Staff as always very friendly and polite. Ambience lovely. Food was ok, could have been hotter. Only given half a cup of coffee and no milk , but situation quickly rectified by manager. I will return.

Very nice venue,great,tasty food and friendly and helpful staff.Nice place for a relaxing lunch/ dinner with family or friends.Also,good choice of vegetarian dishes.We'll be back again.

Food was great, very tasty and hot, but attention to service towards the end of the meal was very slow and we left without dessert having waited for our plates to be cleared. However that said will not stop us returning!

Our waitress had limited people skills, food was mediocre for the prices charged and the irish coffees looked like lattes. Disappointing experience compared to previous visits.

My second visit and not at all disappointed. All aspects excellent. Minute steak very tender and beautifully cooked. Chips good and hot and st E G&T lovely.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal from the new prestige set menu - always a good service with a smile - we were not rushed. Good wine list.

Lovely get- together with friends. We enjoyed a tasty meal of chicken and steak from the a la carte menu with tomato and green salads. The restaurant was comfortably cool in this hot weather and we had the service with a smile !

Friendly staff. Prompt unobtrusive service. We were there for breakfast on a Sunday morning and by the time we left there were several other tables filled so there was a pleasant buzz without it being over busy. Lovely granola with yoghurt and berries.

Food was excellent. Choices on menu good too. Bit difficult trying to get staff’s attention though. Had a great time though. One of my favourite restaurants.

As always at Cote, very good service, excellent range and quality of food and drink (this time complimentary gin and to) and extremely good value.

Excellent food served in generous amounts, polite, helpful and knowledgeable waiting staff, varied menu with something for everyone and a well priced wine list with a lot of choice. An enjoyable experience.

Great food and excellent service. The charcuterie starter was particularly fine and the duck confirm from the specials was amazing. Will definitely be coming back again

We went here for brunch. The food was very tasty but a bit overpriced for what we got. Didn’t find it particularly family friendly either. They didn’t have any colouring in for the children, so we asked for a pen and paper at least, but the waitress didn’t look impressed and never got back to us. I’ve been here before for lunch and dinner and enjoyed it, but this was the first time going with children and I probably won’t be going back with them. Quite disappointed.

Good service and really nice food and wine also helped that they have large glass doors which were open creating a lovely breeze ... most enjoyable experience.

Lovely meal as usual, great ambience and service. The only negative was a very loud table of 8 rowdy women with little regard to their fellow diners ( our waiter did offer to move us).

Hi, we are regular visitors and it’s either weekday evening or afternoon. We promised our Father visiting from New Zealand a lovely meal as usual. The restaurant wasn’t busy we had a choice of seat but pushed to an area of no ambience. The food was plonked on plates and not cooked as well as usual, very disappointed and will break now until we hear of better results.

Have dined here a few times and have always enjoyed it. On this occasion - One flute and one wine glass offered for the sparkling wine. Was told that there were no clean flutes - but the one brought was dirty. Probably better to have brought 2 clean wine glasses the first time and checked that they weren't still warm from the washer. Wine wasn't chilled enough either. Food was well presented and tasted as expected but a strong smell of cigar smoke kept wafting in from the open door and put my guest off eating. Perhaps turning on the air conditioning and keeping the door closed would have been an idea on such a humid evening. Still worthy of another visit.

Good food as always and good value. This visit only let down by very hard, chewy bread with the chicken liver parfait and rather abrupt manner of our waitress. Also when paying our bill by card she used our card contactlessly without asking our permission first.

Excellent meal, chose the 2 course early evening menu as was off to the cinema, very prompt service and food was fabulous. Our waiter was friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble.

We ordered from the early set menu, three courses - very good value and very tasty. The starter and main were particularly good. I would highly recommend the set menu, especially if you prefer smaller portions but do not want to compromise on taste.

All fine. Nice quiet area of the restaurant to be able to look at papers over dinner. Food and service excellent as usual. Enjoyed a couple of glasses of Kir Royale to start.

