Another great breakfast in good surroundings with a lovely view of the Thames in WINDSOR & Eton.
I do like going to Cote for breakfast; nice atmosphere, just the right level of service and good food!
Good food, lovely location by the river on an outside table. Waiter was friendly and attentive. Could not ask for more, so well done Cote Brasserie
We had a lovely table by the window in the Pavilion. The menu was varied and interesting and the food was beautifully prepared and presented. Add a helpful, friendly staff (ourmwaiter was outstanding - just wish I could rememer his name!) and what more could you ask for? Cote always gives good value for money and I heartily recommend it.
The toasted roll/baguette accompanying the chicken liver pate was stale, and the amount of pate was much reduced over previous visits,. Then, the plaice on a bed of mash potato tasted just like mush. - could not differentiate the plaice from the mash. Overall EXTREMELY disappointing.
Lovely table by the river and attentive personable waitress. The chicken was under-cooked but replaced without any problems - everything else was scrummy from the outset.
Glad we reserved as very busy on a sunny evening. Service was fab and food was great. Would definitely recommend sitting outside on the riverside terrace.
Great Christmas shopping lunch with friend and kids. Lovely setting. Staff really friendly. Food was great!
Booked in advance for table of 4 and on arrival restaurant was really busy but we were still offered inside or outside seating. Chose outside and had a lovely table overlooking river. Service and food were very good as always and good value too. Would definitely recommend.
Cote Windsor never fails to give a great service with perfect atmosphere and staff. Also, I mentioned my friend's birthday and she received a free glass of Kir Royale!
Booking was a quick and easy experience and the service was excellent and fab food. Fantastic table in the conservatory overlooking the river thames. A wonderful evening on a great summer's evening. If you get there before 7pm you can get the early bird deal.
We had an excellent meal with friendly service. There was a good amount of choice on the 2/3 course daytime menu for July. We had a table by an open window looking over he river which was lovely for a hot day.
The setting was lovely however our main course was inedible. We waited 30mins after our starter to be served with food we couldn't eat. It was far too salty and overloaded with garlic. We complained and the food was deducted from our bill. It would have been nice to have been offered an alternate dish rather than go home hungry. Not good.
Excellent service and food - as always. Friendly, professional staff always willing to help but not intrusive. We are regular diners at the Windsor branch and have never had anything but excellent service.
Excellent family lunch for 7 people, was a bit apprehensive after reading the reviews. Very friendly service and food was really good. Would definitely go back.
Food excellent as ever, likewise service. However, we’ve been twice recently when we had to queue to be shown to our table, this time about five minutes, last time ten, and we had reservations. They just don’t have enough staff for busy periods. Both times Late Sunday on our website any back from London to Cardiff.
Excellent service, good food, great location! I'm a regular at Cote Windsor and while everything is great, the training that goes into ensuring that the service is superb is impressive. (The staff have told me what is involved). Well done!
Tough over cooked steaks, waiter said he would replace steak, and grey looking steak came out. Had clearly been frozen. Ignored after arriving, no aknowledgment that we were standing there.
We’d been to different branches of Cotes before & had a lovely meal so thought we’d try the Windsor one. Booked for 2.15pm & it was very busy. Sadly it was Very slow service. 20 mins after arriving & being seated we still had not been asked if we would like to order drinks - I had to ask a passing waitress to order drinks & food. Our Starters didn’t arrive until 1 hr after ordering. We were starving! The waitress had to come back again to check our main course choices as they’d forgotten. We were given no explanation for the delay for the long wait & the waitress who was lovely was clearly embarrassed. The food was good but they clearly need more staff to cope with the number of customers. This branch was not up to the usual high standards we’d had at other branches so disappointing.
The food was nice but had to ask for drinks twice and 2 dishes were forgotten so we just left without them. Service was mediocre but the view is nice.
It took a while to order initially due to the restaurant being busy, however after placing our order the waiting staff were attentive and made sure we had enough to drink and eat. A great view from the balcony of the River Thames and Windsor Castle.
Stunning location. Great food at even greater prices. Creme caramel.......if you like creme caramel, try theirs. 2 and 3 course set menus excellent value for money and you can wave at the Queen (if she's in) on you way home.
Very nice food with outside table in wonderful location by river. Staff great . Had the burger very good with rose wine. Don't need to book outside tables but very busy
A beautiful setting by the river in Windsor. The food was delicious with plenty of choice and service was swift. It’s worth making a reservation as it was very busy at lunch time. Would definitely return.
No complaints food good service good always a great place to go. Venue on the bridge is fab particularly with the lovely weather we have had
Superb service, food and views. Lovely relaxed feel with a touch of sophistication. Affordable prices. Good for a quiet chat or a celebration. Highly recommended
I booked on line... couldn’t have been easier! The evening was perfect from start to finish. We had a wonderful view of the river and the castle, super service and the food was great! Will certainly return!
