Côte West Bridgford

Food was fantastic, my soup was initially not hot enough, but that soon got sorted. Salad Nicoise was divine, hope they never take it off the menu. Mirabelle Tart for dessert was excellent, thoroughly recommended. Service was very good , but I do object to a 12.5% service charge being added to the final bill. It is not a formal restaurant with very fancy standards of service, it's just good, down to earth chain restaurant style food. I am a grown up & very capable of assessing whether I have deemed the service to be worthy of the extra reward of a gratuity. I realise it is optional, but then you put the customer in the awkward & potentially embarrassing position of declining it in order not to have to pay it. £8.25 tip for a table of 2 for lunch is excessive IMO. We have a number of restaurants within 5 minutes walk of each other & this is the only one to work this way.

Lovely food as always. We had the two course set lunch menu which was great value. Service excellent and atmosphere very relaxed. Would definitely recommend. Nice house Rose

I have been to the restaurant many times with friends so was confident when I made the booking as a thank you for my sister and niece. The evening started well with a lovely welcome from the gentleman on the reception followed by a warm and cheerful welcome from our waitress whose name we didn't catch. She was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about all the menus, helping us to make suitable choices from the vast array on offer. The starters arrived within an acceptable time during which she bought our drinks order and table water,again with a wonderful smile and cheery disposition. We had a perfect delay before the next course allowing us to savour the superb flavours at our leisure and we all thoroughly enjoyed our choice of mains. The plates were cleared and the desert menus left for us and then we waited and waited to place our desert order. Seeing our waitress very busy taking an order from a large group behind us and called to two other couples waiting I went in search of a waiter from the other side of the restaurant and requested they take our order as our own waitress was extremely busy which they did immediately. We had to wait some time for our deserts which were delicious and then had to wait again to try and catch someone's eye to get the bill. Overall the experience was pleasant but it had started off being so much better than pleasant until we were "forgotten about ".

This is the second time that we've had a bad experience at Cote West Bridgford, the first being my birthday meal last October. Again, the problem was with my wife's vegetarian meal and on this occasion, the risotto was cold when it arrived but when we asked for it to be reheated, it came back swimming on stock and was inedible.

Had an excellent meal with family and lovely wine and great service... Will definitely come to Cote again! All my family enjoyed the food of which there is a great choice.

Food and service very good. Can be a little noisy at times due to wooden floors rather than carpet. Always ask for service charge to be deleted.

Excellent service and quality of food. Had a seamless positive experience. We were looked after particularly well from arrival till departure and had a great night.

Wonderful service and a fantastic breakfast as always. The food is always good and the vegetarian breakfast is fab. My favourite place in West Bridgford for brunch.

Really nice evening (in the middle of the week though). Great service and welcoming staff. It would be nice to have some kids activity/colouring book for their entertainment but it is one of my favourite chain restaurants.

Apart from having to wait over 25 mins for our table which was pre booked for 8.15 (we were offered a complimentary drink for the delay) the rest of the evening was thoroughly enjoyable. We will certainly return in the near future. Alan Middleton

Enjoyed the atmosphere and the starters but was disappointed by the chicken with salardaise potatoes for main as it was quite dry.

Great value and tasty food for the £10-50 formule breakfast, excellent service as well:) Coffee was very good as well. We will see you again very soon, keep up the high standards!

We really enjoy Cotes and, as a chain, think it’s pretty good. However, on a busy Saturday night, they could not cope with a starter being ordered as a main.

Always very good...Tim, Gabi and David are all very good managers who, along with the kitchen, and other staff, make Cote the best restaurant in West Bridgford by far. Aaron Watson.

Booked on line and added a request for a table window if possible and was happy to see one had been reserved for us . Really friendly and helpful when we asked for advice on wines , our meal was really delicious . Thank you to all the staff .

Everything superb as usual from the initial welcome and the attentive waiting staff to the perfectly cooked food.

Very good staff but the quality of the food was not as good as our local cote in Guildford we regularly go to Guildford and the standard of food is consistently high.

Excellent food service and ambiance, thoroughly enjoyable evening, we will visit again soon.

I had the lunchtime menu.The pate was tasty and nicely presented.For the mains I had chicken which was very bland and forgettable Skipped the dessert.Glass of wine, sauvigion,was pleasant but expensive Might have been better to have bought a bottle between 3 of us. Didn't see the wine men(? that one was offered). We had a nice corner seat by the window,clean restaurant, waitress personable with just the right manner.Sorry only 4stars but main meal disappointing.

Great atmosphere tonight, busy, but still the service and wait time between courses was just right. Friendly professional service, good quality food and drinks a really pleasant experience all round.

The food is exceptional. The wine and the atmosphere is perfect. This is a jewel of a restaurant and continues to deliver great service. Strongly recommend.

Had a great birthday breakfast with my husband, son and daughter in law. Staff very friendly and efficient. Breakfast great quality and well cooked. Will definitely come again as have been here many times before but not for breakfast.

A lovely clean and inviting restaurant serving absolutely gorgeous food at a very reasonable price however the best thing was the staff, so helpful, no changes to the menu was a problem, and very chatty and happy. Just a really nice experience and will be going again

Thank you for a very pleasant lunch for three guests. Food here is consistently pleasingly served, hot and delicious. As a gluten-free person I am grateful for the care taken with separate menus and reassuring little flags when delivered to table. Restaurant sparsely occupied due to current Covid 19 concerns but staff remained friendly and engaged.

Another great meal at Cote love the menu and the prices are good.
