Côte Windsor Restaurant

Serving size for both starter and main was a little on the small side

as always meal was very good and excellent value. But had to wait nearly 30 minutes from being servec starter to delivery of main course and had to leave with no time for a desset. Pity.

We enjoyed our lunch but 2 said their main course the French cottage pie could have been hotter. Presentation was good and helpful staff.

The meal was hot and tasty served by very friendly staff and manager in spite of the restaurant being very busy. Attentive but not intrusive.

First time to Cote windsor. Having a new year meal with friends. Food and wine choices were excellent and well presented. We may have overstayed our welcome but staff didn’t make us feel uncomfortable. A very good evening.

From entering to leaving the whole experience was great as usual.

The staff were friendly, but the restaurant was cold. I had to ask for heating to be put on. Which seems odd in January. The food was tasty but cooked quickly because of the room temperature.

People friendly but service slow. Tables are tiny and inadequate unless just 2 of you. Food was cold. Quality ok but not impressed. Will not return.

Food and staff both excellent, the only thing that spoilt the evening was the serious draught problems coming through the ill fitting windows. It was a particularly windy night and the staff did their level best to alleviate the matter, but it appears the whole of the upper level windows need some professional attention. Being in the conservatory by a window it was rather uncomfortable.

I have to say that in my view the Windsor Cote is the best of those I have visited. Food is great and a lovely setting. Service was ok - some of the staff were warm, whilst others were merely "functional" but overall not something that took away from the overall experience. The food was excellent and the overall value for money was great when you consider drinks on top. When booking I asked for a table with a river view and was absolutely delighted to be given a really great spot in the main eating area. The only real criticism that I have is that the eating area by way of design is very loud when busy. I am not sure that there is much Cote can do about this as its down to basic design and acoustics - but if you want a more intimate meal - perhaps upstairs is better. To be fair, it did quieten down as the evening drew on. Overall I can throughly recommend this branch of Cote - never had a bad meal here and always ultimately enjoyed it and in my view represents really good value for money in an awesome setting!

A busy brunch morning for Cote in windsor. Arrived to be seated at our reserved table for 7 , table was dirty so had to ask for it to be cleaned. Kitchen was busy so every time we ordered something we were told the kitchen was busy and we would have to wait 10 minutes. Ordered Eggs florentine/avocado, expecting avocado and spinach but it was served with only spinach, we thought this was a misleading title so should have been explained. Extra teas and coffees ordered at the same time, teas came about 10 minutes later.

We were disappointed with the duck. We felt the quality of meat was not good - it lacked flavour, and was quite chewy and difficult to cut.

Fantastic service duck was great but please don’t serve lamb with Roquefort butter it doesn’t work with Lamb positive criticism 👍🏻

We had a really lovely meal with our friends this evening at Cotes,Windsor. We chose the set menu and, as always, the food was excellent. The waiter, who didn’t have a name badge was courteous and efficient. We frequently use this restaurant and have never had a bad experience. The setting is lovely overlooking the river and all the staff are lovely. Can’t wait until we visit again.

Well suited to an eightfold family gathering lunch on a winters day early in the New Year : pleasing location and facilities, service and menu variety. Very pleasant staff.

Our guests were delayed at Heathrow and the staff at Côte were really accommodating, coping with our hour-long wait and then producing the food once we had all met and were ready.

Considering we were a large group (15) the service was exceptional. The food as always was great. All in all an enjoyable experience.

Went to Cote for brunch with the bestie and was super! Good quality food, served piping hot. Service was faultless, attentive waiter and food allergy order taken by management. Côte is one of the few restaurants locally who offer a comprehensive GF menu of which we have complete confidence in. Restaurant was spotless, table by the window on the river overlooking the Castle. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a lovely time. Thank you so much!

After the lack of communication of response from the central reservations team, I was extremely concerned about holding today’s lunch at cote. However the service received once at the restaurant exceeded all expectations. A huge thank you to Owen and his team. Amazing.
