The croque madame was soggy and undercooked. The full english breakfast was good as usual.
Came to celebrate my friends birthday and we had fabulous service and meal , couldn’t have picked a better place , thank you
Another great evening at Cote. First time at Windsor location but very good. Restaurant was very busy as you would expect of a summer Saturday. There was a table of 4 of us and were sat near a large party of ladies. We asked to be moved and they couldn’t have been more helpful and found us a table for 4 overlooking the river. Food drinks and service was excellent as it always is at Cote.
had to wait a little but they were very busy we had booked got a great table right by river food and service were great
Nice atmosphere for was good....... A few mistakes but these were fixed quickly
Steak a little tough. Salad not well presented. Haddock excellent. Stalky vegetables tough.
A most pleasant meal with very good service. A very good experience
Lovely meal relaxed atmosphere requested a table overlooking the river it was perfect. Thank you
We were shown to our table and then had to wait 20 minutes before a waiter came to take our order. Between that time we tried to order with a waitress but were told to wait as someone would come over. Our food was average, I had the eggs Benedict and the poached eggs were hard boiled and not runny as you would expect and the hollandaise sauce was bland. My partner had the french toast but he said the bread was too thin and not as brioche like as French toast should be so was therefore soggy. It felt like we were ignored and the staff didn’t care for us to be there. The setting and scenery was great so it’s a real shame the service and food doesn’t live up to its surroundings.
Excellent service from Lucy Lou - fab food - fab location and perfect table location as requested. Amazing - we’ll be back x
Came here with a group of 10 for my birthday celebrations, lovely meal, great staff, picturesque view.
Excellent breakfast, great location, management are visible throughout the day
This is the first time we have eaten at Windsor as we normally eat at Hayes’s Gallery. The service and the food was on par
Overall we always enjoy coming to Cote - the Eton location is very attractive and the food is always well-cooked and tasty. Although this was also the case for our visit yesterday, the automatic addition of a service charge was disappointing. The restaurant was busy and we only saw our waitress to take our order for two courses, deliver the food and then take payment. The charge for this "service" was almost £12. Although the service was adequate, it was only adequate and is, after all, the job she is employed to carry out. We would have preferred to make our own mind up as to any additional tip for the service on a case-by-case basis. We know this is common practice but it doesn't make it the right thing to do and something we will bear in mind for future.
We had an absolutely delicious time we were celebrating my daughter’s 28th birthday all the food was delightful and service sublime. Well don to the team.
Nice food and lovely location. Staff were friendly and dealt with our issues quickly.
Appetizers and starters served together. Starters, desserts and side dishes were a bit expensive.
Nice setting on the river. Very quick service and good was nice.
Nice food good service Booked for nine people and given lovely river view
Great venue for views over the Thames. Friendly staff - perfect location.
Great window table on a very warm evening over looking the castle. Perfect!
Lovely restaurant with views across Thames to Windsor Castle. Food excellent
Great food but the service was incredibly slow. It was probably down to the great weather but they should have been better staffed.
Steak was very tough (in fact uneatable). Otherwise everything very good.
Was worth the wait! Service was very slow but it was worth it for sure. Food was lovely
Staff were nice but really long wait for food which was then overlooked and dry.
Food was lovely, service was a little slow but overall a good breakfast out
Absolutely fantastic meal, brilliant attentive staff and beautiful surroundings. We sat outside by the river all evening and it was simply stunning. We’ll definitely be back!
Lovely restaurant great view and good . Great vfm set menus
Just wonderful. What a beautiful Cote. The views were amazing as was the food!
The food was lovely when it came but we asked for a refill of water and after 30 minutes had to remind the waiter again. It didn't seem especially busy but we had to wait a long time to get our main course.
Foods there rarely disappoint. All excellent. A nice gem. Highly recommended
Great set up and super friendly staff. The food portion is generous.
Went with family. Excellent children's menu. Tasty food and friendly service.
Went as a group. The service was efficient and food delicious.
We were seated outside and literally next to the river. It was a great atmosphere.
Lovely meal and we were able to sit on the terrace with our dog which was very nice. Our waiter was so nice - very attentive and friendly so the service was perfect! And a free cocktail each was the icing on the cake. We love the special offers and so now we’re regulars at Côte:) Thank you!
Our favourite restaurant for lunch with a fabulous veiw . The food -the service and location are all very good . We love the Prestige menu which has a good selection of classic dishes - something for everyone and good value .
We had a really delicious meal in a beautiful setting looking out over the river
We had a lovely meal in a scenic setting with a relaxed atmostphere!!
Fabulous, really enjoyed the food, views and ambiance highly recommended!
Congestion at the front desk on arrival left us waiting over 10 minutes to gain access to our table. Other guests became fractious- it was a bad start caused by the narrow passageway and only 1 member of staff able to greet and check booking. Our table area was very noisy and conversation became difficult. Meal was very nice and all staff most pleasant
We booked table for 5.when we arrived no front staff appeared for several minutes when finally arrived we had too wait a further10 mins for our table. Whilst my lunch was lovely 2 of my daughter with steak and fries advised their steaks were lukewarm. No one came to ask if the meal was OK. No one came and asked whether we would like more drinks. At end of meal we advised that no tip was being left as per above reasons there was no apologie just a shrug of his shoulders
We were delighted with the lovely food, prompt service and attention our group received during our visit on 25th June. It was well worth liaising with Eoin over the menus in advance to ensure there were no delays or confusion about who had ordered what! The setting is beautiful, and several stayed on to drink coffee - just watching the river and life go by! Disabled access was essential for a group like ours, and was easy for wheelchairs down the side of the building. Thanks so much. It all made a great day out!
Kept waiting for 35 mins for our table, then they wanted to put us on a table near an open window with a gale blowing through it.Got a good table after a 45 min.wait
Lovely meal in excellent location. The service was great.
I came many years ago and was less than impressed. Gave it another go, but can’t say it has changed much. Placed in what I would call the back room, a type of waiting area wasn’t much fun. Food was average and the chicken was dry. Service was also average to be honest
Delicious food, charming staff , great river views , enjoyed it
What a lovely welcome, we have enjoyed various Cote Restaurants many times, so we decided to celebrate our daughters 17th birthday in Windsor and it really was “top notch service” from the minute we were shown our requested 7 seater table over looking the Thames and Castle. The staff are very attentive and we had a wonderful waitress who kept all of us very comfortable throughout. Thanks and we will be back soon. Mark and Amanda
Booked for four people on Friday21st June at Cotes Windsor with our Australian relations, prior to a visit to Windsor Theatre. I asked for a quiet table when booking and we were give a very nice table overlooking the castle (Australians were thrilled!) on the entrance level floor. We chose from the Prestige set menu and for starters had 2 x mussels,(excellent) one pate and one calamari . For mains, Risotto, cod wrapped in bacon and 2 x spaghetti with sea food. All very good, except calamari which were coated in breadcrumbs and were slightly overcooked. Two bottles of excellent white wine. Our waitress Lucy Loo was first class, a charming young Irish lady who is an asset to Cotes, it was a pleasure to be served by her. Our last visit to Cotes was rather disappointing, mediocre food and off hand service but thought we would give them another chance and they have redeemed themselves on this occasion. An excellent start to a theatre visit.
