Staff has been friendly and professional both when welcoming us and during the service. Food was nice and well presented... up to expectations!!! Makes our recommendation list!
The service was excellent from a super helpful waiter. It was a great breakfast in a wonderful location. It was nice to be asked for a replacement item when I asked for no tomato!
The food was not up to standard for the price but on the plus side the staff are brilliant setting gorgeous food a no no x
Setting was lovely but service was poor - we had to ask 3 times for a side dish that didn't arrive. Certainly not what I'm used to when dinning at Cote.
The visit was perfect. My friends from Newport Beach in California came over for the Royal wedding. Richard, the manager was incredibly friendly and helpful. The menu was great, the service was excellent. A fantastic lunch.
Excellent service, fabulous food all topped off with a great table in the sun overlooking the river. A perfect venue for a lovely birthday lunch celebration.
The service and food was lovely, however our table appeared to be simply crammed in and made it very uncomfortable, we couldn’t even hear eachother.
We come here fairly regularly and it is a great venue with great staff and that's the main point. Consistently very good food and service in a usually very busy, bustling Cote in a great location. We booked an 20.30 table on a Saturday, got a river view which was much appreciated. Everything was fine but, and I can't believe I am going to say this (because too slow service is even worse), the service was too quick. With a table at this time it is most likely not going to be re-laid. We ordered drinks and nibbles as well as starters and mains. The starters arrived almost immediately with the drinks and before the nibbles. Don't get me wrong I'm really impressed with how quickly the kitchen and front of house worked but they lost the sale of the nibbles (as they rightly offered to refund) but they also lost out on an extra aperitif (from me!). Our mains were on our table within 20 mins of sitting down - great if you are in a rush, a little disappointing if it's an intimate dinner for 2. After that it all slowed down and we had a great evening. To the staff at Cote Windsor who are thinking 'There's no pleasing some people' - this isn't a complaint - we'll be back again and again. Take it as a reminder of where the margins are... :-)
Lovely restaurant to spend a sunny evening overlooking Elton bridge. Good value 2 or 3 course set menu. Great service and good food, very French in style.
Food and service good, if a little slow. The set price menu was well thought out. The only criticism would be the steaks should be hung for a little longer to increase the flavour.
Lovely setting. Service good until the end when all waiters seemed to disappear. We all ordered from the set lunch menu which I don't think I'd do again as I think it is poorer quality and smaller portions. My haddock was small and overcooked as were the beans
Cote Windsor was very very nice. The waiters were attentive but discreet. Service was prompt, but not rushed, even though the restaurant was busy. Our lunch, from the set menu, was delicious and pudding was wonderful. The price was very reasonable too. I would recommend Cote Windsor to anyone.
We really enjoyed our experience, and the staff were great, especially the maitre d' who was ever so lovely when he heard we were celebrating my mothers 90th birthday. As we had traveled from Australia for this important family event, we will most definitely return on our next visit to the UK.
An excellent place to dine. Would highly recommend this location that has a great staff. The location on the river is prefect as is the food.
We love going for breakfast at Côte Windsor! The location is superb; beside the Thames, with a view of the castle. The food and service are equally good. We will be back.
The service was friendly but very poor. My husband was given his starter before his main dish. The food is decent but not fantastic. The highlights are the view on the Thames and Windsor castle.
Beautiful setting on the river, lovely dinner and the staff could not have been more welcoming and professional- both at reception and at the table. See you soon.
Asparagus was bril and pork belly sublime. Windsor A great location and staff very attentive. Hurry up and reopen Horsham, I miss my local Cote!
We celebrated our anniversary with a meal overlooking where we met. A lovely occasion, with great food and wine and a particularly helpful and friendly waiter, Attia. We'll be back for our next anniversary.
My husband had the Breton stew - he said the best he had had, and he has had many at various Cote Restaurants - I had the fish Parmentier - wish I could say the same , sad lack of potato on the top and no nice thick white sauce with leeks chopped up in the bottom, overall the pie was a bit dry, and the leaks were in big chunks - sorry to have to tell you Wokingham Fish Pie, heaps better!!
We had a lovely table by the window and the food was good. The waiter was lovely but he did forget a few things however we would still return.
The usual excellent Cotes food, beautiful location particularly on a sunny day. Only minus slightly slow service, but it was a busy day. Also it may seem trivial, but the Ladies loo cubicles are so small that the disabled one was the only one useable. (I’m a size 12!)
My Cote experience has always been good since the first day Cote Windsor opened. On this occasion we had a table near the river as the weather was good. I had the May special which was an 11ounce Entrecôte Steak which was cooked perfectly nice and tender the only thing that could have been better was that the plate should have been hot, but because it wasn’t my steak went cold very quickly which did spoil it. The service was very good and I was told by my waiter that because they were very busy it could have been the reason the plate wasn’t hot. Anyway it was still a good experience.
