We are regular diners at the Cote in Windsor. I had made a booking for 4 adults to have breakfast and told the restaurant it was my daughter's birthday celebration. When we arrived, they made no acknowledgement of this. We ordered our breakfasts and only three arrived out of four orders, in addition the bread was not provided with the breakfast and we were not offered condiments. The food was warm not hot. To make matters worse another table next to us experienced similar treatment. This is not what we expect from Cote. Staff serving did not appear to care. We raised our concerns, received a verbal apology and were not charged the service charge. This is not good enough.

The food was excellent as usual. The staff were very attentive especially the young waiter I'm sorry I never noticed his name (he originated from S Africa ) very friendly took time to interact with us. Long may this continue as this is the place we bring all our visitors

Food very good , a minor blip with service as the main course for one of our party did not arrive for some time. However the staff rapidly responded with offer to adjust the bill. All round enjoyable family lunch.

The overall experience was very good. Good service from friendly staff, good atmosphere, nice and clean, tasty and good sized mains. Dessert was a letdown, pavlova was in reality an Eton mess with Split cream. Looked and tasted awful. The lemon tart must have been a ready made, bought in stuff. The tart shell was soggy and the lemon fikling was gluey. Chocolate mousse was tasty and correct though.
