Decided to have the steak tartar starter as a main course - when it arrived it was nothing like any other steak tartar I had before (I was born in Belgium, have lived in France and have travelled all over Europe)!!! Meat looked as if it had been cooked - I sent it back and when I received a second plate was informed that the chef had overdone the sauces in the mixture. Second one was better but still very heavy on the sauces! Would have been better to have offered the opportunity to make it yourself with all the ingredients presented on a plate as is the case in many other restaurants.
Excellent food, buzzy atmosphere and friendly service as usual for Cote
My second visit in as many weeks and what a difference! The food was still excellent, it was the service which was much much improved. Very attentive and efficient, a lovely lunch, good food, good service, great ambience. Will be back!
Settled on the starter and main from the April special menu. The mushroom feuillette had delightfully light flaky pastry and very tasty, correctly served on a hot plate. The large veal escalope was excellent with a side of frites. No room fro desserts, but, as usual the Cote americano coffee was delicious. Great personal service, friendly, professional and courteous. Just a cautionary note for the directors - it is a very large room and it was clear that as it began to fill, on a busy night the noise level would be very high. Any new sites and refurbs should seriously consider noise damping ceiling and wall attachments.
Beautiful venue, With really good food and wonderful service, we all had a really fun night. We will definitely look to come again in the near future.
It was the first time we had visited a Cote restaurant and it wii not be the last. The food was very good. Staff were excellent, friendly & attentive.
As always, consistently good food and service.....need I say more? The Cote chain remain our number one choice for value and quality.....long may it last!
This is a new Cote for us and food was as good as always. We tried the new special menu, which gave us substantial portions.
Mains and starters were good, and generally we had a good time. The tart tartin and fondants were lukewarm. The restaurant was not busy so service should have been good. There were inadequate waiting staff, they did their best and kept to a high standard but service was slow. The manager could have assisted, but spent her time fussing over laying and straightening tables which were not used while we there. We were a table of 6 yet she did not come over once. Due to the slow service we ended up being in the restaurant for 3 hours so there was ample time for her to ask how things were. All credit to the kitchen and waiting staff - someone needs to have a word with the restaurant manager.
Generally happy with our food on previous visits but disappointed in the steak on Sunday. Despite mentioning it twice to the waitress (normally, I don’t complain, so a bold step for me!) and needing to leave most of my meal, there was no acknowledgment from the kitchen or manager. It will make me less likely to go back.
Having been at this restaurant several times before I have noticed an improved service and general quality of the food. Perhaps just my lucky day but I hope it will remain as it is.
Very enjoyable experience, and the food was lovely. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and we certainly intend to come again. The fact that the restaurant was not too busy was a bonus for us as it meant that we could clearly hear what was being said!
The service was amazing and the food was perfect! The menu is very interesting and there is always something new and exciting to try. I can’t wait to visit Côte weybridge again!
Fantastic food, great value. Friendly service. Very good atmosphere in an infornal setting. Great location in Weybridge too, near bars for a pre or post dinner drink!
Crab disappointing. Too much cucumber, avocado etc. Not as much crab as usual. Waitress managed to drop used cutlery off plates down my back having earlier dropped other dirty plates all over the floor just next to our table. Experience not helped manager telling us we had selected an unlucky table rather than proffering an apology. While experience not up to your usual standard
Fillet steak was awful - fatty and overcooked - how you can charge £20 for it was outrageous. Additional side dishes did not come. Service and manager was good. The quality of the food ruined my daughters 16th birthday
A good meal was had by all seven of us today and the staff were exceedingly polite and friendly. Another good visit to Cote Webridge.
Been to several Cote restaurants before, but this was our first visit to Weybridge. The food was terrific and the service very good. Now living in Weybridge we shall certainly visit again.
The service was good but food lacked finesse compared to other Cote restaurants that I have visited i.e. London and Bristol. This is the third time I have eaten with friends at Weybridge and the feeling was mutual all round.
I sent back two steaks which were sinewy and chewy and eventually settled for some risotto. I expect better, well hung, beef in a French restaurant and steaks on previous visits have been exceptional, soft and melt in the mouth. The staff were brilliant - the food not too good.
Amazing food. Waiters and waitresses very attentive. Overall perfect dining experience. Great looking restaurant, very warm cosy feel to it, will definitely be visiting again.
The staff were very attentive and professional . The food was delicious and beautifully oresented . It was a delightful dining experience . Highly recommend .
