Côte Welwyn Garden City

Every thing was fine! service ,staff, food ,Wine, My wife and I enjoyed a small celebration for my birthday and we will be making a further visit in the near future.

We always enjoy a girlie get together at Coté. The food is always delicious. Waiting for our lunch to be served seemed to take a long time today. So don’t go if you are in a hurry.

Definitely has a french bistro atmosphere. Staff paid us a lot of attention and remembered our special requirements. Food was excellent throughout. Price is reasonable. Definitely go back again.

Cote is my favourite restaurant in welwyn Garden City. This time I brought a friend who I haven't seen for over 40 years. He ordered the steak which he was unable to chew. A second steak was brought and was unable to be eaten either. He was given a free drink but I was very disappointed in view of the circumstances. However we both enjoyed the whitebait starter !!!! Two screaming toddlers at close quarters spoilt it somewhat.

Mum and I went for brunch for her birthday the quality of the food was excellent and the service was to. The manager gave my mum her breakfast on them which was unexpected and very lovely of them

Lovely company, delicious food, fantastic service and great atmosphere - that really says it all! We love the way the set menu changes every month, enabling us to try lots of new dishes.

Had a lovely meal here with great service . Arrived and the Manager asked if you would mind sitting at table in middle until a window seat was free and we could have a drink on house whilst we waited. 2 Kir Royales delivered once we were moved after a five minutes. Complimentary bottle of wine was also part of deal as we had signed up to Côte newsletter . Food was delicious and will visit again soon,

We got a table outside in the sunshine as we requested. The food was excellent and great value and the staff were really friendly. They could not do enough to make it a super dining experience

The waitress was very helpful and food was good. We had our dinner at 7:30pk and didn’t leave until 10:30pm. In fact we were the last customers to leave.

Staff seemed unorganised even though it wasn’t busy, waited 10 min to give drink order , food came quickly but chicken was very dry, even with sauce, not good for Tuesday we won’t be hurriback

Nice food, friendly staff, and nice surroundings. The price is reasonable. There is a good choice on the menus, including the set price lunch and dinner one.

Excellent food, wine and service. Having a monthly menu change is a great incentive to return to sample it. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Like being able to book online.

Restaurant was a bit too cold for comfort. Most customers were wearing the coats they arrived in to keep warm. Service was OK and food was good.

We have been here quite a few times now and we have never been disappointed. The staff are always friendly and food is always lovely. We would always recommend people come and try it for themselves.

The items we asked to be removed and replaced on the breakfasts were written down but not done. Food came that wasn’t wanted. Food quality as good as ever though

Myself and my friends agree we had incredible food and it was amazing value for money with the set menu. We also experienced great service from some lovely waitresses.

The atmosphere is welcoming, warm modern and lively. The food is tasty and the menu varied from month to month so one keeps getting surprised.

Although portion sizes have reduced and presentation is more relaxed food is good and staff were more relaxed than usual, can sometimes be a little pushy. Overall we like Cote and dine there at least twice a month.

Excellent service with equally excellent food and wine! We were definitely looked after, didn’t have to wait on food or drink and would revisit again. Highly recommend.

Good food but service a bit slow. Arrived at 8pm and the place was very busy but got seated straight away. Long waits between courses even though it emptied out by 9pm so we never left until after 10pm.

Lovely clean restaurant. Fantastic service by staff and a extremely delicious breakfast! The table was laid out beautifully, we had a really nice big table for all of us. Waitress was attentive always there when we needed her but didn't feel over looked which is great! Highly recommended

Pleasant atmosphere. The food was very good. Loved the Vichychoisse, steak frites, berries and white chocolate. The servers were friendly and attentive. , The ladies toilet was less impressive.

A MOST ENJOYABLE LUNCH AND VERY GOOD VALUE. SERVICE WAS GOOD WE HAVE BOOKED AGAIN FOR THE EVENING OF 27 APRIL FOR 6. PARKING IS LIMITED TO I HOUR ALONG HOWARDSGATE WHICH IS THE ONLY DOWNSIDE.

I had a lovely meal. I wouldn't have chosen a French restaurant, but I was given a gift of Cote vouchers. The staff were very obliging when I explained that I wanted to avoid garlic, and I had a very enjoyable garlic-free meal.

