Côte Welwyn Garden City

A very very VERY busy Sunday morning, staff whilst rushed of their feet remained professional and courteous through out, very impressed and also very full with a wonderful breakfast. The staff all deserve a pat on the back for coping today!

Been many times with excellent service and food. Sadly, last night the food was nearly cold and the noise level was, for us, to high marring the evening.

Lovely atmosphere, excellent service and nicely cooked food. Not overly expensive either.

We were a party of eight. Overall we were very well looked after and had a very enjoyable evening. The speed of service was judged well to allow us time to enjoy the evening, whilst keeping us fed and watered

Quite busy on a warm Friday evening but the staff coped very well. The usual high food standard is maintained.

Normally we have a good meal and although our main meal was lovely the only reason I have given a 4 star was the disappointed tomato starter. Both mine and my guest's heritage tomato starter was bland and the sourdough bread so hard we had difficulty in cutting it. In addition, there was a long wait from starter to main meal hence why I deducted a star but the food was excellent.

Beautiful food,the swordfish was particularly good! The service couldn’t have been better, a very personal service which helped towards an excellent experience. Highly recommended!!!!

There were 9 at our table and the service as always was great. Good really lovely. Friends had never eaten in Cote before but will certainly go again.

We arrived and straight away we were welcomed and shown to our table in the window. Then we had our welcome drink and then our meal was served. We both enjoyed our meals very much with the water provided. Our waitress was learning and a very efficient head waiter helped her.

We were sat straight away as a last minute booking. Sat outside which was busy but not too crammed together. Lovely atmosphere watching the works go by and chatting casually. We waited a little too long to order drinks but they did then arrive quickly as did our food. Food was lovely and good service through until we wanted to the bill. Overall a good experience as usual.

We've just had an absolutely delicious meal at Cote in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. We couldn't fault anything and will definitely be returning in the near future. The decor was lovely and sitting in the window with the doors open was delightful. Also, the staff were very friendly. Highly recommended!!

Had a fabulous dinner. Always difficult when you have a one and two year old but the staff helped by bringing deserts early for the children and ensuring our dinner was served as quickly as they could before our boys decided it was time to go home. Food was amazing as always.

Free Kir Royals, Birthday desert came out with a Candel and then they gave us a birthday discount! Amazing service and beautiful food.

Amazing food, the menu had a great choice and complementary drinks are always a bonus.

We were there’s celebrating a friends birthday and were looked after well. The free glass of bubbly was a lovely touch. Food was great.

We had a delicious meal at our local Cote- great staff and friendly, efficient service. The doors were open so we were able to enjoy the warm evening and look over Parkway and the fountain. The food and wine was up to the usual high standard and the complimentary kir royales were a treat. Highly recommended!

My husband and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary and we could not have been more pleasantly surprised when we were showed to our table to find a complimentary bottle of bubbly waiting for us! Top service from all the staff from the lady who showed us to our table and the two members of the waiting staff who took our order and delivered our food! The atmosphere of the place was great and we never had to wait too long for anything. The service pace was spot on and we never felt rushed either. We both ordered from the specials menu and absolutely enjoyed our courses. Would absolutely recommend both for a casual meal out and a special celebration!

Always good. Different staff today but they were lovely. Chateaubriand was excellent. Maybe have it on the menu more often?

I'm a regular visitor but yesterday's lunch with a friend who was a first time visitor wasn't good. Initially slow to take order. Starters were fine, but my.msin course potatoes arrived undercooked and not resembling new potatoes as described. They were skin off and boiled, but not for longer enough. The meal was replaced, but of course my friend had finished her food by the time I begun mine.

The food was such a let down this evening. Chicken very dry and sea bream soaked in too much oil. Overall very disappointed

Well looked after and delicious food although the portion of Sea Bream on the special lunch menu was rather small.

Our first time and it won’t be our last. We went for lunch and hadn’t appreciated that breakfast was available up to 1pm at the weekend (how sensible is that!). One of us had breakfast (excellent, good quality and equally good value) and the other chose from the main menu. Again excellent in all respects. The staff were lovely, very friendly and attentive and a the restaurant has a nice atmosphere in a good location.

Food ok but so noisy couldn’t have a decent conversation.

Service incredibly slow. They weren't busy, but it,was over twenty minutes before anyone took our order. We watched another couple walk out

In general an enjoyable experience.Food and its presentation was good.I felt the price of starters was a little high,a good selection of main courses was available. The service pleasant and efficient.

We have previously dined at various Cote establishments, sometimes as a couple, sometimes with friends and have always enjoyed the experience. On this occasion at WGC everything again was enjoyable apart from a waiting time in excess of one hour thirty minutes. We brought this to the attention of the staff who said they would inform the manager whom we didn't meet. Another member of staff informed us there was a further five minute wait, whilst we could see the restaurant was busy and appreciate that at such times a reasonable delay sometimes happens, on this occasion we found it unacceptable, especially as we were not given any explanation of why there was a delay.

Had a lovely celebratory lunch at Cotes, service and food really good!

Celebrating my birthday - it was a busy night but we were well catered for

Lunch with a friend. Surprisingly busy but good food and a nice natter with my mate without being rushed.

We went out and had a nice dinner taking advantage of the set menu. Good service and value for money.

We went to this Cote restaurant for breakfast and enjoyed it so much. Must go back soon!

Service got off to a very, very slow start but wasn’t ok after that.
