The best restaurant in Welwyn Garden City for a good quality, relaxed lunch with friends. The set menu is very good value and varies with the season. The service is attentive and professional.

Service was so quick that we barely ordered before our food arrived. It was supposed to be a nice evening out but we had 2 courses and were out within 45 mins. Disappointed.

As usual, the food was good and the service very friendly. the restaurant is very bight, airy and clean. The experience is always good whether it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Food not great. Reminds me of the line "pretentious - moi?" Trying to be Parisian dining with pre-prepared and reheated dishes rather than fresh food Service a little slow I would not rush back there

Food ok but table and overall cleanleaness not good and some items ordered were forgotten. Our past experience of Cote generally pretty average so not planning to go back

Restaurant was not busy on a Friday lunchtime. Two large tables and a scattering of others. Service in the past at Cote WGC has always been good - not today! we were dining with 2 friends. On ordering, we waited 25 mins for our starters, and a further 35 mins for mains. I asked what was going on in the kitchen, which would have prompted a supervisor to call at our table - you would think? No. Anyway the food arrived just before we walked out (hungry) and it was up to Cote standard. I paid the bill, and the supervisor apologised and - fortunately - the issue was reflected in a discount on the bill, Otherwise this review might not have been so polite. Shortage of staff in kitchen appears to have been the issue. Cote is usually better than this. Restaurant is however noisy.

We were disappointed with our last visit. I ordered the ribeye steak which was so tough that I had to send it back and order something else. This totally ruined our evening as it meant that we were unable to eat our meal together. To compound this our waitress left my sides on the table to go cold without replacing them. I couldn't be bothered to complain any further. We normally have a good experience at Cote so am hoping this was a one off.

As always an enjoyable experience/ relaxed environment with good value. Tasty food served with friendliness but professionalism

Excellent meal in good surroundings. The Special menu gives a great opportunity to enjoy two or three courses. The rib eye was one of the best my Mife had ever eaten and the Seafood Linguine was full of taste. Overall can't be faulted.

Nice ambiance. Good choice of food on the menu and the food was excellent. The waitresses and waiters were also very attentive. Will go back again.

Excellent food and service, very nice polite and friendly staff. Côte has become our favourite local restaurant. Also great to take either friends or family to.

My wife and I had a very nice meal at the Cote WGC, we were welcomed immediately and we were seated quickly in an area not surrounded by too many people. Our waitress gave excellent service and came to our table at regular intervals without being intrusive. The food was really good and my Pork Belly was especially good. The waitress recommended we did not have additional sides as the meals were large enough which was a nice touch as they were. We shared a dessert and finished the meal with getting and paying the bill quickly (which is so much better than having the bill and waiting for ages to pay by card). Overall we had a lovely evening and will be coming again.

We had a lovely meal on Wednesday evening, we ordered from the Prestige Menu, and all the food was perfectly cooked, all washed down with a nice bottle of red wine to accompany our meal. Nice plea sent service from the waiting staff, we will be back

Just right for entertaining our friends before the theatre. The evening set Premium menu was excellent. Good, polite service as always. We will be back.

Great service. Excellent food. Only trouble for me, as I have to wear hearing aids, is the noise level. More soft furnishings would help absorb noise.

A great evening - my other half and I were well satisfied by dinner at Cote in Welwyn Garden City: great food and drink (nice to have non-alcoholic beer on offer), good service - and a great price. Can thoroughly recommend.

The waitress wasn't very attentive nor very enthusiastic either unfortunately. We will definitely be back though as we will soon be locals and the food is excellent and the prices are extremely reasonable.

The service was a bit slow to kick in for this booked lunch for two - perhaps something to do with it being a Monday. However, once our orders had been taken everything went very smoothly. Delicious food at sensible prices - both the seafood pasta dish and the Boeuf bouguignon are recommended. Nice friendly service.

Good was cold and had to ask for toast 3 times and it never even turned up! Other than that it was okay. Wouldn't go back in a hurry.

