Food wonderful...but Service a bit slow...not enough staff. Creme Brulee fantastic. Lovely to sit and watch the river. Had a lovely catch up with an old friend
wife birthday booked 2 week in advance for river view table got the only table facing a wall. will not go back, thank god for wokingham Cote
The staff were very professional and helpful, we found it a friendly atmosphere and would recommend.
Fantastic location and very well looked after by staff. Set menu exceptional value and delivered very swiftly. Was good for a working lunch. Many thanks indeed
Lovely setting great table overlooking the river pleasant efficient waiting staff clean and tidy
Good food good atmospheres all in all another pleasant lunch. Good fixed menu very reasonable price will be back again. Regular and consistent quality thanks
It was really lovely food. Very welcoming staff. Was on my own but they made me feel like a princess. Thank you so much to all
Group birthday celebration with coffee. This is a regular if infrequent occurrence and Cote staff are always very accommodating and friendly.
There was an unfortunate understanding about complimentary drinks: the waiter was not English and perhaps did not know, but we had theatre tickets (a complimentary kier). And the special comp with the menu was a sickeningly sweet rhubarb drink, which we chose to try. At the time of settling the bill we were informed we could only have one ‘comp drink’ - if that had been made clear at the start we would not have had the rhubarb drink, which to both of us was pretty awful. Shame, we go to Cote a lot and if the menu never changes and the staff do not know ‘the rules’ it may be worth trying something more amenable. The cheese platter for £6 was really rather stingy: 10 small grapes and three small pieces of uninteresting cheese. The pork belly was delicious.
I always enjoy meals at the Cote; in Dorchester, Bournemouth and Windsor. My only criticism is that you don't change the menu often enough.I look forward to Easter when I presume there will be Lamb on the menu.
Excellent as always! Lovely lunch Enjoyable wine My son’s company is priceless
Lovely setting overlooking the river and Windsor castle. Excellent French food accompanied with delightful service.
The duck confir was overcoked and dry and should have been served with red cabbage rather than white. my friend's food was nice. The service was excellent.
Overall great breakfast . Knocking 1 star off service score as I did ask for no mushrooms / extra bacon but somehow that message got lost as plate arrived with mushrooms. Atmosphere great , will return .
The food was good and the service was friendly and attentive. Location is excellent.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening on saturday. We waited in the narrow entrance while a table for 6 was prepared . This took about 5 minutes . This entrance/ exit to the restaurant could do with some improvement as guests arriving and departing have a real job squeezing through . We had a lovely table overlooking the thames . Food was delightful and hot although my mussels were tiny in their big shells . We were pleased with the waiter service . Its our 5th visit to Cotes and would thoroughly recommend the restaurant to family and friends . Steve Salt
The quality of the food was not as good as on other occasions. Both the Boeuf Bourguinon and the Duck Breast were a little dry, as if they had been reheated for too long, or even microwaved! But not sufficiently unsatisfactory to send back. Actually we were not asked if the meal was okay, which is unusual. Otherwise the service was quite good and justified the 12.5% included tip (a practice I dislike).
Good food. Quite busy so service not as quick as normal but we were in next rush as it was a fab day and we were seated outside. A lovely lunch. 😁👍
Your meet and greet manager so welcoming. Beautiful Irish accent and just a lovely demeanour and as we've visited twice this year always the same welcome.
Lovely setting and food was tasty and hot but service was lacking - had to wait too long for the table despite having a booking and then ages for the food to come. We had brought guests from abroad so felt uncomfortable making them wait so long. The waiters were polite and attentive once we were served
Very nice location downstairs where it was somewhat quieter. Excellent food and good service. Next time we are passing it will be in a canoe doing the Witney to Westminster marathon on May 14th. Tricky to drop i in that day.
Was not a good experience. Booked, sat and waited to be served, had to go and find someone. Ordered, wrong breakfasts arrived for both myself and my son. Asked for bill and that was wrong too therefore did not leave a tip!! Regularly visit Cote Windsor and Marlow and this was dreadful. My son had to leave before me as had to catch a train. Very disappointing
Lovely restaurant and good service but very disappointed with cleanliness standards! My coffee cup had old lipstick marks on, the water glasses smelt like egg and the milk jug had a small bit of spinach floating in it! The food was alright I had a vegetarian breakfast, the poached eggs are very disappointing! I didn’t say anything when I was at the restaurant as I didn’t want to ruin the mood whilst I was with my friend but I was very disappointed! The restaurant and staff are lovely though.
