We had a lovely evening - our server was amazing, really interesting to hear about her travels. We sat outside so felt perfectly safe. The food , as always, was delicious.

The issue is with the outside tables for 4 people. These are extremely dangerous as they wobble so much, you have to balance the food and drink with other people at the table. There is a significant risk that hot food or liquid could be dropped onto a customers legs due to the extreme movement of the table top. We reported it immediately to staff who advised us that all of the tables where the same and it had been reported to head office a number of time over a number of months, without any solution

Wonderful welcome! Great service by friendly and cheerful staff. And the food was excellent. Good experience for our first visit after Welwyn Garden City Cote re-opened. And sooo good to be back there. We shall definitely return. And tables very safely arranged. Well done.

The service was good and quick, not long to wait between courses. Waiters & waitresses were very courteous and checked frequently throughout our meal if everything was satisfactory - which it was. Sanitising, cleanliness and distancing were all very well observed and compliant with current guidelines. Would certainly feel happy to go again in the near future. Just one comment I would like to add, isn’t it time they tried to offer some new lines on the Mains?? Although the choice is very good and varied, it doesn’t seem to have changed in well over the past 12-18 months and we do go to Cote regularly both in WGC and in London when we can.

after 6 months we finally blew to have our breakfast at cote. As usual the service was great.

The service was very good. The food was absolutely delicious. Served very quickly and hot. Price was also reasonable too. My only criticism is the shortage of vegetarian on the menu. The usual vegetarian menu was not available so in main dishes there are only 2 choices, otherwise this would have been a 5star review.

Loved the staff, the food was good but not exceptional, hated that we were the only customers who wore masks when moving around the restaurant but not a lot you can do about that.

The food was excellent. Prompt service. Exceptional waiters. The only minor issue was when I rang up to say I was going to be a bit late the woman was a little rude and said they couldn’t guarantee a table which I understood but was more how she said it. When we got there though there was A LOT of empty tables which didn’t seem to fill up so think it was a little odd

We've always enjoyed the Cote breakfast and its great that we can still enjoy it at weekends. The vegetarian breakfast is the best we've tried. We gather its now more popular than the Full English at Welwyn Garden Cote. Remainers last stand?

It was excellent. Lovely to be served by staff who knew their stuff, hot plates, and crisp white napkins! Full service resumed hoorah!

Our waitress was an absolute angel; she anticipated our needs immediately (we took our 93 year old mother/mother in law with us). Food was great as usual and we had a very enjoyable lunch. The rhubarb martinis were amazing.

Glad you are back. Glorious evening to sit outside and good food made it feel very french. Will you consider outdoor heaters so eating outside (which we prefer right now) could continue ?

Visited on a Tuesday afternoon so a little quiet - as Is to be expected. The food was lovely- if a little pricey for lunch - but the staff were exceptional. I have visited before and would always choose this branch over others in the area. All round a lovely experience.

Nice to sit outside. Tuna Niçoise salad not available which was a shame so had to choose another meal. Apart from that, all good.

Service was good. I had chicken and walnut salad. Very basic but okay. However the portion size for cost was absolutely rubbish. Not good value for money at all so I had to order a side with it, not good. Also no cash but okay to put hands all over card machine and every other object that's handled by staff and customer at the table. Makes no sense!

Food was good, service was good but unfortunately the kitchen were very, very slow! Food arrived in bits and pieces. Three meals arrived with the fourth five+ minutes later with the veg arriving after the meals were finished. To be fair, after complaining the bill was reduced as a good will gesture.

Excellent as always. Following closure, even though Cote at Home was a great substitute, could not wait to return to the real thing.

Our party of three sat at the lower level too close to the bar/servery area so for me it was too noisy. The food was good, waiting times OK. I found the bench seats uncomfortable as the backs were too upright and set too low for the table height. The waitress was very good and we love the WGC venue. Next time we will make sure we sit at the uppermost level.

Very happy Côte are back in Welwyn was very busy in the restaurant but the food was still excellent as was the service

Lovely to have you open again food very good only one complaint the burger bun was too dry and not warm but I am sure when back in your stride this will improve.

Very nice to be back in a friendly and lively environment but did worry that the restaurant had too many people to allow for social distancing. That said, the food and service was impeccable. Well done.

The tip added was too much. 15%? Possibly more. £30 for a table of 5. You also calculated the service charge on the complimentary martinis. This puts us off. Also the acoustics upstairs are too noisy, and you can’t hear others on your table talk.

Great to have Cotes back in Welwyn Garden City. Lovely evening.

Excellent food and service as ever at Cote - especially in the Welwyn branch. So child friendly (menu and activity pack) whilst feeling like an adult restaurant.

Great meal and service, slightly limited atmosphere due to Covid

We were very happy to be back and to see all the familiar faces again. We’ll be back on Saturday.

It was wonderful from start to finish - we were greeted at the door and shown to our table (we had booked ahead). The service was excellent as was the food. What a wonderful experience enjoying the company of relatives and not having to wear a mask! Highly recommended.

The Cote magic still there, even after being closed for six months.

This was our first visit back since our Cote reopened and as usual the food was great and we were welcomed back by some of the staff which was lovely
