Côte Windsor Restaurant

Service OK. Food OK. Lovely setting. Mustard got spilt on floor and had to prompt to get cleared. Tap in ladies toilet broken. Goodness knows how many gallons of water had been wasted!!

The hostess was ill-organised, unable to work under pressure and kept repeating the restaurant was busy. We came 15 minutes earlier then our appointment and hostess asked us to sit in waiting area. Then she forgot about us and when I went up to her 3 minutes prior to my actual reservation started asking for all my details again. Then hostess explained that delay in assigning table was because I did not say whether I wanted indoors or not. When I clarified it’s the first time you gave me the option and why now after I was in the restaurant already 12 minutes then she became defensive. Another host intervened and he was also very rude. In summary food and service was good, but request Cote Mgt. to look into training of their staff.

I’ve been coming many years unfortunately this time it was the worst service I’ve ever experienced in this restaurant we bought 2 8 year-old children and had to wait nearly an hour for a meal, we was told that there was a 25 minute wait from sit down to starter but it happens to be 25 minutes sit down to take the order for the starter and the food was very small portions considering I frequent this restaurant usually twice a week. I would say the main was the same size as a starter very very disappointed for a top of the range restaurant with top of the range prices .

We were early for our lunch but that was ok.gave a lovely table overlooking the river. Service was v good. Apologies for not finding ot the name of the lovely lady who looked after us. She was efficient, friendly and interacted so well with my friend's four year old son.he was v pleased. This wad or 2nd visit and we will be back for sure. Love your food, location n service .oops forgot the best bit, a lovely bottle of complimentary wine 😁😁 SJC

Overall was good, steak was more medium well rather than medium rare. The creamed spinach was quite watery. The service was very good!

My young daughter and I booked lunch together as a treat, we had a lovely South African waiter who was kind and attentive, we had an elderly lady sat next to us alone, I made a point of chatting to her as she said she was dining alone. Our waiter (I’m sad I didn’t catch his name) was kind and attentive to our 80 something neighbour as he was to all his customers, she said what a delight it was to experience such service. Hats off to you kind sir. My 10year Old ploughed through 3 courses finishing with a chocolate fondant, her very fav pudding at Cote, both of us had very delicious food as always. Well done Cote Eton

Good service, good food and a great setting on a summers evening.

Another delightful evening in Windsor. Pleased that we booked a reservation because as we arrived there was a line of people trying to get tables that were not successful. We had a brilliant tale with the most wonderful views of Windsor Castle in the distance and the Thames River just outside the restaurant. The new July menu as plenty of new dishes to order and many of our usual favourites. I tried the new veal steak served over mash, peas, fresh tomatoes and artichokes. It was amazing. Overall with drinks and food it was an excellent evening and great value. Thomas our waiter was excellent!

Pleased that we made a reservation as the restaurant was exceptionally busy. Long queue outside waiting to come so just breezed past the line and got seated right away. The staff was most attentive and as we are regular customers they were very welcoming to us. Alberto and then Thomas looked after us exceptionally well. The July menu offered up some new treats and the wines are always first class. During the busy summertime​ remember to make a reservation otherwise you will be disappointed and get turned away.

Food was divine. Location overlooking the river was beautiful. Staff were great.

Excellent service during a busy dinner time. Unfortunately the ribeye steak wasn’t available, but the food we did have was very good. Very attentive staff.

Good service, fine location outside in a sunny day. Enjoyed my apple and Roquefort starter, will have it again. Haddock fishcake delicious but not a lot on my plate. The 11.95 menu is excellent value

Great atmosphere and lovely staff with a nice view of the river!

Food was not as good as usual! Staff attentive and polite ! However there was a big party of at least 20 that made a huge noise and most of them stood up and drank an was very annoying as they stood over table when we were trying to enjoy our meal , the staff did nothing to control it. The staff had difficulties to do their work and serve other guests . We have been coming to your restaurant for years and this is the worst evening we have spent there. 03.07 table booked for 7pm.

A busy day so service a bit slow but other than that excellent experience.

Excellent service, food and views! We had the moules frites and a tuna Niçoise salad served with this months special cocktail gin and st germain followed by the special pavlova served with bubbles ... book a table outside by the river and enjoy x

Dinner with a view! Table wasn’t quite ready so we were given a complimentary Kia royale each while we waited which wasn’t that long at all. But what a gorgeous view we had and a lovely meal. Service was a little slow but the restaurant was very busy and it was not a problem at all. The mussels were delicious 😋

Lovely evening by the Thames with my 93 yr old Mum, my sisters and our husbands. Couldn’t book the June cocktail offer but the July Offer came out that afternoon and the restaurant honoured it as long as we ordered from the a la carte menu. Have been to several Cote Brasserie restaurants and always have a good meal with good service

The food was excellent. The atmosphere on the terrace at your Windsor/ Eton Cote was peaceful and beautiful on a sunny afternoon. The food was tasty and the bread delicious. Our only niggles were that we had to remind the waiter twice to bring us bread with our starters and that our bottle of Sauvignon Blanc was warm when served. ! We had to ask for lots if ice and wait 30 minutes until sufficiently cool to do justice to its taste.

We enjoyed a lovely evening at Cote in Windsor to celebrate our parents 60th Wedding Anniversary. The food was lovely and our waitress was very attentive.

Another visit without being disappointed. Guaranteed having a delightful meal overlooking the Thames. Quality of food and service exceptional. Although we are local, we were treated as being on holiday. Thanks again.

The staff were great but very run off their feet The risotto I had was absolutely tasteless I had to season it with salt pepper and Parmesan and even then it tasted like it was made in a School cookery class !! V disappointed I didn’t raise a fuss as I was with a long standing client from NYC who enjoyed the catchup more than her food

I booked a meal for a large group of people for a work event recently in Windsor. I have eaten at other Cote locations before and always been really happy with the food and service. However, I was really disappointed with the service. I know the restaurant was busy but it took ages to even be given the drinks menu and we were a pre-booked party so more staff should have been available or less bookings made. We had to ask more than a few times for extra cutlery and we were given desserts spoons for soup! I commented on this and was told they didn't have soup spoons. It was just generally poor and there was a real lack of attention. The food was ok but nothing special. I would not book again I'm afraid.

Not a busy service as it was brunch, but had to wait for attention. Poached eggs were hard boiled. Toast was cold and sourdough was not toasted. Had to ask for our orange juice.

Service was good and our starters arrived quickly , but our main course took a while to arrive. My son ordered a medium rare rib eye steak and it arrived medium to well done and my Bretton chicken was fairly dry. We usually visit the Reading branch and have never had a complaint to make, even during busy times.

Fantastic location. We asked to move tables due to a noisy group and were moved without fuss to a lovely table overlooking the river. Food drinks and service excellent as it always is at Cote.
