokingham, last night mirrored the lack of good service - something I have never complained about before. There is a distinct lack of serving staff and no sight of management. The poor girl serving us was rushed off her feet, having too many tables to attend at one time. The same waitress served us last time, apparently her first night, and had no apparent help then either. On that occasion when a manager had asked if we had enjoyed our meal, although my answer was yes, as usual, I felt the need to point out that we had had to wait 40 minutes between courses. I do know people who no longer frequent Cote Wokingham because the service has gone downhill. Such a shame!

I took my friend to Cote for Breakfast yesterday, We both had a dish with poached eggs when they arrived they were like soft boiled eggs and not runny. We mentioned this to the waitress, who did not reasponed and just walked away. Also my second coffee was too strong again no action was taken to rectify this. All in all very disappointed with the experience . Cote is one of the chains that we frequent a lot in various parts of the Country, If we have another experience like this we will not be using this chain again.

Great restaurant, great food & always nice hot food, served on hot plates. Staff are lovely, friendly and very attentive. Love going here for weekend brunch!

My family and I were very impressed with both the staff and the food at Cote, Wokingham. The young French lady who was greeting the customers was very welcoming indeed and I congratulated her on how warmly she did it. The food was delicious, well cooked and well presented. The only criticism I have is that like many restaurants today, as it began to fill up it became very noisy so we decided it was time to leave.

Food and service very good as usual despite the restaurant being very busy, particularly enjoyed the bean cassoulet, macon village wine also very good, will go again

Now that the menus are too extensive the quality of the food has been compromised. My cassoulet was very dry and too salty. The staff were very efficient and pleasant but the quality of the food needs to be addressed.

A lovely breakfast as usual. Just a couple of comments. My toast was more like bread than toast and there was no marmalade. The French do like confiture à l’ orange too!!

Reliably tasty brunch. I like the way it’s easy to make changes - I loathe fried and poached eggs, but very simple to change to scrambled. The smiley faces of the staff help to make the place relaxing

The food was good but unfortunately many items on the vegetarian menu were not available. We were told that this was because the menu was changing. If this is the case then surely another menu could be printed temporarily.
