Great atmosphere, great food, friendly service, reasonably priced. What more can I say? Well, the acoustics are good as well - important if you want to have an easy conversation with your fellow diners, and something which many restaurant I've visited fail on.

Food excellent as ever, good menu choice, and set menu great value. It’s great the set menu changes every month to provide seasonal dishes. very pleasant staff and prompt service.

Excellent food and drink, busy cheerful atmosphere, attentive service. Only mistake we made was to sit next to the window; ouch cold feet; our own fault.

We went for the Early Bird menu. One item was not available from the mains choice and no alternative was offered. Disappointing. Otherwise good service.

Absolutely pleasurable experience with quite exceptionally pleasant staff and excellent food and wine. Don't know how they do it. We find it the case everytime we visit the Coté in Welwyn Garden City.

Food good as usual service was o.k. my favourite restaurant chain I just feel that some staff must realise that they are not the most important people there

Enjoyed a really good early evening 3 course meal, served promptly with helpful happy staff. Really liked the St Chinian french red as well. Good to see some proper non branded wine on the menu

Good restaurant with pleasant and efficient staff, good food and menu which is always consistently well cooked in the cote chain: price overall is fair.

The staff were friendly and the food very good it is really good value for money they also sell none alcoholic beer wish a lot of restaurants dint

Warm welcome on arrival and good service throughout the evening. The food didn't disappoint. 4 different starters and main meals and all were of a high standard. Desserts were just as good. We were all very full when we left and already thinking of when we should go again.

Had not been to this branch of Cote before but really enjoyed it. Ate off the lunch menu which is good value. Food and service were really good and I had requested a table by the window which we got. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Very friendly service, good menu choices and nice ambience. Value for money, as well, easy and straightforward to book online, and no hanging around waiting for the bill at the end - always a bugbear.

Food, atmosphere and service spot on. Staff attentive without being too much. We had the set menu which offered good range to choose from. Portions good too. For £13.50 three courses you can’t go wrong.

The best meal we have eaten out for some time. We were welcomed on entry. The restaurant was clean & has a very pleasant ambiance. Tables are well spaced apart so we did not feel that we were sharing our conversation with the next table. The food was excellent & the service attentive & friendly. When leaving several of the staff gave us good wishes. Not sure what else we could possibly want. We will definitely return.

We were eating as a party of four but we arrived in pairs. We were greeted well and seated straight away. After waiting for the remainder of the group for over 20 minutes, we decided to call them to find out they had been seated at a different table in a different part of the restaurant! We then ordered our meals, and when they were served one of the dishes was the wrong dish. My friend had ordered pork belly and ended up having to eat the fish pie or wait 20 minutes for the pork belly and eat alone. The manager did take it off the bill without prompting but over all, not a great experience. However, the food was delicious!

Quite an unexpected buzz for mid week. Friendly & welcoming staff, attentive and helpful. Lovely dinner, although I feel the vegetable sides are overpriced and rather lack lustre and over cooked. Otherwise all good.

Food was great. Service was friendly. Only downside was that the service was slow - there didn’t seem to be enough staff. Took a while for anyone to take our order.

The food was lovely but service was terrible. We waited 40 minutes for our starter, which only arrived after we queried the delay. Again we had a very long wait for our main courses. There was no explanation and only a cursory apology. One of our party had wanted dessert but sadly we had no time for that or for coffee .....

There is not much to tell. The food is always good, the noise is mostly terrible. We asked to be moved to another table, because of 2 large parties, only to find that 2couples with babies arrived and were seated very near us. Lip reading would have come in handy.

We were a family of six celebrating a birthday and had a complimentary bottle of wine. The staff were courteous, quick and very helpful. Service was quick and food up to high standard.

Fabulous food, wonderful friendly staff who are willing and eager to answer any questions as well as indulge in some banter with you and a great atmosphere. What’s not to like :)

Another amazing 3 course meal at Cote. Had the Calamari which was cooked amazingly but a tiny bit too salty. Duck breast for main which was lovley but a tiny bit over cooked for my liking and the lemon tart for for dessert. 110% will be going back again

Great food, great service, great Sancerre. Nicely designed restaurant, always busy which shows how popular it is amongst the local residents and Welwyn Garden City visitors.

We always enjoy brunch at Cote. However were told that coffee had to be served at the same time as breakfast whereas we would prefer it when we had finished eating.

The food was excellent as always, with a great choice – the sea bass and the crème brûlée are to die for. The waitress was very competent and asked all the right questions but occasionally didn't listen to our answers, plus she never smiled and she seemed overworked. (There were very few staff in evidence and we had quite a long wait to be shown to a table on arriving.)

Visitted on a work lunchtime with limited time available: Great food and service and the plats rapide certainly came quickly which was just what we hoped for.

The service was excellent - the staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient and the food was, as usual, of a very high standard and competitively priced. All of my party thoroughly enjoyed our meal and my Birthday treat of a complimentary glass each of Kir Royale made the occasion special. I always enjoy my visits to Cote - Welwyn Garden City is my local, but I have also eaten at the Cote Brasseries in Blackheath and in Brighton - and have recommended the Cote chain to family and friends alike - and all have agreed that the quality of the food and the attentive service provided make the entire experience pleasurable.

Excellent service and food as usual. The seasonal menu gives good alternatives if you are a regular customer. But there is always something new to try from either menus.

Nice food and lovely staff. Went for husbands birthday and he really enjoyed it. Staff were attentive and waiting time wasn't long which is perfect for my husband

Staff seemed miserable as if they didn’t want to be there Not very attentive We waited 20 minutes from finishing main course before anyone came over to take plates and ask if we wanted dessert. - we didn’t bother and left

I like going there as it's a change from a lot of the restaurants in Welwyn Garden City. There is a good variety of choices on the menu and our daughter was able to find something she enjoyed from the children's menu. I would recommend going there.