Lovely choice of dishes on lunchtime summer menu. Service was excellent and atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable. Look forward to returning soon. Great value for money.

The weekday set menu, order before 7pm is delicious and good value for money. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere and the service is good.

More expensive than other places locally but it is worth it. The food is lovely and the staff are great. Good gluten free choice. Dodgy music though!

We ate here on a very sunny hot evening. There are many tables outside to sit and eat or drink as many were doing We sat inside at my sons request. Food was excellent as usual . We had been to the Hsmstead and StAlbans Cote and Welwyn did not disappoint. Nice relaxed French decor .Good atmosphere. I had Steak frites , really good. My husband had sirloin that he was very happy with . Only shame was they had no Moules left ( my sons favourite) Staff are good to sites highly recommend

As always, the food was delicious, the service very friendly and the atmosphere pleasant, but I'm not keen on the price rises reflected in the lunch specials now having two-tier pricing. Also, when I asked for tartar sauce to go with the salmon, the waiter neglected to mention that I'd be charged £1.95 for a small dish of 'sauce béarnaise'.

Whilst the staff were pleasant, I can’t give it a better score as the steak was definitely more well done than medium rare (no pink at all) which i’m not keen on as you don’t get the full flavour. And then we were given pudding menus and it just took too long for them to come and take the order, after at long time we managed to catch someone’s eye and just asked for the bill (that would have been four puddings and another round of drinks we’d have ordered if the service had been a little more attentive).

We had a wonderful time at Cote WGC. The service was as great as normal and the food was delicious. My wife had her family over from france so we decided that your restaurant was the best place to go and you did not disappoint. We will return!

Great food as always. Bit noisy by window downstairs, next time will go to upper deck or set to right of front door. Nobody seem to want our payment , Went to till, one of I think senior managers, was more interested in eating his lunch nearby and eventually young waitress got a manager to deal with us Since she was told to go and serve food. A bit disconcerting for three mature ladies who are generally good customers at your cote restaurants around the country.

The service wasn't great had to ask for more drinks. The pate started tasted really odd and strange with the sweet bread. Paid the gratuity without realising. Waited a long time for mains after starters. Will not be returning.

Cote is a really good chain restaurant and I have always had a great experience whenever I have visited any of their restaurants. Maja and her team were brilliant on Saturday, and will definitely visit again and at St. Albans.

As expected, an enjoyable and value for money meal. Service was friendly and efficient - despite the restaurant being extremely busy and staff rather stretched. Would certainly visit again.

The staff are lovely and with a baby in tow, nothing was too much trouble. The menu is varied, including a number of dishes to suit all tastes; I found it difficult to choose. Eventually, I decided on the beef bourguignon which melted in the mouth.

We had to wait to be asked if we wanted drinks, then ask again as the waitress forgot one, one dinner didn't show up and it was obvious they had forgotten it but lied and said it was still being cooked. Since when has cod taken longer to cook than chicken? They did offer to waive it from the bill but only when we complained rather than proactively. A couple of the waitresses could do with a course in Customer Service to be fair, only the last waitress that took our money was polite in any way!

Restaurant has friendly staff and you’re made to feel very welcome. Service is great and relaxed. Food was really good as always we had the full English

Enjoyable early evening meal. Reasonable value from the set menu, good food & good service in a pleasant atmosphere. I would recommend Cote & will return in future.

Just had a dinner there with a friend, we both had the pork belly and it was really tasty, deserts were great too, plus very attentive service, will definitely visit again. 👍

Lovely meal but a bit of a delay between starter and mains but the manager made a very small discount as a very kind gesture. We hadn't even mentioned the delay as we were bust chatty anyway!

Cote is a great Restaurant for good quality food for the price. It sometimes gets crowded so this time we tried 5:00 on a Sunday and it worked well. We had good service and a quiet relaxed atmosphere with the expected good food.
