We love Cote, it's one of our favorite places to eat I do however disagree with the service charge added to the bill as I know the staff do not get the whole amount of it and I would rather tip them direct.
I had requested a table with a good view of the river as we were bringing guests from the US on their first visit to Windsor. There were many suitable tables on the upper level. However we were taken downstairs & given. a table in the middle of the restaurant. We were very disappointed The food & service were Ok but the ambiance was lacking
Lovely meal and drinks with views of Windsor Castle. There was a bit of a wait for service. Got some nice free cocktails w with the reward scheme
Shown are table with few minutes of arriving , had plenty time to ponder over menue , water was give us before ordering drinks , was ask if we need more before ordering food no rush , food was exceptional and most all hot ,all in all excellent evening , would recommend to any one ? Good prices to
Perfect for any occasion Food is great. Location - couldn’t ask for better. Staff willing to help. Great value for money. Calamari is the best I have ever tasted - have to have that as a starter every time.
Lovely view of the river and the boats travelling up and down. Also a very nice meal with good service for our party of 8 people.
Good service, nice food and with a view of Windsor Castle - lovely evening all around. Only drawback is hard surfaces can make it very noisy when venue full. Would recommend.
Absolutely superb location on the river at Windsor overlooking the castle, tables outside & everything. Generally good service, our waiter was very polite & attentive, even though it was a busy lunchtime. Our order for desserts got lost in the system so we were asked three times, but, by way of compensation (although we didn't ask for it), we were not charged for our coffees! Overall excellent lunch - up to Cote's usual high standard - we will be back! Diana
Our waitress Anna couldn't have been more helpful. Explaining different menu choices, and then waiting until my husband made his mind up about what he was going to have to eat! It can take some time! The food was beautiful, and we were not at all rushed in any way sense or form. The food was excellent of course! We had a lovely table with a view of the river, I will definitely come back. Thank you
Food was good but not at the same standard as similar restaurants we have visited. Table for 5 too small and service was mediocre - waiting staff seemed too preoccupied with their on thing and in their own little world, and we felt as customers we were far from being their main concern. Tables were too close to one another and we ended up dining next to a terribly noisy large party, forcing us to almost shout whenever talking amongst ourselves. We left before desert as we couldn’t stand the noise anymore. The waiting staff was informed beforehand that it was a birthday celebration and absolutely no effort was made to mark the occasion, which was a tremendous disappointment. Extremely unlikely we’ll be back there.
Lovely meal on sheltered terrace overlooking the river, with a complimentary kir royal when my son mentioned it was his birthday dinner. Love this restaurant
'specials' usually are on a daily basis subject to ingredients and availability etc, so do not understand how they can be fixed, printed on a permanent menu , and so cant be special on the day !? menu not very exiting.. lots of crockery & cutlery dropped on floor 🤔
Great location, consistent Côte food quality and friendly, knowledgable service. Côte is one of the few restaurant chains that has maintained its food quality over the last few years and is always one of my first choices when visiting a new town
The food was a dissapointment. The service was reasonable but rushed. Empty plates were taken away before everyone had finished. For a mediocre brasserie It was over priced.
We had booked a table for six for a birthday/anniversary celebration, I requested a table by the window which was ready and waiting when we got there. All the staff were helpful and the food perfect and arrived hot and beautifully cooked. Will definitely be back
A cool time on the hottest day of the year. Seated with breezes wafting into the open sided room enjoying two delicious courses from the set menu and cooling drinks, an enjoyable lunch.
Lovely setting, great service, great food, good value. Managed to get a table outside overlooking the river, so a perfect place to sit, relax, catch up and enjoy the ambience and food.
Varied menu with prices to suit everyone. The food was excellent, well presented and hot on arrival. Staff very friendly and helpful. A great evening.
It was a hot day but we were given a table outside in the shade for the five of us. The service of the maitre d and waiters was exceptional, polite and charming. The food was delicious. I had bought a small cake for a birthday celebration and they were happy to bring it outside with candles lit. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We were charged for wine we didn't have plus an optional 12.5% gratuity. Requested the wine was removed from the bill, which was quickly carried out. Refused to pay 12.5% gratuity. Service was slow and inadequate.
I took my elderly mother for lunch and we sat on the terrace by the river and enjoyed the most wonderful views whilst eating our delicious lunch. The smoked mackerel with poached egg was fantastic, my mother had liver pate and we both had plaice with mash and peas for main course. The fish melted in the mouth. This was followed by ice-cream and sorbet dessert. We also took advantage of the pamplemousse spritz offer! Highly recommended.
