Great service, good food and lovely atmosphere. I look forward to going with friends again. Our order was taken promptly and throughout the evening staff were very attentive.
Great food and brilliant service. But it was so hot in the restaurant. Really uncomfortable. My two companions and I were glistening with sweat...so unpleasant. Also where we were sitting was too noisy, making it hard to hear what each other was saying. They really need to do something about the way nouse carries in the restaurant and turn down the heat (or have air conditioning)). Such a pity as the food was so delicious and the waiters so pleasant and friendly.
Always a wonderful meal at Cote - superb food and lovely ambience. Also good selection of gluten free and vegetarian meals. Portions for the 2/3 course lunch or early dinner menu are not huge, but still extremely reasonable given the quality and price.
This was the best meal we have ever had in Cote, allways the food and service is very good for the price, but last Saturday it was very good
Fantastic kir royals, asparagus was tasty and delicious. Pea and mint risotto with rocket and grated parmesan=superb lunch, wonderful ambience, fantastic birthday lunch with good friends.
I find the restaurant produces and delivers good honest French cuisine without being pretentious. Staff attentive and pleasant, thus making the simplest of meals a delightful experience.
Food good, reasonably priced, but service charge high and cheeky. Service was not that good, rather slow actually. Also, dessert was not cook to order, crumble takes at least 15 mins to cook!
Excellent service and very efficient despite being busy. The food, as always, was perfectly cooked and presented. The management were always on the ball and very friendly.
Fantastic meal - steak cooked perfectly to our request and super friendly service - we will be back for more! Rewards scheme works well - lovely bottle of Cote de Rhone
Very good service from all staff. Food excellent & plentiful. Very nice atmosphere in restaurant. Good choice of starters & mains & good price structure
Good value pre theatre menu. There was enough choice on the menu. Quality of food was very good and the glass of wine I had was of a good standard. Would definitely go back.
Once again great experience at cotes, seated very quickly and had a lovely breakfast. This time we did have to wait sometime for the food to arrive.
My wife and I dine at Côte Brasserie, Tunbridge Wells regularly – we find the food, ambiance and customer service excellent, and reasonably priced. Our favourite table is number 57!
enjoyed my visit, food and service was very good. However I don't understand" this "minimum 25 words business.I don't need 25 words ,so I won't be bothering thinking up 25 words again
A very good meal at a reasonable price. Very attentive and friendly staff. A good atmosphere. Would recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.
As usual the set lunch menu provided great value and very tasty dishes. Service friendly as we have come to expect. Overall this Cote branch in Tunbridge Wells never disappoints.
Fast and efficient service with lovely food and good value for money. The restaurant was in a great location close to the theatre we were going to after. Would definitely use again and recommend.
Great food and service. Pleasant staff always make for a more enjoyable experience, no complaints here. Food quality is always good and a menu that suits whatever food mood you might be in!
Lovely food, good service, slightly too warm in there, some of the tables too close together. Otherwise, very good meal, and will definetely returning! They will change things on the menu, to suit your needs, to a degree. Would recommend to anybody.
Service was slightly slow which did pose a bit of a problem as we really had to rush to get to the theatre in time but the food was outstanding. Great fun atmosphere. Would recommend.
The serving person after the waiter had taken the order was pleasant but didn't know what he was serving to us on a plate. We had 2x duck liver pate he told is it was salmon. We booked a table for 6.30. we had an 11 year old. He only had a main. We finished our food but it took over 40minutes to go through the payment process didn't leave till after 8pm. By which time my son had got a headache and needed to go straight to bed due to waiting so long.
I have never had a bad experience at Cote. The food is always excellent and good value for money and the staff are helpful and courteous.
Food was good but fish pie had been better previously. Lamb was cooked well. Desert was very good, especially the Tart au citron which was a highlight. Would happily go back. One of our favourite restaurants.
The food as always was very good, but despite reserving a table for 5, it wasn't setup. There was also an old napkin on the floor and some dropped food (presumably from the previous customer). The service was slow and the waiters were not very attentive. It's only a small thing but, we ordered 5 Kia Royales and every one was a different colour and size! Lack of attention to detail. The table was also wobbly which made it difficult to balance the tall classes on the table without them tipping over. A waiter eventually tried to stabilise the table, which helped a bit. We still enjoyed the meal, but it's the little things that can spoil a good night out.
We went for breakfast and had very tasty food and good coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful. A very enjoyable time away from the normal pressure of things. A great way to start our day.
Really nice food. Service good. They are welcoming to women on their own.Went with two friends and loved it. Thank you cote for a nice evening.
