superb location with great view of the Thames. usual great staff and highly recommend the cassoulet and the sea bream was a good meaty fish.
I have always found the staff friendly and attentive. The pre theatre menu is great value. The overall atmosphere is lovely. It always feels like a special treat!
Brilliant location, food fine, service fine, acoustics diabolical and very chilly when the staff opened the French windows when it was 8 degrees outside because some guests further away reported being hot. We were shivering and couldn't hear east other speak. Come on Cote you are a national chain and should be able to sort out the temperature and some noise absorbing furnishings / ceiling
Overall I love Cote but the big downfall is the fact that you don't include even 1 slice of bread with your soups. It is as though this course is incomplete. Many thanks Richard Hannam.
The menu had a good choice of food, and was excellent. Our waitress confessed that it was her first week, but she was very efficient and friendly.
Good choice of food and excellent service. I would suggest that steak and frittes could improve, smaller piece of better quality meat. Otherwise up to the usual high standards. Very good value for money.
Calamari tasty and salmon succulent on ratatouille was lovely though little. Consistent waiting on our table of three all evening with efficiency. Though my G&T arrived in a hot glass so I tipped it into the water glass to keep ice solid! Great night out in a busy and cared for restaurant.
Great location with a fabulous view to Windsor Castle, Good food, good value and great service from our very friendly and attentive waiter. We'll be back
A great experience with lovely ambience. I had the set lunch menu which was extremely good value and the hake was delicous and cooked perfectly. I will be back soon!
Great location and given a good table with view out over River Thames. Food was good and beautifully presented. A good place for lunch in Windsor.
The steak was delicious. The service was good - polite, friendly and attentive. The ambience was conducive to making a very pleasant evening altogether.Thank you.
A nice table by the window, went for the breakfast menu, good piping hot food nicely cooked and we'll presented + good value for money. Would recommend
Great service and very good food. Love the setting by the river. We have been several times before and will be back again. One of our favourite restaurants.
View perfect for river setting, service ok although not busy, but tables not cleared prior to arrival nearby, had to send one meal back as not cooked as ordered, but they did apologise for error.
Lovely location overlooking the River Thames. The staff were very helpful and efficient and the food is varied and exceptionally good value. Food with variety, flavour and well served - what’s not to like.
I took my mother here for her birthday lunch. We were treated extremely well. Had a lovely river view table, food was delicious and at the end we even received a complimentary glass of fizz....totally unexpected. I will definitely be returning. Thank you!
Food and service was good. Strange that you could not put a tip on the bill when paying with a credit card, which meant scrabbling around for cash, not what you want on a business dinner.
Brilliant service and food. Our waiter was very happy all the time and the food was excellent, even with all the changes I asked for.
One cannot find better value for money in such super surroundings anywhere. Food super, as was the service. A window table overlooking the Castle and the river was a delight.
Good location, excellent service, tasty food and reasonable price. (This stupid website requires a minimum of 25 words - I've used 9 which covers everything!)
The food was good and the early bird menu value for money. The staff as always were very accommodating. Lovely setting on the Thames too!
Once again- lovely service , fabulous food & perfect atmosphere for dinner. The pork escalope was cooked to perfection and I'll definitely be ordering it again. Thank you
I found that the menu didn't have the variety that I would expect. For instance their was no Liver main dish. Or maybe I missed it!
Always consistently good food and service wherever we have been to a Cote Brasserie in Eton, Exeter and Marlow. Excellent locations and pleasant staff. Recommended.
Excellent service, great atmosphere, fabulous food. Always a pleasure to go to Cote in Windsor it never disappoints, the professionalism of the staff is outstanding
The restaurant offers the best value for money in the Windsor area, perfect for pre or after theatre meals. Always offers good service and a variety of tasty French meals.
We had a really delicious meal. The staff were friendly and attentive. When I booked I asked for a table in the conservatory and we were given the most lovely seats by the window with a view over the river. Thank you!
We were waiting ages for waitress who haven’t look happy to serve anyone .. The food was fine, except desserts from microwave. . . .
Enjoyed our lunch We were very hungry Plates were not hot at start of meal Potatoe dish amazingly delicious an hot as usual not chicken plate or sauce Green beans overcooked and grey looking Never the less hunger needs met Manager and waiting staff amazing and intuitive to our needs Delicious complementary desert given Lovely
Great situation in Eton. Good food and prompt service. Excellent.