It’s a most beautiful branch of Cote with riverside tables and a terrace. Our waitress was of The highest standard and could not be faulted at all! Amazing breakfast by the river and the best coffee in town. Will be back as always!
Excellent nice hot evening and dined on the outside lower riverside deck, perfect. Obviously the kitchen was rather stretched and service time delayed but as we had just returned from our holiday in Italy and France 21/2 hours for the three course meal at Cot'e Eton seemed perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Your complimentary bottle of wine also went down well as was your charming waitress. Keep this up and we will never tire of Cot'e Eton. Kind Regards, Brian Wright
Absolutely fabulous evening. Our 49th Wedding Anniversary so special evening. Food terrific staff excellent especially our waiter Adel. So attentive and a great guy, thank you for a lovely evening.
Food good but service slow and disorganised. Wrong drinks served. Splashed by waiter opening bottle of sparkling wine at next table. Poor service recovery. Long wait between starter and main course.
Wonderful food and great service. The only flaw was that we couldn't pay. When the plates were cleared, the waiter disappeared and did not come back for 30 minutes. I had to go out and ask if I could pay for the meal. Then someone came and gave me the bill.
Overall experience was very good. We were a party of four, the food was lovely, the staff were very attentive and we had a table outside, the setting was beautiful.
We eat here a lot but the last experience was not good. We were entertaining an overseas visitor who order Hake Provencale with new potatoes. The potatoes arrived and were old and actually sprouting by at least 1cm. So embarrassing!!! The delivering staff were quite happy to place them in front of our visitor and clearly 'the chef' thought they would do as well. They took them away when we all reeled back in distaste & said they'd bring more. Whilst we waited I called the manager who explained that the potatoes come prepacked in little bags and that sprouting potatoes was the fault of the menu development department!!! How she worked this one out when it was clearly a food safety issue was beyond us. When our waitress delivered the bill with no apology & when we queried the serving of old vegetables claimed she knew nothing about it!!! NOT GOOD
As ever the location, ambience and food were excellent. Service could have been a bit more attentive as staff were absent for periods of time.
Loved the location and perfect for a quick bite. Had the offer menu and was good value Would definitely go again when I go to windsor
Fantastic location. Cheery friendly staff, attentive but not intrusive. Three of us dining and all ordered different dishes. The food was delicious, clean plates all round!
Service was good. Staff were very polite and weren't over bearing. So a good balance. The location was stunning, excellent food. Will definitely return in the future.
Great location overlooking the river Thames and Windsor Castle - on a beautiful sunny day a table outside or by the windows is hard to beat. Also very convenient for anyone wishing to utilise Windsor & Eton Riverside Station (which is just under an hour's train ride to London Waterloo) as it is a short walk across the bridge and along the river from the restaurant. The food is always of a good standard and the staff friendly and pleasant.
The location and settings of the restaurant was fantastic. Staffs & services were excellent & accommodating. The chicken was a bit dry but the other dishes were tasty especially the minted pea soup. I will definitely go back again.
Still one of my favourite places to eat, good food and excellent service and a great location especially if you can get a riverside table!
Location beautiful. the food was good . service a bit slow but we had the time . we will revisit. It is good to note the service charge is added to your bill at 12.5%.
Great waterside location with extensive menu at reasonable prices. We booked a table outside on a beautiful sunny day and were offered a choice of sun or shade. Perfect
Probably the best located Cote we've been to. Tadjd by the open windows looking out over the Thames towards Windsor castle! Food was very good, as we expect from Cote. Service friendly and attentive. Would definitely in back
Perfect venue with open doors looking out over the Thames. It took at least 10 mins waiting at the door to be shown our reserved table. Slightly chaotic waiting on eg table not cleaned between courses and we had to ask for water. Food: fish stew quite salty, chicken on the dry side however the steak was well cooked if not as rare as ordered. Yummy puds.
Great location and very good food for the price. Slight problem with the scrambled eggs being lukewarm but this was put right in a very professional way. A great place, we go often!
Lovely breakfast, very good service and fabulous views😎 across Eton Bridge, pre booked on line.Lots of tables outside to experience river if sunny. Every previous visit has also been very enjoyable.
We had an excellent meal with excellent service from our waiter Adele. This is a wonderful location overlooking the Thames. We will certainly go again.
Good food, good service and apologies for a slight delay in the desserts. Enjoyed the view overlooking the River Thames. Will certainly visit another time.
Service and food excellent. Lovely atmosphete and a real nice restaurant. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. We were not rushed to finish and enjoyed our afternoon at Cote Windsor.