Great food, good service and lovely location on a warm summer evening! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Try the Fish Parmentier and the Tuna Carpaccio - both excellent.
Cote Windsor is in a fantastic location overlooking the Thames with views up to Windsor Castle.(actually it is in Eton) I have been there many times and the service and food have always been to a high standard. I think it is excellent value for money, and won’t break the bank, especially if you eat from their set menus
Great food, and in particular really excellent service from Adel. I’m a regular at Cote Windsor. The menu and location are superb but it is the consistently high quality of service that impresses me most.
Great service. Very friendly & efficient. Our waitress was lovely. Natural personality and very chatty. They offer a comprehensive menu and the Prestige menu (2 or 3 courses) is great value for money. Fab location too.
I asked for a window with a good view, but out of the sun because of two small boys. They could not have given us a better table. The food and drink were all excellent - as was the waiter.
Arrived ten minutes late to find they had given the table away. Pre-dinner wine did not arrive till third request. Otherwise food was reasonably good.
From set menu smoked mackerel starter was excellent. Main course plaice would have been very good had not the plaice been over cooked Waiter was not exactly a bundle OJ joy However I really enjoy going to Côte as it is excellent value for money
Very, very busy and hot today but service was good, as always and food delicious! The prestige menu is excellent and portions very generous. The best value for money restaurant in the Windsor area with the most perfect setting .
Great service and atmosphere! And the waiter Valentin is fantastic 10 our of 10!!Best experience in Windsor! The food is so tasty and delicious, will definitely recommend to friends
Very lovely setting and good food. Service was very attentive. Problem getting in the entrance to the restauarant as there is a bit of a bottle neck at the entrance
Bit disappointed they had run out of duck but otherwise everything else was great. The food and service was excellent and location just by the river can’t be beaten .
Very good food as always, steaks cooked as requested, really enjoyed my Tuna Nicoise. The service was a little slow , even later on when it wasn't so busy, which is unusual.
Went to Cote the other night with 2 friends. The food was very nice however the service was poor. We were waiting ages for our drinks, and when the main course came, I had to ask twice before my bread came with my Breton fish stew. The food was nicely presented and also hot though. When we had our desserts and coffees, we were kept waiting for a long time for these to arrive, and once they came, they were left on our table for a while before being cleared away. We also asked for some more water and this never arrived. Overall I find the food at cote to always be very nice and visually attractive, however I always feel that when the restaurant gets busy, the service always declines and one is kept waiting for ages.
It is a lovely restaurant great location and fab food, however it is very clear that they are understaffed particularly in this hot weather with additional outside capacity. The service was very mediocre.
Friendly service - we were allocated a nice table with a view of the castle. Chose from the fixed menu which was good value and tasty
Always an enjoyable evening in Cotes. Consistently good, enjoyed the set menu which is great value. Few things had run out but I guess with the fantastic weather & their River side location they are busy.
Lovely setting but the service was unusually slow this time. We waited an hour after our starter for the main course, which I think is too long. The staff were very pleasant and the food was good though.
Great room, nice and clean and all items and specified. We would stay there again. For some reason we didn't know which room we were in but easily found it by trying the door code on a couple of rooms.
All was fine except we did think the portion of chips was very small and they wasn’t anything special. The waiting staff are always very polite
DISAPPOINTING. QUEUE TO GET IN. LONG WAIT TO ORDER.TOUGH DRY CHICKEN. TOUGH DRY APPLE TART. PLEASE ASK YOUR STAFF TO MAKE IT MORE ENJOYABLE. BOB
Great experience and perfect for a special lunch. Beautiful position on the river with excellent food and all well presented. Staff friendly and attentive. Will be back for sure.
Great food, great venue. Friendly and professional staff. I would recommend to everyone. The Thames river at Windsor is a fantastic view. You should try cote Windsor
Good experience. It was a very hot day got a table on the shade. It was busy, table & surrounding area not clean. Staff good
We dine here 3-4 times a year. We’re not regulars but we are local and our requests through advanced bookings are generally always acknowledged which is much appreciated. This recent visit was to celebrate our wedding anniversary and everything was as usual .. EXCELLENT ! View, ambience, price, product and service is everything you could wish for .. thanks for another great experience.
Lovely food and service, we had a table by window for friend’s birthday. Thank you for looking after us so well! We’ll definitely be back!
Cote Windsor is in a wonderful location by the river. The staff are very efficient and friendly staff and their food is consistently excellent and well presented.
