Côte Windsor Restaurant

We meet here once a month and sadly there always seems to be something to be negative about! Hate being negative, so want to give you guys a good review! Last night we placed our order and the waiter forgot to put it through so we waited and waited and waited and then decided to ask, also the portion of chips was tiny! Half that of my friend so had to ask for more. Apart from that location great and food as good as ever and it all got sorted in the end

Great dinner experience ,with beautiful surroundings. Staff was courteous, friendly and offered a great customer experience.

We loved our evening at Cote Brasserie. A warm welcome, amazing setting, delicious food, friendly staff. Thomas loomed after us so well. Thank you. We will certainly return. :-)

Excellent venue and great food. Loved the Free G&T, which we didn't even have to ask for. Will be back soon.

Had reserved a table for Saturday lunchtime and we were seated on the outside terrace within 10 minutes of arriving. Ordered the chateaubriand for two. An excellent choice as it was one of the best steaks my wife and I have had in this country. The service from the staff was perfect and completely complemented our meal. Not our first visit and have never been disappointed. Well done Cote!

I really enjoyed my first Cote experience. Lovely atmosphere, lovely food and friendly staff. Can't wait to try something else next time.

Service was unfortunately very slow. We waited a whole hour between courses! We would have appreciated the offer of another drink while we waited so long... or some other goodwill gesture- a coffee or reduction on the bill. Staff seem well intentioned but not trained on the mysteries of keeping the customer happy.

We chose indoors which was probably a good idea, given it got a little windy outside - and the view i not as good. Everything went smoothly, the food was good and came quickly and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was a little noisy at the start which doesn't help the atmosphere but as the evening went on it became quieter.

Managed to persuade the staff for a table outside - perfect!

Love the variations of differently priced lunch menus. Great service too.

Our server was attentive and very accomodating (young brunette gentleman from South Africa). We enjoyed the view and all of the food was wonderful! We will definitely return.

Good value pre theatre meal, with lovely view and ambience

Lovely food, good service, beautiful location. Toilets let place down as not very clean.

Excellent location and view. The food was on the whole excellent but the pavlova was not a pavlova and the fish stew lacked fish. Service first class and on the whole still the best place to eat in WINDSOR.

We all enjoyed our meals, we were very happy with the service and loved the location of the restaurant.

Amazing setting right on the banks of the river. Fabulous place to have an evening dinner. Starters were super, but main course chicken was dry. Salmon was excellent.

Always a great time at Cote. We are (very) regulars. The Vegetarian/Vegan menu is excellent (you need to ask for it). Service from our waiters Vlodaya (?) and Thomas was first class.

Service not as good as my previous visits. I asked for water it never came so had to ask again. We asked for side plates with our starter they never came. We sat quite a long time before anyone offered us drinks. Then I had to go in to pay (we were outside) as all servers just disappeared. Food was great.

Excellent service booked a table for 20 people and the staff coped very well with food delivered promptly for each course. Would certainly recommend the food it was delicious all in all it is a great restaurant which is very reasonably priced, lovely staff & good food can't go wrong!

As usual the staff were most attentive. Duck pate was very strong and I was disappointed that the pork tenderloin was not served with any vegetables. My guests peach crumble had to be returned as the topping was uncooked underneath. I will go back but be careful of my choice of food next time. Bit sad as Zi had told my guest how great the food was at Cote’s.

We had a lovely lunch to celebrate my sister’s 70th birthday. The meal was superb, the service was excellent and the staff were charming. Never had a bad meal here and, of course, the location is perfect. Very good value for money.

Food great as always but very slow service. Good service recovery though as Bill reduced.

We visited Cote Windsor for a pre-theatre meal, and everything was perfect, as usual! The 2 or 3 course set menu in the early evening is excellent value for money, and beautifully presented.

Despite forgetting our order of toast (which was still included on our bill, until we asked for this to be corrected), we were still charged the 12.5% service fee. We could have asked for this to be removed and had an awkward conversation, but not worth it. It would be better to allow (a table of 2) to decide on their tip. Not a fan of service charges automatically included, as this devalues the point of leaving a tip.

Service was fantastic, even though it was busy. Food and atmosphere there also great. Felt welcomed and looked after, didn't want for anything.

A lovely table by the open window. Our server was polite and helpful and tried very hard to please. However it was a very busy Saturday night and he was under pressure to serve everyone despite being quick on his feet. The food arrived in good time but we would have liked extra drinks but there was no one to ask, so we gave it up and did without, which spoiled our evening a bit. Definitely not the waiter’s fault...just too busy! Food, as always, was delicious.

Had to wait a while to be seen to as very busy. Poached egg on top of fishcake was hard boiled! Clearly it had ben sitting for a while waiting to be taken to table. Service was polite but generally slow. Restaurant was also very noisy!

it was a great night. we had 2 birthday celebrations and the table was perfect - the service was excellent and the food was delicious. on top of all that - the price was very reasonable as we were a family of 6. will definitely go back again and would recommend this Cotes to everyone

Very disappointing food wise. Our first two choices had run out, the steak was very grisly and the pork terrine was dry. We didn’t make a fuss as the service and atmosphere were good. This is my second mediocre meal there in two months. Time for a new venue I think......

Lovely food, generous portions. Only downside was waiting outside in a long queue despite having a booking. But food and service made up for the wait.

Attiya looked after us excellently this Saturday, 6th July. It was a busy lunchtime and we could see all staff were busy but he tended to us with a timely and polite manner, while also remembering all of our special requests (food swaps etc) and even had time to have a little chat with us. The view was lovely and I e joyed the special Veal Steak muchly. Thank you Attiya, we came hungry and you looked after us well! Paige

My wife and I have been frequenting Côte Windsor since it opened and it has always been good in every way, but this time my steak frites just did not cut it, the flavour just wasn’t there, maybe I have been spoiled in the past by having fillet steak. Anyway everything else was great as usual so we will be back.

Excellent service (Lucy), lovely views of the river, food slightly over cooked but tasty. Restaurant needs a bit more thorough cleaning.