We often come to Cote in WGC and it never fails our expectations. The staff are polite, friendly and not intrusive. The food is always served in a timely manner and the quality is very good. Customers are not rushed in any way even at busy times. Needless to say, we would recommend and will certainly be back.

Good food well cooked. Staff pleasant and well trained. We had a bit of a wait as restaurant seemed short staffed, but overall a good experience.

always enjoy the food. staff and ambience of this restaurant. its always our first choice when looking for somewhere nice to eat. the free cocktail was a welcome extra too.

Very enjoyable evening as usual. We had sea bass and it was delicious and nicely presented. The service was also very good and the staff very personable.

Lovely as ever. Wasn't given complimentary bottle of water but we didn't need it so didn't ask for it. Liked the new smaller menu for Mondays to Fridays. Food was lovely as always.

This is a nice restaurant and the food is pleasant and well-cooked. However the service is consistently very slow even when the restaurant is not busy.

I have been to Cote a number of times and it never disappoints. Great choice of menu and all the food was flavoursome. The only reason I gave it a 5 was because it was a hot night and there was no air conditioning and by the end of the meal I was feeling rather hot.

Interesting summer menu, but all the old favourites there too. The restaurant was cool even though it was the hottest day of the year so far. The staff were pleasant and efficient as usual.

Excellent food as usual, however service was a bit slow, especially considering it wasn't quite so busy when we arrived. Our waitress kept apologising for the wait, and what was meant to be a quick set menu lunch for 2, took almost 1h30m.

Usually Côte's food is consistently delicious, but this time the plaice on the set meal was very poor – bland and tasteless. Otherwise, the lunch was great – the restaurant was buzzy, service was good and the sea bass from the à la carte menu was delicious.

We visited Cote Welwyn Garden City for a Formule breakfast. The vegetarian option with poached eggs and avocado was superb. Sitting outside in the sunshine made it a perfect experience and the staff were great. Definitely recommend.

Nice restaurant, very clean with good ambiance. I reserved a table online which was fine and we were seated a few minutes after arriving. The food was ok for the money however it took a long time to be served. We had to wave someone down to order a drink and sat for ages before taking our dessert order. We were in no rush but I wouldn’t go there if I was really hungry as they are slow even for a Tuesday evening.

Great food and there is plenty of choice between set menus and a la carte. Given a lovely welcome and service was very good. Very pleasant lunch and would not hesitate to recommend

Great service. Went for breakfast. I was a bit unhappy with how they’d done my poached eggs and they offered to re-do without any fuss - they arrived second time absolutely perfect. We had a lovely breakfast by the open window.

Food always lovely, had brunch, the vegetarian breakfast comes with avocado and spinach which I love so I always get that even though I’m not a vegetarian! Also had a free complimentary cocktail for me and my friend, all round excellent service as always

We always have a fantastic meal here but unfortunately it is getting too popular now!! We went on Wednesday evening about 7ish and it was heaving which meant that the staff found it difficult to cope. Not really their fault, especially in the heat, but it was really noticeable when the service is normally excellent. It won't stop us going!

Excellent atmosphere again. Staff and management make a big effort to make customers welcome and comfortable. I would have given a 6 but there was a delay ( on the cusp of being unacceptable) between starter and main course . We will of course be back!

Pleasant welcome, glass doors were open which added to the continental vibe of cafes on the street. Lovely and cool inside, not too busy but people all around which for 1430 was surprising but added to ambience. Food and service as always of high standards.

Food and wine perfect but had to wait over 30 minutes before getting our aperitifs as restaurant was so busy. As the evening went on the service improved.

Cote never fails! Great food, menu always new and tempting, proper skilled serving staff and a friendly manager! What more do you want! We’ll be back.

We always enjoy our cote experience everything went well. Food was very tasty it’s a very clean and friendly restaurant works well when you can go there after seeing a film or show at campus West.