Welcoming, good surroundings, good service and good food. It is spacious and light too. We eat there on a regular and frequent basis and have always been content.

We turned up early and was seated happily the manager supplied a Great service and the chiefs are producing amazing food. We are guaranteed to return with family and friends

Food was all of really poor quality- French onion soup glutinous - chicken tasteless- side dishes of peas over cooked - cod grey and unappetising Service much better than food - Manager was friendly and helpful and replaced soup but the waiting service was poor Regularly eat in Cote restaurants and have never had such a poor meal

Tonight was a very busy night in the Welwyn Garden City Côte Restaurant. A great atmosphere and waitresses were very pleasant, however, the time between 1st course and 2nd was a little long, but thar fact did not spoil our evening.

Early evening meal at Cote WGC. Fish as always cooked perfectly, chicken a little on the dry side. Starters and dessert delicious. Staff friendly & attentive.

A wonderful dining experience. The staff are very friendly and the service was great. Thoroughly enjoyed the menu choices. Always well looked after and never disappointed.

Great food and good service with attentive staff. Enjoyed our food and was very tasty. Particularly enjoyed the calamari which was cooked well. Thank you Cote we will be back again soon

Enjoyed a lovely catch up and lunch with an old school friend in relaxed surroundings and wonderfully fresh food cooked to perfection! ......oh, and a glass of wine!

It was ok. Menus not as extensive as some places. Staff did what they had to. Venue and location fairly good. Would not rush back.

Food and service excellent. Were made to feel welcome and relaxed. Nothing too much trouble. Can't wait for next visit, whether breakfast or lunch, or both !

Great food as usual but the service was quite poor! There wasn’t enough waiting staff so were waiting a long time for food and ended up having to go in to the till to pay as nobody came over to us

Three of us have visited this restaurant before and the food and atmosphere is excellent. On this occasion the food was well up to scratch and enjoyed by us all. Unfortunately one point off for problems in the kitchen, which made for a very leisurely service, which actually suited us on this visit but might have been annoying at another time. We were kept informed of the problem and progress: additional food and drink was offered while we waited. I think that this was just an unfortunate occurrence and probably a one-off so I can still heartily recommend this restaurant. Anyone who has eaten in restaurants France will recognise the format and cuisine.

Was kept waiting to get my table ready even though my other guests were already seated. Waiting for 10 minutes. I think some training of staff is required. No apology from waiter. Service was slow although it was busy so understandable

Service was perfect, as always the WGC restaurant is lovely however my issue is with the menu. Almost all mains on set menu are served with potatoes either mashed, crushed or puréed, it would be nice see some variety. The main menu is seasonal but desserts never changes, that’s just lazy and very disappointing.

It was busy and the service was a little slow for the first course but it was fine by us as we were talking. Our waitress was efficient and pleasant and the food tasted good. Very pleasant. Thank you.

Had brunch - was amazing! Tried to book Bills but they were fully booked - so glad! Definitely going there again! Great service & food - good start to the day!

Excellent Service, Food & Ambience. After so many of the usual restaurant chains..its great to go to a "proper" restaurant with well a thought out menu.

Great choice on the menu lovely food and great service. Very good waitress all in all a very enjoyable evening would highly recommend a visit .

Not enough staff for Easter Sunday. Had to ask 3x for certain things. Usually excellent service so disappointing for a family meal out on Easter Sunday.

Excellent service, good atmosphere and great quality food, good value, varied menu, something for everyone even the fussiest of eaters. I have been several times and never been disappointed.

We had an enjoyable experience, the restaurant was very busy ,the food as good as usual,particularly liked the Pain Perdue! Staff cheerful and helpful as one has come to expect .

Fabulous meal and service. Lovely evening, staff friendly and efficient. Would recommend with no hesitation. Good value for money as a night out to be remembered.

We were greeted pleasantly, the restaurant was calm and clean. Even the music was not invasive. The service was attentive but not oppressive. Unfortunately my first choice on the breakfast menu was not available due to the lack of bechamel sauce. All the good served was of good quality, in fact the standard I have come to expect from Cote. The facilities were in good order.

The food was very good. Service was slow and when my main arrived it was cool, however this was appropriately dealt with by the staff.