My friend and I arrived at 12.30 having already booked a table. We were offered a window table upstairs, which was already quite busy, or downstairs, where we would be on our own. We chose downstairs which, by the time we left at 2.00, was pretty full! We ordered our drinks, water for my friend, white house wine for me. We chose the £11.50 weekday lunch menu and, within a few minutes, we were invited to select our mains. I chose a pork dish and my friend opted for fish. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. More drinks were offered before we chose our desserts. I chose a Normandy apple crumble, my friend a chocolate sponge. Again, we were delighted with them We had an excellent and enjoyable lunch, and felt it was excellent value for money.
Always a wonderful reception by the staff. Excellent food and presentation and wonderful views of the river and Windsor Castle. I was celebrating a birthday!
the restaurant did not have our boking when we arrived despite showing them the emails you had sent me. they reluctantly found us a table but not in the area we had asked to sit. We then had to wait 45 minutes between finishing our first course and the arrival of our main course which was much longer than we usually have to wait. Having told you of our bad experiences the food we had was delicious. Derek Bayley
The venue was classy, the service was good. We enjoyed the quality of the food and drinks. I would definitely recommend it and eat there again.
We were lucky to have a window riverside table . Service was good and loved the November specials - typical Landaise country style cuisine. Good bottle of Merlot at a reasonable price . Who could ask for more .
The four of us has a very nice meal sat over looking the river Thames. The staff were all very friendly and gave great service. Highly recommend. We are never disappointed when we eat at Cotes in Windsor
Disappointing. The menu never changes which is a good reason why it should be excellent (although the do 'specials which are different each time). My French onion soup lacked depth of flavour and my minute steak was chewy and not pleasant. My husband left his cassoulet (a special) and we left thinking we won't rush back.
We have eaten here on several occasions and always receive courteous, friendly, efficient service. The restaurant is comfortable and the river views are particularly pleasing, especially on a Summer’s day. The food presentation and quality is very good. We would highly recommend a visit.
Great service from the servers - friendly & efficient. Food really nice too & good value - 2 courses for lunch. Great location in Windsor.
Great food, fantastic service😀. We had a very enjoyable early evening meal, great value for money. The Cote Brasserie is very comfortable and cozy. Perfect Experience .
Sadly not a great experience and we are fans of Cote. My husbands medium well fillet streak was thin, dry and brown no pink at all. We had send it back and mine with it so we could eat together. They replaced both and we had a delicious meal but the evening had been spoiled by having to complain and being dissapointed. They took the steak off the bill witch was a good gesture. When it’s good it’s fab there but they do get it wrong sometimes and that’s a shame. We will try again though!
Got there and someone had my table, the area they sit us was very noisy for a dinner date and the food hasn’t great, the pork belly was too fat and not cook properly, the fish stew was too messy and spicy that make me sick. Not going back there.
Ambience and staff good. Disappointed with the veg ordered as cold as well as sauce for meal. For the price not at all happy sorry
I've been to several Cote restaurants. Always a great menu whatever time of day you eat. For me Windsor Cote is the best with its location overlooking the Thames and Castle.
Lovely location on the river.Service as usual very good fast with attentive staff. Food was good and well presented. I would reccomend for a quick lunch in delightful surroundings.
Nice staff and good food Love the setting of this place overlooking the river, was quiet for lunch and the waiters were friendly and attentive
Beautiful location right on the river, very nice staff (always attentive but also letting us have time to talk) and perfect menu for our lunch.
Fabulous fresh food, superb service, every time I come here I always I always leave feeling satisfied, and you have the service so right ! Well done Cot’e Windsor.
very busy and too noisy, initally seated next to unacceptable group who appeared to have been drinking rather too much but quickly moved to a better area. Food and service good as ever.
I come here regularly and this was one of my worst visits. On arrival we was seated downstairs in one of their dining sections. We immediately noticed a few large groups and figured it would be loud. This ended up feeling like being in a pub rather than going for dinner. Myself and my girlfriend was the only couple to be sat down there which was odd. When asking the staff why this happened and if we could move, they was more focused on who to put the blame on than to actually help us. The food is great, but the service here is so unreliable. When you come here as a one off you can get over it and hope next time is better, but when you come a lot it’s expected your business is appreciated, I don’t feel this is the case at all. The two staff hardly even noticed us when dealing with their section. They knew the larger tables would be a bigger tip so we had a very rushed and careless service. If you catch this place on a good day then it’s great, I’ve seemed to have too many bad days recently and won’t be coming back for a while sadly.
