We all enjoyed the meal . The service was excellent. The location, of course, is brilliant. One gripe: there is nowhere to put one's coat. All our coats were wet so there was a pile of wet coats next to my chair. This needs to be dealt with.
Although it was a busy Saturday, we were still given a window seat overlooking the Thames. The food was first class and service excellent. We come to Cote Windsor often and always enjoy it.
Everyone at restaurant was lovely. Nice table overlooking the river. It was my Birthday and we were generously given our coffees and one pudding on the house by the restaurant. Very nice touch and much appreciated. Will return. Thank you.
Very enjoyable experience, food and service was fantastic. Had the lunch time special menu, varied choice and was very good value. Cream Caramel best ever.
lovely setting, and really nice food, we would recommend this restaurant very pleasant staff i would definitely use again you need to book they get very busy.
Really good service. We were originally sat next to a large party so asked to move. This was accommodated. Not sure what would have happened if the restaurant was busier! Food great and waiter very attentive.
Very nice food and served hot (which is not often the case and sometimes not even tepid when sent back). Service polite and friendly. I will certainly be recommending.
Great food and friendly, fast service. Took our table of 10 in their stride. Beautiful setting too, just a shame too cold to enjoy the outside terrace.
Cote Windsor is located on the River Thames on the ETON side of and offers a beautiful view of river and Castle. The service is excellent and menu offers a good variiety. Good food at reasonable price
There is friendly staff, great location and good choice of sensibly priced food.Steak was delicious and the fish pie excellent. The house wine was very drinkable!
My husband and I had a lovely meal last Thursday, food was superb and the service wonderful. Made to feel very welcome. Have been here many times and have already booked our next meal with friends in a couple of weeks.
Consistently good level of service and good experience overall. The only disappointment was the waiter forgetting to serve the olives and bread that we had ordered but it was corrected once I reminded him.
Lovely as always, food was great, staff super friendly. Love going to Cotes Brasserie as always have an amazing time with amazing food. A ++++
Always worth a visit the standard is consistent at every visit
Food delicious, service excellent and executed with humour. The only downside was the noise. There was a very large family party on the next table with loud children!!! Do Cote have designated seating areas for families, large parties and small groups?
Our experience was very good the food was lovely and service was fantastic. We asked for a quiet table with a view of the river and this was just right thank you. Will be coming back next month.
Food was very good, service excellent, environment very amiable. Overall we had a very positive experience and will definitely be going back . The menu was varied enough and the bill at the end was reasonable.
Extremely slow service. Portions quite small. All food arrived at the same time however one meal was Luke warm. Due to the slow service we did not return the meal as we were concerned that we would have a long wait for the meal to be replaced. Would definitely not return to this restaurant in Windsor. Would definitel
Lovely location and great food and service. Our only disappointment was that you had run out of Coq au Vin on the specials menu, which seemed a bit of an oversight!
Lovely restaurant, very nice service and food always reliably good. Windsor restaurant has very nice views of the Thames and staff always try and seat you at a table with a good view.
We went as a table for two to be seated at 9.30. The restaurant was not busy and there appeared to be a reasonable number of staff waiting on in the part of the restaurant we were sat in. The service however was non existent. We were sat for 15 minutes and not one of the staff made eye contact to acknowledge us despite passing our table many times. In the end I had to shout down one of the waiters who simply told me that I wasn't at a table in his section. I told him to go and get the waiter that was serving my section. He disappeared and came back 5 minutes later and said the other waiter is busy. I then had to ask him fairly directly whether he could therefore take our order and get us some drinks given we had now been sat for 20 minutes. He got his pad out and took our order. I stress again the restaurant was not busy and there were more than enough staff to handle the covers in the room. There were just disorganised and not interested in serving there customers. Food was good and turned up fairly punctually once they had finally taken the order. When we had finished our main course we were again sat there with no-one bothering to clear our plates despite the waiters in the room running around generally flapping and being totally ineffective. We were not the only ones - another table close to us actually made a point of standing up and moving there own dirty plates onto a nearby empty set up table. Two more tables had to make complaints about the lack of service and one of these asked to speak to the manager as it was that bad. I couldn't be bothered to complain as I had decided we just wouldn't pay the service charge and go. Except we were still sat there after 20 minutes of finishing our main course waiting for the plates to be cleared. In the end I had to shout down a waiter and ask for them to be cleared. Then another 10 minute wait before we were offered a desert menu. I declined and asked for the bill. Waiter then seemed a little surprised when I told him to remove the service charge which is automatically added to the bill. Unreal that he was so unaware of his own shortcomings in service. This was simply the worst evening of service I had ever had in a restaurant. The management team need to ask some serious questions of themselves on the basis of this performance tonight.
