Disappointing service and also choices from set menu were not available, we should be told in advance! Attitude from the waiter was not particularly helpful.
It was great service by the waiting staff but food very slow to arrive and not the best quality. Restaurant in a great location though.
Lovely venue but unfortunately the waitress was hopeless - she kept saying she was new. We were a party of eight and she totally forgot one of the main courses which meant one person was eating after everybody else - it was only a salad but once we told her the meal had been forgotten she made no effort to hurry it along or apologise. Shame because everything else was really good.
Windsor Cote Brasserie provides the same high standard food as others in the Company. It has one big advantage and that is its location on the banks of the Thames looking across at Windsor Castle. Location therefore perfect, staff excellent.
Poor service and very slow! Staff were extremely dull and slow. We were asked if we had finished our meal to which we replied yes, at this point expecting our plates etc to be taken away. Instead the waiter ignored us and walked away. We waited 45 mins until our drinks/ starters orders were taken. A shambles! Visited for a birthday and can safely say it put a damper on the day!
Staff were extremely friendly. Food great as usual. Everyone in restaurant sang Happy Birthday to my father as well. Very enjoyable and a memorable way to celebrate his 80th.
they were very busy and it was very noisy, food was excellent. Waiter forgot the bread and olives but was very apologetic and they were then complimentary so tried to rectify which was great
Great food, lovely staff, beautiful location - only thing that needs attention are the very small, cramped & inaccessible toilets. Good luck finding a solution.
Excellent location and very good food - a thoroughly enjoyable Saturday evening family meal. Friendly staff really helped the evening go well and definitely recommended.
Food and service very good. Had to ask for doors to be closed when wind got a bit much, reluctantly they did. Would go back.
We visit Cote Brasserie - Windsor quite often and to be honest this visit was slightly below average. Staff not particularly attentive, long waiting for food, wrong meals served. Food itself was fine.
Great service and wonderful food ,altogether a very pleasant evening. A group of 4 of us all said that we would definitely visit again as soon as we can .
One of the staff didn't seem very happy and had an unpleasant attitude. Quite unusual as I'm always very happy with the service. Hope it's a one off experience.
We had the lunchtime menu, which had a good selections of choices and lunchtime sized portions. It was good value for the food we received. Thank you.
Excellent in every way, from the ambiance, service, quality of food and price. A luverly way to spend lunchtime in this beautiful town. It's a must.
Service not great... Was very busy as usual. The front of house told us he would check if breakfast was still being served even though it was before 1pm. waited for ten minutes but had not returned to tell us anything..in th end had to ask not one but two other members of staff if I can order....
Fabulous I will be back great service lovely waiter. Beautiful sunny day so conservatory setting in river was perfect. Had 3 courses, never do that!
Absolutely lovely meal, choices are excellent value, service is great and the place stunning. Great meal. It was a birthday celebration and we started with a kir royals. Good value wines as well. Love the place.
Very good location excellent quality of food, nice atmosphere and good value for money friendly helpful staff, left feeling satisfied would recommend the Cote Brasserie to friends and family
Was ok just some meals were not available. Vitrese was really helpful and did everything to smooth things . All staff really nice and friendly at the restaurant.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was absolutely beautiful. My vist was on a Sunday night at 7pm and my food came out incedibly fast, with in just minutes of ordering. The half chick with mushroom sauce that I ordered was perfectly seasoned and juicy. Would definitely recommend this restusrant for a good date night or get together with old friends.
Table for 8 was booked. Starters and desert were nice. Steak mains were COLD!....salmon main was not enjoyed. Service was good. Deserts were given free. So disappointing...a fabulous location but I could not recommend to anybody.
Food was delicious, perfect location, friendly staff if a little slow on service. Only reason the score isn't perfect is because the toilets needed a good scrub.
Great food and service. Fablous location. Highly recommend. Good choice on both food and drinks menu. Very nice atmosphere and ambiance. Suitable for all occasions.
Fabulous breakfast and service as always, I would highly recommend Cotes for breakfast, Thank you! A wonderful way to start your day, go and try it
Table wasn't ready at 2 pm and the wrong order was brought out for my companion so we had to eat our meals separately. Not the best experience today.
