Such a lovely evening with friend, the early evening menus were great value.

Excellent food (inc GF options) & service as always! One of favourite local restaurants.

The steak in the steak frite was a bit overcooked without any tinge of pink, which was a bit disappointing, but other than that the food and overall experience was very satisfactory, as usual here.

We always enjoy our visits to Cote in Wokingham. Good priced delicious meals.

Wonderful food, great atmosphere and friendly service as usual. Our go to restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

10 of us were sitting at table 53 at 12 noon on Saturday 28th December. I don't know the name of the lady who served us but she was lovely. She explained the menus perfectly and took into account the ages of our grandchildren giving them a real personal service. She also advised that there would be a waiting time for the food because of our choices which was fine. The food came quicker than expected and everyone agreed the food was excellent. Desserts were also mouthwateringly delicious. I am sorry not to have found out the name of our server because she was an absolute angel.

Food and service was great but I find the noise levels very high. Not good if you use hearing aids!

A thoroughly enjoyable New Year’s Eve at Cote in Wokingham. The meal was first class from the amuse bouche to the desert. We were a table of six and there from 21.00 to 00.45. The atmosphere was really pleasant throughout and the staff were absolutely excellent......hats off to them all. This was our second new year experience at this restaurant and I’m sure it won’t be our last.

Had a lovely Boxing Day lunch with family, service and food was excellent.

Very good meal. My sirloin steak was the best steak I have had for quite some time. Great waitress too - very friendly and attentive, though I would have appreciated her topping up our champagne rather than us doing it for ourselves, but no big deal at all. A bit noisy with children (but you expect that when you dine at 6pm on Christmas Eve) and not too keen on the "jazz" style background music as it got on my nerves after a while. Overall, very pleased.

A lack oF Christmas decorations spoiled the atmosphere for a festive meal. It could have been any time of the year The restaurant looked dull & uninviting.

I brought two guests and two of our meals were fine. The third, a ravioli, was served cold. This was pointed out and redressed. The service response to the problem was very good indeed and we left with no complaint. I wouldn't bother mentioning it other than on my last but one visit, food was also improperly finished, being initially overcooked, and then, when replaced, served cold. These are symptoms of the same problem in the kitchen which has obviously not been resolved.

We were a party of 7 celebrating a birthday and I have to say it was slightly embarassing on arrival to be greeted with indecision about our table which had been booked weeks ago and was suggested we waited while a table was assembled and laid...disappointing. However the food was excellent as was the service by a very capable waitress. Sue Sutton

Our Christmas treat. Anne ordered the fillet steak and the staff happily exchanged the chips for peas. I ordered from the daily menu. The food was very good and the portions ideal for us.

Really disappointed in Cote, Wokingham. I ate at Windsor for lunch on Saturday 21/12 and the food and service was excellent... Dinner at Wokingham on 22/12 was a totally different experience. Starters: asked for mine without gherkins and request was ignored. Plate was sent back to the kitchen and chef clearly jusy picked off the gherkins. Main: Steak pricing was BIZARRE. £19 for a 14oz fillet, £22 for a 7oz (go figure...). I chose a steak special for £24.95. Ask for rare and got a medium to well! Meat was tough and had to order a side to make it a full meal. Massively overpriced and very underwhelming. Bill: A discretionary 12.5% service charge for a table of 3 is ridiculous. 10% is standard, and even then should not be added automatically for a small table!!!! Service: Server didn't seem to listen to requests. Everything done through a tablet, which means no engagement and also some electrical troubles at one point! Server kept calling me 'darling' and 'my love', which I find irritating and inappropriate (he didn't seem to do the same with my two other dinner companions...). Overall a VERY disappointing experience, and am horrified I had to pay for the displeasure of eating there. Won't be visiting again!

We thought it was poor value for money, there was no ambience especially as it was a Christmas meal with friends, no decorations or even the Christmas plant Poinsettia. The chicken and walnut salad was mainly green lettuce leaves, and I had to request extra walnuts as they were chopped so small you could not find them and I had 2 small pieces of avocado. We do not find it acceptable is that the 12 and half per cent gratuity is added to the bill. We will not be hurrying back.

We have been a regular patron of the Wokingham restaurant ever since it first opened and we both felt that this time our overall impression (as it was over the past few times we have visited) was that it has been 'average' rather than 'special'. At a £140.00 for a meal for two it needs to be 'special' as this is a lot of money and with other restaurants at a similar price in Wokingham where there is a more 'special' feeling like Ruchetta and Rossini's we will need to now consider other options before coming back. The food was good, as was our waitress, but the overall service, ambiance, and atmosphere felt 'tired'. One final note, the noise levels were very invasive.

atmosphere... not great, staff need to be more happy and helpful, don’t agree with 12.5 % gratitude when actually the staff are there to work and be paid already so why we tipping them ..if they were a bit more friendly then yes we have paid that but on this occasion it was not granted ..but will come again food great ....not one person asked how we was or was it a Special occasion.. ..dissatisfied on the hospitality side ..

Great atmosphere, excellent service and food. It was my birthday so we enjoyed the complimentary Kir Royales. Cote has never disappointed us and didn’t this time.

Friendly atmosphere & warm welcome. Food was delicious! The only thing we did notice this time of the year was that there were no Christmas Decorations inside. Lovely entrance outside though.

Such polite waiters/waitresses, attentive, helpful. Food is phenomenally good quality and at last somewhere that doesn’t cover everything in salt!