I was not happy with my meal. I shared the rib eye steak meal for 2 with my husband. This consisted of a carved lump of steak, off the bone which was mainly fat and gristle. We were unable to complain as we had theatre tickets so our time in the restaurant was limited. The dish cost £37.50 between us so my portion of French fries was very expensive as I was unable to eat most of the meat
Great setting . Service quick as we were off to the theatre and food excellent. We will definitely go back when we are not on a hurry .
Fabulous location overlooking the river and Windsor castle. and good service. Cote menu is always fine. Can recommend Cote as a good place to eat
Tonight was excellent.....thank you ....the waiter service was excellent the food was lovely...great new menu...will be returning again very soon....once again thank you ....... ..
Friendly and efficient service, lovely view and ambience, food ok, wine very expensive and poor quality. Don’t like having 12.5% added for me, should be up to customers what tip they wish to give.
Excellent menu, good food, lovely environment and friendly, helpful staff. Would have bee a five but restaurant had no record of my free wine award.
We arrived at a good time, i.e. not too busy, and were given a table next to the window overlooking the Thames, as requested. The waiter was excellent, as was the food, but then it always is top quality. We'll be back when we're next in Windsor either to go to the Theatre or just to walk around.
I was there a Sunday Night the atmosphere was relaxing, the staff very professional and the food well made. I had a good time. Thanks
We had a lovely evening at the Windsor Cote Brasserie. The Food and Service were excellent and the price was perfectly adequate. We will be back.
it became busy so main course was a long wait and when it arrived it was obvious it had been under a heat lamp for too long and the salad garnish was warm and a skin had developed over the creamed potato. we did complain and were not charged for this. this was unusual for Cote where we usually have excellent service and food is always good. this experience would not therefore put us off a return visit
Unlike usual the service was very poor. The waiter was not helpful or attentive. Empty plates were left on the table for far too long. Staff at the front door weren't there to take out complaints at the end.
We had a very good meal with good service etc However, it was 10 minutes before we were offered a pre-meal drink We will return
Nice food, attentive service. Felt a little bit rushed, but it's a chain and they need to get the covers through I suppose. I would happily return but probably not for a romantic dinner.
Incredibly slow service, food as definately gone down hill, will not return. Waited 40 minutes to take order, soup luke warm, had to ask for change owed to us, embarrassing - just not the cote experience I've known previous
The set menu had plenty of choice and we ate a delicious ad economical lunch at a table overlooking the river Thames. What could be better? We particularly like Cote Brasserie as three members of the family (three generations) need to be gluten free, and we know no restaurant that does this better.
Eton Bridge is a lovely setting. The food and coffee was fine and the service very pleasant. The area we sat in was very noisy and echoey...not much you can do about that. Next time I will ask for a quieter spot.
I had French onion soup nice but topped with soggy bread and awful cheese which stuck to the spoon. Main course ok, staff very friendly.
Allocated a table in a nice are, filthy seats and floor area left in a state by previous diners but not cleaned before seating us there. Food was very good, service was good despite being busy with efficient wait staff. The woman in charge of area in the main section of entrance level was utterly miserable and sour (not one of the regular supervisors, maybe new or covering).
Cote Windsor is always a very reliable restaurant with good service and well cooked food. Menu varied without being overwhelming, and of course not overpriced.
Early bird meal was good value for money but the service was a little slow. There seemed to be a shortage of staff for the number of customers dining.
I really like this restaurant and pretty much have excellent service every time. Tasty French food and and restaurant in a great position overlooking the river. If there are any issues they are only too pleased to put them right.
Waiter let us try several wines before we settled on our choice. Excellent meal and service as usual plus a lovely table overlooking the river
Good service, nice atmosphere and a tasty menu. Cote Brasserie is always an enjoyable place for a meal out. The menus are reasonably priced and good value
Our waiter tall (Polish?) gentleman was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent and good value . Would be nice to see a few more choices on Mains menu. Confit de Canard is my favourite dish at Côte so I miss it when it is not there! All staff with which we interacted were very professional and curteous. All in all a very enjoyable experience.
Tasty food. Lovely table overlooking Eton Bridge. Good service (though 12.5% included in bill) Nice touch of free dessert and bubbly for the birthday girl 😀
Great table by the river, friendly service. Husband loved the fish parmentier and me the pork belly. The dauphinoise was a bit plain as was the pain perdu.
Very friendly staff and great service along with delicious food. Only change would make is the seating with couples shared on 1 couch is a bit awkward.
Awful experience, usually never disappointed. Under staffed, no attention to detail and meals mixed up. Won’t be coming back to this branch. Waste of money
Cote is always consistent, good value and range of quality cooked food. Added to that a super location on the river what could be better!