Our breakfast was lovely and the atmosphere was great. We had to ask twice for the bill and it took ages to come. Service was ok.
Eggs benedict tasted like cinnamon which I've not come across before. Female staff were friendly but our male waiter was very unfriendly and unhelpful which is a shame. Tip added to the bill when only three of us dined.
Excellent location and good service. We went for a pre- theatre meal which had a varied menu and was very reasonably priced. Conveniently situated for Windsor Royal threate.
Such a lovely location and we managed to get a river view JUST. It was out anniversary and we therefore wanted it to be extra special - We did ask for a river view via our booking and were lucky they had one left as this had not been reserved for us. The food was good although my husbands steak was over cooked. He requested rare and it came medium- well done. Service was good. It had a good atmosphere and was very busy x
The noise levels were too high at times staff very helpful food good.enjoyed the meal.our waiter was friendly and efficient good inter action will comeagain
was able to book easily on line and Cote honoured my request of a table outside, House wine was very good, Staff very helpful even going back to the chef on a couple of occasions to see if he could accommodate our requests (which he could). Ate from the lunch menu, food was excellent, plenty and very reasonably priced. would definitely eat there again
Probably the best location for a Côte anywhere in the country. You can watch the world and the Thames go by whilst enjoying excellent food and service.
Large beautifully located restaurant on the banks of the Thames by Eton Bridge. Food and service was excellent and the waiting staff worked very hard. Our evening was slightly spoilt however, by two groups of diners, either side of us, with exceptionally loud voices. This wouldn't normally be an issue, but we were situated in an area with walls either side of us and the sound echoed around. I'm sure elsewhere in the restaurant, this wouldn't be a problem. Would not stop me from returning though.
Fab meal and fab service. The eggs were cooked to perfection and all piping hot. The coffee was also really hot which was a bonus.
Can't fault the service and the food was great aside from the grapes and green beans which were past their best- I wouldn't have served them
Lovely setting overlooking the river. Very friendly staff and good service . Food good value and very tasty. All added up to a very enjoyable lunch.
Good quality food in a quality location at a fantastic price. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff too. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.
The waiter who was a young Frenchman was charming and attentive despite the fact it was very busy Saturday evening. My Breton tomatoe salad was a special and was very good on a hot summer night. Finished the meal with half a Breton chicken and a bottle of house white. Very simple, well cooked and not too expensive. What is not too like.
Great location and service. Only let down is quality of French fries. Would go back tho. Fixed price menu is great value. A laCarte isn't.
Good food, well served, neither slow nor rushed. Very agreeable, as expected from Cote. Will certainly use the Eton branch again when we have overseas visitors.
Didn't like table offer as it was in middle of families and so choose another. Great views from dinning room across river towards castle. Food was good apart from asparagus that seemed to be deep fried, burnt and therefore ruined. Service was good and food came in a timely manner.
Had a good meal with a few friends from work, service at the start was a little slow however, it did improve over the night and food arrived quickly.
Good service, nicely presented food and good value. Lunch menu particularly good value and would have it again. Ambience boos with priceless view over River Thames.
Reasonable prices, Superb food (seemed fresh, not out of a packet), lovely views of the Thames and Windsor castle and great service! Thoroughly recommend this vote...
Great food service & location plus good value for money 100% recommend. Thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks
Cote always a favourite on my visits to Windsor. Is there a better setting for a restaurant - beside the Thames, shadowed by Windsor Castle - and excellent food at very reasonable prices. The staff could not have been more welcoming.
Easy to book, a great table, the menu was extensive, the food was delicious, and service throughout the evening was great. Definitely worth a visit if you happen to be in Windsor.
Very good experience. Nice table over looking river. Attentive waiter, but not too over the top. Delightful lunch. Food good. Good value. Good selection on lunchtime menu. Tricia Rich
Always an excellent dining experience at the Cote. Online booking system works well, professional service, interesting menu and superb location. What more could you ask for?