The food was very good, but spoilt by the lack of attention to detail, ie lipstick on glasses! Generally staff were attentive and efficient .
Excellent food and service. Had a voucher for free wine which was a brilliant deal! Would recommend Cote in Tunbridge Wells and will definitely go there again
We were given a table near the door which was too draughty, they moved us without fuss. Suggest they find a better way of keeping the door open than wine buckets. Great restaurant!
Average. Asparagus sauce had too much ginger in it. Steak and chips looks very sad with no garnish I hate having service charge added is should be my choice.
Execellent service and great value for money- good choice of breakfast and very well presented. Was cooked to perfection and all served in good time.
The food was lovely and the service was great and coped with us taking ages to make our minds up admirably. It would be even better if there were more vegetarian options though.
Excellent service and food. The early evening menu very good value and varied choice on the menu. Venue very close to theatre. Suggest booking on theatre nights.
Service was quite slow. Staff very nice. It was very busy. I had a fillet steak but it was clearly a sirloin with majority of the fat cut off. Wanted it rare but it was more like medium rare. Tasted ok but was not as tender if it had been a fillet. Quite disappointed to be honest.
Food was of a high standard and the atmosphere good. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was busy and there was a delay with the food which was unusual but not an issue- would recommend
It was a great experience as always. We always find the food and service to be of highly consistent on every occasion and will be back soon ! Bob Folley
Pre theatre food - food was fine but we had to wait an age for it and didn't have time to eat it when it arrived. The manager apologised and deducted the cost of our starters from the menu. It's annoys me when restaurants continue to accept bookings and seat people when the kitchen is unable to deal with the volume of customers in a timely manner.
Good service & atmosphere, and very nice food. Some of our plates were cold, so the food went cold very quickly, but overall it's a great place to eat out.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. We will certainly will visit again. The only prblem we had, was that sitting by the window in the smaller of the two rooms,we were aware that smoke from two smokers sitting outside was pervading into the area where we were sitting. However, there was no problem about changing our table.
Our booking was correct and the staff were very welcoming. The food and drinks were great - especially the scollop starter. A most pleasant Sunday lunch.
Would have been perfect if service wasn't so slow. Food was very good but had to wait too long and had to rush to finish in time for concert.
Excellent food as always and good value for money. Main waiter was attentive but when he left for the night we were left, would have had coffee if we'd have been asked but just went for the bill when we finally got someone's attention.
As always, we started our meal with a glass of wine for me and a Rickard for my husband. steak and frites were piping hot and perfect. My husband had chicken, also very good.😁 Excellent lunch we will be back soon.
Pre theatre meal so naturally it can be a bit rushed. Food and service fine but did have to remind them several times that we were on a time limit. Given the restaurant is very close to 2 theatres I would have hoped they were a little more on top of this. Our table was upstairs so better from a noise point of view as downstairs was packed.
Excellent service, with impeccable staff, who exemplify good knowledge of the menu and great customer service. Coupled with consistently good food and a decent wine menu it is perfect for both a business lunch or a more personal get together.
The restaurant has a very pleasant, amenable atmosphere on entering, which is further enhanced by the friendly welcome given by the staff. Having pre booked ( a necessity due to its popularity) one is quickly shown to a table and quickly asked if drinks are required as one considers the extensive and varied menu . One can recommend the delicious walnut and chicken salad but no matter what one chooses, one will not be disappointed . starters , Main courses and puddings are all reasonably priced and all delicious. The resulting bill is always reasonable considering the exquisite tastings one has just experienced . All in all, well recommended !!
I usually love the food at Cote but today I left quite a lot. I am vegetarian and usually the food is lovely but the couscous dish didn't work and the pissaladiere starter wasn't quite right either. We had the Kir Royale offer but it was room temperature. I had invited two friends who had the sea bass - they didn't comment but they were initially given the wrong starters so I was well into mine before the right ones arrived. All in all nowhere near up to the usual Cote standard.
Loved it (although the service can be very slow). The table we had was quite small and was difficult to fit all our plates on. None of the staff thought to remove surplus glasses. Foos is great!
Food ok, menu never seems to change. Service was slow especially at the end. Had to go to the counter to pay - no servers available to bring bill or aware we were waiting.
The staff are superb. Even though it is always busy and you may need to wait at the door ... you are always acknowledged while you wait. Phone calls are answered promptly and booking staff are friendly and accommodating on the phone. We keep going back again and again because every experience surpasses expectations. The last visit was a lunchtime outside in glorious sunshine which was a real bonus. Oh ... and the food and wine are divine!