Lovely food, I had the March special Sword fish. Delicious! The staff at Weybridge are always attentive, polite and friendly. A very pleasurable evening. Thanks
Excellent quality of food. Chose from fixed price menu. Had 3 courses all first rate Very good service as well Would recommend for a good lunch
Very nice lunch at Cote Weybridge. Great food and drink nice atmosphere and great service. Will definitely be going back. Best of the high street chains
great breakfast and good value for money. Table service poor. Sat waiting for our plates to be cleared after eating for a good 20 minutes and this left little space to enjoy our tea / coffee and toast... In the end we pilled the plates up to make room and it still took a while to collect them
Nice welcome from friendly staff. Starter of fried calamaris was good. Our mains of Boeuf Bourguignon and Roast Chicken were excellent. House red passable but should be better for the price! Enjoyable visit.
Visited for lunch, arrived at 12 noon, very quiet when we arrived but got busier. Staff very friendly and menu had enough choice. Will visit again.
We went out for a quick meal, main course only as we were both very tired. The staff were extremely welcoming to us as always, the food was served fairly promptly and was hot and tasty. We will be back very soon.
Great food at reasonable prices with nice wines. The Weybridge restaurant has a nice atmosphere with very friendly and helpful staff, would definitely recommend a visit
We arrive just before 7 pm and were able to take advantage of the early meal deal either 2 course for £11.50 or 3 for £13.50 which suited us. Food and service were good Pleasant surrounding to have girly chat and get together :)
Very pleasant atmosphere, calm, cosy and welcoming. My friends and I enjoyed a super 3 course set meal with excellent service. We'll be back soon.
Friendly service. Excellent value on the set menu. All 3 courses well-presented and tasty, enjoyed by the 3 of us. One drink order did not arrive but was dealt with when mentioned. Similarly request for more water took a reminder. However, this did not detract from an enjoyable lunch in a pleasant environment.
90 minute wait for main meal and long delay for starter. Drink spilled over me by waitress. They did offer us complimentary drink each though!
Good food and really great service as always in the Weybridge branch of Cote and I would most definitely recommend trying the March set menu.
Usually really enjoy Cote, with its solid, reliable and tasty food. They were clearly overstretched on Mother’s Day evening, had run out of usual wines and something had gone horribly wrong with the usually very tasty steak frites. All three at our table were served barely edible steaks, with curious and unpleasant texture and flavour.. frozen stock for when fresh runs out? They were courteous enough to knock the price of one steak off the bill as a goodwill gesture.. but, better to be more thoroughly prepared for high volume days?
Nice restaurant wonderful staff great service poor to mediocre food!
Really enjoyed our evening. Great food. Jolly fine wine. Excellent service. Thank you very much. We’ll be coming back very soon – if not sooner!
Mother's Day brunch at Cote, Weybridge - restaurant was very busy but staff couldn't have been more helpful. Slight error in the order was immediately rectified.
Great food and excellent Copa of complimentary pink champagne, the front of this restaurant is the best as it gets very noisy at the back
As always the staff were welcoming and attentive throughout our meal. Food good but just one small criticism. The leeks in the Fish Pie on the set lunch were very undercooked. We will of course return.
Not great really. Ok, they were busy, but it took ages to get served, even after getting up to fine a waiter and asking them to come over. My steak frites were cold - and I had to send it back. We will not be going back.
My grandaughter and I had a tasty lunch, she tried calamari for the first time and loved it. The waiter was most pleasant but could do with a size larger shirt as he was bursting out of it!!
Fabulous food as always the gratin was a little dryer than usual - great to get the free cocktails this month Kier Royal . When most places were closing early cause of the snow they still offered a full and great service
From arriving at the front door to leaving two hours later we were welcomed, very well attended to, served quickly with delicious food. I am a regular to Cote, it is my favourite for the above reasons.
Arrived on a very cold day, to a very warm welcome. Staff as always very attentive and friendly. Spent a lovely couple of hours with my partner enjoying good food with bottle of Fleurie. Be back soon.
Great value, very good service and really tasty as we have come to expect from our local Cote. Set menu option makes it a real deal. The goodwill gesture of knocking off the veg from the bill as the order hadn't been put through to the kitchen more than made up for the slight error
Fab breakfast set us up lovely for our day at the races
Good food. Service can let this place down. Been a few times now and food is always spot on but service can be slow
I love bringing my family for dinner at Cote Weybridge. It is such a hit, my eldest daughter decided on having breakfast with some of her 6th form colleagues from Heathside earlier this week as a proper "grown up" breakfast experience! They loved it too. Your menu is varied (but not too busy), great quality food, professional and friendly service, and great value for all age groups. Wise strategy, especially these days. Thank you. C.