Unfortunately food quality was very poor, sirloin steak very chewy, fillet steak overcooked, very dry. Very much disappointed today. Can’t recommend. Hopefully next time will be better
A LOVELY lunch with a good friend, we were lucky to have a window seat overlooking the river on a beautiful early summer day, our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Great food a perfect experience.
Good food and excellent service by friendly and helpful staff. The ideal prelude to a visit to the theatre. What more can one ask for
Had a lovely lunch outside looking at the river. Food was good, service was a little slow at times. It was a busy bank holiday though. Would go again.
Beautiful river setting ..excellent food and setting . Our waiter was on the ball and couldn’t do enough for us with attention to detail and constantly asking if there was anything he could do . Lovely day out on the river
Fantastic food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Great location. They give you plenty of time to enjoy your food and never make you feel like you have to rush. Best place ever!
Breakfast was good but I don't understand why they have stopped doing a smaller version for kids. To have to pay full price for kids breakfast is not great and would definitely put me off going back again.
There is no better place to be on a lovely sunny day that sitting outside at Cote Brasserie, Windsor, opposite Windsor Castle and on the bank of the River Thames sunbathing in between each delicious course and drinking kir royales! However, this is my favourite restaurant at any time of year. They now have a choice of set menus and the service is always excellent and the atmosphere always good.
Staff could not cope. Queues, cross customers. We abandoned, very disappointed.such a shame as good experiences before but atmosphere last night was awful. Needs to be sorted urgently as we had booked a month ago.
Staff helpful as one ot our party had their leg in a brace. Party of 5 table booked in advance however our server was a new starter. Service was slow and some items ordered did not arrive (toast) but between us we had enough to go round. Some items we needed to remind. And getting the bill took awhile. Probably would have been good if someone checked we were ok especially with a first day new starter serving.
I go to cote in Wimbledon ,Kingston ,and Esher, always good service ,but in Windsor I would say service is much slower but it's much larger so busy.food always good.
Excellent location lovely food and great atmosphere . We sat in the conservatory looking out on Thames . Such a brilliant view ! We had breakfast which was plentiful and good value for money Lovely exoerience
Lovely sunny table by the window. Excellent food and service. Lovely location watching the river and looking across to Windsor Castle. Favourite place to eat.
All was great...especially accommodating our 9 year old grand daughter! Thank you! Our food was delicious, service was superb, and we were given that great table by the entry window.
Yummy yummy yummy. I will be back again soon! Great atmosphere and food. Food hot and served quickly, with a nice range of wines as well.
Staff amazing Great great food Venue has a lovely setting, I go very often due to the food, staff and location. I would recommend this restaurant
Lovely meal with a really good menu covering lots of choices. Excellent service at just the right pace. The view is great and the flying swans display was a bonus on such a lovely evening. Good value for money
An excellent set menu which changes each month and friendly helpful staff. Also it is easy to find which dishes are gluten free. Lovely food.
Love the Cote chain. Always Good food, great atmosphere, wonderful deserts. However. On this occasion our mains arrived shortly after our shared starter, which we were still eating. The waiter offered to take the mains away and keep them warm till we were ready.we decided against this, as I don’t think fish keeps warm. We finished the starter off along with the main and still enjoyed our meal.
Friendly service, very good steak frites, great setting. The set lunch menu is imaginative but not excessively long - a good thing. The a la carte is French bistro meets gastropub and caters for most tastes. Particularly good on light lunch options as well. All in all a great value lunch venue.
Our whole dining experience was excellent. The food was excellent and despite the restaurant being busy was served in a good time span. Excellent polite and attentive service throughout from arrival to ending our meal. Thank you to all.
Great table and good service. Had to wait for the table to be prepared and then order drinks but after that it was good. Total cost fair too and the wine was good.
Friendly service, lovely location, good food, good wine. The menu had a large selection. Prices of desserts was a bit much for what you get.
Lovely Food and very helpful staff. This was a girlie lunch catch-up with a toddler and the staff was very helpful to find us a more adequate table, where she could play around with her toys and at the same time do not disturb other clients.
The food was good and the service was excellent, but with it being Mother's Day, it did feel like we were a little crammed in
The food was acceptable and the service - when it eventually arrived - was fine. On the other hand, the atmosphere was great and the view, facing the river, was great.
Good food. Good service. But management were not flexible when we arrived early and made us wait when much of the restaurant was empty. Merco waiter from Sicily was superb.
