Having dined at Cote Windsor a lot in the past. The service was always hit and miss. But the service I had this time around was fantastic and an overall great dining experience. When an issue was raised it was dealt with immediately and staff went above and beyond to ensure we remained happy.

When we arrived some inconsiderate diners were still at our table and the staff had to accept the situation. When we were finally seated the staff pulled out all the stops and gave us first class service which was very much appreciated.

Simple things done well, served promptly, perfect end to a disrupted day. Ended up in Cote Windsor because trains could not get out of Waterloo to our home in Bracknell. Great sanctuary and recovery! Thank you....

We enjoyed the food and would definitely eat at Cote again. However, I found it difficult to get a cool table as per my request. We know that Cote, Windsor has been refurbished. However, we were disappointed with the toilets yet again. They are clean, but there are only two cubicles and I had to wait on a Monday at 2.30 pm in October. At busy times the wait is much longer. There should be more for a restaurant of the size of the Cote in Windsor. Also it is difficult to access the toilets which are down two flights of stairs. Why hasn't Cote in Windsor been made more accessible for disabled people? We assumed that this would be a priority for the refurbishment.

Lovely evening. Staff very attentive and brilliant place downstairs. Sadly two meals out of four were just warm and had to be returned to the kitchen. After a long wait they were not really very much better. So Cotes got that a bit wrong. Its really poor when 2 people are eating their meal and 2 are sitting watching. It is extremely important that all meals arrive together and are hot, hence why Cotes did not get a 6 star rating on this occasion.

The restaurant itself is really nice and in a beautiful location. Service can be a bit slow at busy times. The food however is not up to standards: I ordered a french soup and spinach crepes, both were served extremely hot, had to make an effort to eat it. The crepes especially, were very salty, dipped into the sauce to the extent they’d completely lost their form - it took me 20’ to eat half of the plate due to how pipping hot it was. Chocolate suffle on the other hand was served in medium temperature (both the icecream and the chocolate!)

Very good experience, staff and food were excellent, the ambiance was a little noisy, but we put that down to being in a high roof conservatory type building.

First time as a larger party, overall very good although not as good as when we have previously visited as parties of 2, 4 or 6. Most dishes prepared ok but a couple of blips, one duck undercooked and one pate not up to standard, although to be fair they did not charge for the pate. Service quite good, but our server seemed over utilised so overall not as attentive as our previous experiences. Would not take much to get to overall of 6 stars, but on this occasion must give 5. We still like Cote and think it is one of the best places to eat in Windsor so will continue to visit regularly.

Ok , very average food. Too many children . It’s such a beautiful setting and beautiful building, what a shame it’s so ordinary? Front of house tried her best to give us a nice table (for2) At first we were squashed in a corner , I was sitting next to 3or 4 pushchairs .! We had booked on line 2 weeks before , it was a big celebration for us . And a big disappointment at first ! We were given a window table after a while , which was lovely. Service was nothing special , but ok . We found the restaurant too brightly lit. Just a very ordinary place , such a shame . As it’s a very special setting .would not return. My husband enjoyed the White House wine .

I don’t ever get a chance nor the will to review places I’ve been to unless it was outstanding, well this place had been so good to us way to many times to go unnoticed! Absolutely everything on the menu is delicious, tried most of the dishes and swapping around with my husband we can say we’ve tasted it all over two years we’ve going to this cosy place- it’s worth every £ The atmosphere is great, the food is fantastic and staff are so good and pay attention to all the smallest details. Definitely recommend whether it’s a family dinner, a quick catch up with friends or a romantic date-they know that they’re doing and cooking Thank you for a warm welcome yet again and see you soon

We had a delightful lunch where the service and food were spot on. When Cote is on point it is one of our favourite restaurants it can be hit and miss but on Monday it was a Hit with us.

As usual the food was excellent, and the service was efficient and prompt, but the noise level was too high for ordinary conversation to take place. Large groups should be advised not to shout.

We both thought the early evening menu looked good and ok value. The waiter was pleasant and helpful. The timing of the service was perfect for us, It allowed us to enjoy food and conversation without being hurried it not to the point of wondering what had happened to our order. All food was tasty we both had the pate dish for starters, sea bream and beef for mains, and the chocolate dessert and creme caramel for dessert. All were good. I particularly enjoyed the creme caramel it was way above the typical supermarket stuff - it was beautifully creamy. The only aspect where a tiny point might be dropped was that my partner and I had the same pate starter. One came with two pieces of toast the other with three. Obviously that’s not quite right, but it didn’t worry us at all so didn’t even mention it, service, food, value and ambience were all good. We look forward to coming again. Well deserved full marks,
