Good food , lovely setting.. On ocassion the service was a bit slow but friendly and polite.
We usually enjoy coming to cote Windsor for brunch/lunch but this evening the service was slow and when the food eventually arrived it wasn’t very nice. The smell of the mussels in our dishes was overpowering and offputting as I don’t think they were fresh. And the haddock fillet was pretty dry. Bit disappointing
It's a shame my experience tonight was unpleasant at Cote compared to my usual dinning at Cote. I was disappointed with the way your manager Eglija handled the situation tonight. I booked a complimentary negroni June menu for myself and my guest, we ordered from the al a cart menu I ordered my usual Breton grilled chicken and my guest the roasted haddock wrapped in bacon we also ordered a bottle of viogner as we were told you were out of sanccere. However my chicken dish arrived over cooked and fried compared to my usual grilled dish I sent it back while my guest endured the more so boiled version of a haddock with pink under cooked bacon while my guest started to eat her dish my dish arrived for the second time only to be cooked the same way but dripping with a herb butter, I called our waiter and showed him both our dishes he agreed and asked to change at this point I declined and we ate what we could but made a point at showing our dish to your manager who agreed with us that both our dishes were not to standard but said she would do something with our final bill after taking our food away. Yes she did do something she made a point of giving me a good gesture with my already complimentary negroni and took away my chicken dish????? Shame.
Very nice meal and helpful staff, would have been 5 but had to ask for water twice
I especially asked for a window seat riverside, and having booked well in advance, I was disappointed that it hadn't been auctioned. We had been there about 20 minutes, and had just been given our water ( no complaint about the wait, it was a Sunday and extremely busy )and a two seat window table became vacant, and given to another couple soon after. The service from our young waiter was very good, he was friendly and efficient, and no complaint about the food which was as always excellent!
The service was shocking and when asking why the food was taking ages the MANAGER was so unhelpful and rude
Great food and friendly staff, must be place to dine while in Windsor.
We all commented that it's great that you can rely on Cote for tasty food. Service was good also.
Had a lovely evening booked a table for 7 at 7pm last night beautiful view of the river which is what I requested. Service slow understand due to being busy but still!!! The bill was not checked had to be returned to remove an item then had to search for someone to settle the bill. Did request another caramel desert but waited so long and bought out the incorrect one Cremebrullea so cancelled it all due to mid communication as too many different servers not once were we asked if all was good!!!!!!
Great food, good service and an excellent location. One of our favourite local breakfast places.
A super lunch and excellent service. We had a super table and enjoyed a great reunion with friends in a very relaxed setting.
The worst service ever! After we were seated it took them over 15 minutes to even acknowledge we were there! Then another 20 minutes to get drinks. The people working there didn’t haven’t a clue to service. I’ve been there with my British friends and the service was fine. As Americans alone they treated us so horribly I will never go back even with my British friends. It wasn’t even busy. Rude rude is all I can say!
It was the usual Cotes cuisine which we enjoy, prompt service ,friendly staff, good food a winning combination.
We were well looked after by our waitress Kate who was new to this restaurant. We shared a chateaubriand, which was divine, but it got cold quickly. This was because it was served on a wooden board and our plates were not warm. We did ask for the meat to be warmed, but clearly the chef did not want to change medium rare to well done so there was minimal change. Apart from that all else was excellent.
Lovely location, food was average, but the service was very poor!
Good food and nice service! Situated in a lovely place by the Eton bridge. Christina
Poor service equalled with poor food. Ordered 2 drinks and managed to get mine wrong. As driving I ordered alcohol free but was served ordinary, which would of put me over the drink drive limit, luckily my partner notice before I had consumed more than I did. My partners food was served like warm, we complained and were asked if we wanted a new meal, but was served the same meal microwaved. Pity this Cote did not offer the same service with food and drinks, as they did with the speed of the bill. Extremely disappointed and not likely to visit again.
Good food, friendly, helpful and professional staff. Value for money
I have eaten here many times and have always been very pleased. So I had no hesitation to take my US work colleagues here for a team dinner. The online booking was easy and reassuring with email confirmation. On the day I called to ask if I could our booking forward one hour and nothing was too much trouble. The menu was great and so reasonably priced, matched with marvellous service and the food was superb. We had a fantastic evening and my US colleagues were very impressed indeed.
Great atmosphere, excellent service and good food! Highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was delicious and the views were stunning of the castle and the river, perfect.
Great location, Great food and Service as always at Cote

Lovely experiance in nice surroundings with attentive service and a good menu.
Great food, excellent service and great table overlooking the castle. Good management team as ever who run this branch.
Beautiful restaurant with amazing river views. Service as always was excellent, friendly and efficient. Food was very skillfully cooked and delicious, highly recommend
Excellent place to go eat xxxx would definitely go back
Very nice location. Good service. classic French food. Nice atmosphere.
Slow service,? Food overdone or cold, service very slow and would not book again, very disappointing
We enjoyed our evening, however those who had the Breton stew were disappointed by the poor quality of the mussels, they used to be much better and now do not meet your usual high standards.
The food was excellent as usual and the service was very attentive!!
Staff were very attentive we had great service from a happy waiter
Just out of hospital and needed comfortable seating. The staff were wonderful and accommodating. Food was fabulous. Thank you!
The food was excellent as usual the service was very attentive we are looking forward to our next visit thanks
Yet another fine meal with very attentive waiting staff not forgetting the greeting we received on arrival
Our meals were most enjoyable and the staff were most attentive.
Lovely way to end our day at Ascot. Food 5*
The food and service was excellent and value for money.
Great service, staff were very attentive. Thank you Coat Windsor. Yummy breakfast sat along the river
Much better experience this week compared to last week. Only one little quibble, I waited 8minutes on arrival before I was greeted and taken to my table. Apart from that, all good.
Lovely setting. Service good . Breakfast not up to usual standard, served warm not hot but it was busy and Father’s Day. Six of us ordered the Formule b/fast deal but we were charged for individual items which l have only just realised. Be warned, check your bill.
Service good as usual, but a tiny bit slow as the restaurant was busier than usual at this time. Something to do with the Garter Ceremony taking place earlier in the day. Slight rush to get to the theatre in time..
I told the restaurant in advance we were bringing a 2 year old and would need a high chair. The waiter was very attentive and food was good.
Food and service was excellent. 5* However being Fathers day the restaurant was full and my friend and I were sat on a very, very small table that looked like it had been squeezed in the corner, which had barely enough room to get everything on for breakfast.
This booking was made as we were intending to go to Royal Windsor Racecourse afterwards and it was the perfect start to a great day out. The food, ambience, drinks and service are always good and it is a bonus to be able to sit out on the terrace overlooking the River Thames and Windsor Castle.
Lovely food, lovely view, lovely service, but oh dear, the noise!
We came to Cote Windsor before heading off to Royal Windsor Racecourse for the late aftenoon and evening as we can always rely on good food, drink and service here. The set menus are very reasonably priced and the location on the river is wonderful. Treat yourself!
It was lovely to spend a sunny afternoon overlooking the river Thames opposite Windsor Castle being served a delicious lunch and kir royale by attentive servers in such a lovely environment and for such a reasonable cost. This is one of my favourite restaurants.
