Excellent value and friendly staff . Very quick service despite shortage of staff and almost full restaurant. Very comfortable seating and table for seven guests.

Great service atmosphere and food. Great value fixed menu with plenty of choice. House wine a bit expensive but still a really nice meal. Well done cote.

When we had dinner in June, the portions were closer to a pub meal!! But in August - had dinner last Monday and found things have changed. Wonderful food and portions. The young man who served us was excellent.

We had a wonderful evening at Côte in WelwynGarden City. The food was superb as usual. We were a party of 4 and the 3 course meals were beautifully prepared and enjoyed by all. Service excellent!

Food is always very tasty and is excellent value. There is always a good buzzy atmosphere. Service is always very friendly and you never have to wait very long for your food.

It was lovely but unfortunately my husbands veal was cooked rare when we asked for medium. Not being used to veal we didn't know what it should be like. He didn't eat it in the end. The bill was very expensive too.

We had a lovely table, great food from the Monthly Menu. The food was very good and the main course piping hot, which is unusual these days. Very good friendly service matched the meal. Well done!

Food and wine were excellent. Ambience was a mix of modern and traditional, modern meant that there was a lot of noise from other diners. Serving staff always had a happy smile even though the food was a little tardy. I gave them 80-85% overall

The staff were pleasant and welcoming and the general level of service throughout the meal was very good. The food was of a good standard but with some variation from course to course. The starter of melon and ham was well executed. The main course of rib-eye with pepper sauce was excellent and cooked medium-to-rare as ordered. The French apple tart was totally spoiled by the puff pastry - which was like chewing gum and and lacked any puff or crispness. I returned this and it was replaced with strawberry and vanilla ice-cream .....which were both excellent. The staff commented that reordering the apple tart would probably have a similar result as the item was not "made on the premises" but, as an experienced cook, I know that frozen pastry desserts can be excellent provided the quality is good and prepared in an oven (not microwave) at the correct temperature. This was a bit strange. At nearly £45 per head including a bottle of wine I thought it borderline expensive for a "chain" meal and this was mainly due to my steak being disproportionally priced (£20) and the mark up on alcohol. We have eaten here many times and will probably do so again but I shall pay more attention to the pricing of courses.

We enjoyed our visit, our food and think the service was very good. The staff seems to be very well trained and we like visiting.

This restaurant is able to provide a consistently high standard of food in a well presented friendly manner, and at realistic prices. I would strongly recommend checking out the set menu.

Super food, served by super staff. Lovely variety of menus, their Laurelie Bergerac wine is a winner. I am particularly fond of their Breton chicken with garlic butter and side order of gorgeous French beans. We go reasonably often and the quality of food and the attention from the staff is always delightful.

Excellent ambiance with good food and service. All the staff are very polite and respectful. A great palace to eat and socialise. However the summer sun can be very glaring in the early evening and perhaps the addition of some sun awnings might prevent this.

Service a it slow but forgiven because large party spent time changing their pre-ordered meals. Otherwise very good food and service. Excellent position in central Welwyn Garden city.

Took friends to celebrate their Ruby Wedding - we had been several times before to Cote but this was their first visit. We all had a lovely meal - three courses each from the main menu and everything we ate was delicious. Can thoroughly recommend - our waitress was lovely too.

Nice food but the 12.5per cent tip put in the bill is not acceptable and puts yiu in an embarrassing situation to have to ask to take it off bill - I like to tip but it's not fair to put it directly in bulk

Staff were very nice and the food was cooked perfectly. Only down side was us not checking the bill properly as complimentary drinks were charged for and not taken off the bill. No problem with a refund the next day but annoying having to go back.

Lovely location for shopping after a relaxing breakfast in a friendly atmosphere. It was the first time I had eating breakfast at Cote Brasserie & the quality of the full cooked breakfast was excellent. We will definitely be going back to try some of the other dishes. I must also add the the fresh orange juice was one of the best I had tasted.

I took two elderly friends for lunch, having booked, and we were originally given seating with two banquettes. However my friends found the banquette seating uncomfortable and difficult so we asked for a table with chairs. Luckily there was one table available, but I must remember to book a table with chairs next time. I wanted a lime juice with soda to drink but unfortunately they had run out of soda so I had sparkling water with lime instead. The food was very good, we all had a pudding, and the service was polite and attentive. We had a nice leisurely lunch and were not rushed in any way. We shall be going back.

I find the service and atmosphere of Cote, Welwyn Garden, City to ideal and have visited the restaurant on numerous occasions for dinner,lunch, breakfast and morning coffee. The staff is friendly and helpful. The siting of the restaurant is also good. The meals/food are good although I must admit that for me I could eat a little less. Nevertheless I rate Cote of Welwyn Garden City to be excellent.

An enjoyable lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday. The Kir Royales were a much appreciated gesture from Cote and were the perfect aperitif. We have now dined at Cote Welwyn on a few occasions and have never been disappointed. The same applies to the other Cotes that we have experienced in London and Norwich. Long may this continue. The food was ok, but I wouldn't say it was too good. They were quite slow. It almost took 2 hours for a set menu.

I started with fish soup which was very good, then a very tasty steak & frites. My wife also enjoyed her main course of fish stew. Overall we had excellent food & service at a very reasonable price.

We have eaten in Cote at Welwyn Garden City many times as a couple, with friends and in large groups and can honestly say we have never chosen any dishes we did not enjoy - the menu is wide enough to give a large range of choice and the staff are always willing to adapt the dishes to suit dietary requirements - the staff are very well trained and efficient - all in all it is our favourite place in Welwyn Garden City to eat

Ran out of starters first of all, I ordered the fillet steak medium it came out very well done so sent it back to only come out again very well done a second time by this time I was so hungry we just ate our meals the manager was lovely and staff very helpful and even took it off the bill. The chef seems like he/she needs training more on how to cook steaks to the correct desire.

Lovely food. Very helpful and attentive staff. We had two young children in our party and the waitress made a big fuss of them and their requirements. Which they loved.

Friendly staff and food was good. Tuna I had was cooked as promised, portion size was right. Desert was equally pleasant. Espresso arrived before desert, not quite what I had asked for. Water for two in those bottles is not enough, might be better to bring two to the table straight away.

Had a lovely evening. The food was lovely and the service was very good. The restaurant was busy and we loved the fact that we were sat inside but with all the doors open, it felt very continental. Will definitely be going again.

We had a lovely time for my Nan's 90th birthday. Great restaurant lovely food - you get what you pay for. Only difficulty was parking nearby. Helpful staff and lovely setting. We hope to return in the future

The food was delicious. The menu is always varied and interesting. The balance of ingredients in the salad starters was spot on. Lovely combinations of flavours and beautifully prepared. Service is always excellent.