Poor service, one of the meals was missing (starters and main). Food was good though and very apologetic waiting staff after missing starters, to then follow up with missing main was a little toomuch
Breakfast on Father's Day! Service was really poor, staff were just not prepared for the number of bookings. Food was served Luke warm and had to ask repeatedly for toast that accompanied the breakfast. Bill, when presented, was incorrect and had to be challenged and corrected. We were so disappointed. I visit the restaurant often and this is the first time that I have deducted the service charge
Great food. The place is nicely located, a little bit noisy though. Friendly staff. Moderately priced, good value for money. Will be going there again for sure.
Fab meal as always, friendly staff . The non serving staff had inappropriate clothing in my view. They should dress professional and not in short mini skirts and low tops. Change the dress code .
Amazing Birthday dinner! Thank you so much to all the team at Windsor :-)
As usual from the minute we entered to the minute we left everything was great. I had a beautiful Fillet Steak cooked to perfection and succulent my wife enjoyed the Lamb Rump. For desert we both had the March Special of Crepe Grand Marnier which was fantastic and is my favourite desert. The staff are always very welcoming and attentive and look after our every need. Oh and we really enjoyed your special Gin and tonic and some lovely Merlot wine. All in all a great experience and we will see you again soon. Cheers.
Delicious food. Prompt, friendly, helpful service. We were sat by a window with a lovely view over the river, Windsor and the castle. A very pleasant experience.
Great food and service with lovely atmosphere . The smoked salmon starter was delicious as was the chicken Breton
Lovely food, friendly staff and good service until after our main course. Unfortunately then it seemed we were forgotten about as we waited over half an hour before we could ask to see the dessert menu. It then took a while before we were able to ask for the bill. It was only when I got home and checked my receipt that I noticed a 12% gratuity had been added. I accept that I should have read the bill more closely, however I do feel this should have been pointed out by staff, as it is in other restaurants. I do not feel the service we received merited a 12% tip.
I have been to Cote Windsor on several occasions and it is always a pleasant experience with good service and great food. On this occasion however the food was even better than usual. A great experience and a lovely cocktail to boot!
Lovely venue good food but it was pretty noisy--- there are no soft furnishings to absorb the noise. It was Fathers day however so virtually full to capacity
The visit was ok, it took a little longer than normal to be served. Breakfast was lovley. I'm afraid the one negative on this occasion, was the cutlery and glasses were not as clean as they normally are, which put me off a little this time.
Service was very slow in comparison to our many previous visits. In mitigation, the food was very good.
Thoroughly professional team, good food, very clean premises. Just a super experience start to finish. Thank you
We had a great time, waited a little while for drinks. However overall good experience. Steak was a little over cooked for "medium" The mussels and Smoke Salmon were very tasty.
Good food , good place , good service . Would always go back
Perfectly cooked French cuisine with ample portions. Ambiance great with good space between tables. Service was very good considering the restaurant was full up. A great meal. Thanks.
We waited a long time to be served. In restaurant for over 2 hours for lunch. Was suppose to get free cocktail with reservation May special but had to pay as the cocktails were on the bill
My wife and i had a delicious meal with excellent service...recommend the rump of lamb and duck breast looking forward to returning soon as possible especially with a table overlooking the river.
Friendly efficient service, delicious lunch. Throughly enjoyed the complimentary rhubarb martini, thank you
Superb location, friendly and attentive staff. Great food and menu selections. Very good value for money. We all enjoyed the relaxed environment during our lunch.
Always excellent food and service. Cote Windsor never fails. They were very busy for Mother’s Day, and yet our food was delicious and no extra waiting time.
Me and my friends had such a lovely time! It was my birthday meal and we were given a glass of pink prosecco each for free! Our table was overlooking the river and was stunning, we all loved the food and the waiters were very nice and attentive
The food was lovely but was not happy with having to wait till 230 for my table as I had booked it for 2pm a week earlier for my partner birthday as I said the food was lovely
Good food, very pleasant ambience but service a little slow. Good value.
Lovely food, the lunch menu is excellent value. Staff very nice
We had a table overlooking the Thames with a view to the castle which was lovely. The food was very good and the waitress very attentive. Loved this place and would definitely come back again ! Best Wishes Diane Hofer
