Côte Tunbridge Wells

As always very good food and service at a most reasonable price. A winner!!!! I have never been to Cote TWells and found the place sparsely populated. Surely a great recommendation in itself!!

Polite and very friendly staff, very attentive. Good very tasty food. Tip is added to bill but the menu says it goes to staff so don't mind paying it.

Our overall experience? A definite '6'. We ate fairly late on a Sunday evening in our local Cote but the atmosphere was still pleasant. The staff members were friendly and polite; the food we ordered fresh and tasty. We like Cote.

Good ambience and service was friendly with a smile. Belly of pork was just right, but accompanying veg and seasoning was a bit bland. Steak was very good. Overall a decent meal which we enjoyed and we will go back.

Four of us had breakfast which proved to be delicious. Two had the full English, one had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, and one had the sausage baguette. All were excellent, as was the service, the coffees and the endless tap-water.

Good food and good value. Was a bit quiet. We had a free bottle of wine as part of our “deal”, but it was only barely drinkable!

I had the pork belly and it was over seasoned. Very disappointed as this is one of my favourite meals. The crackling was soft and very salty and the ‘sauce’ was very peppery. My partner’s fish ‘pie’ was ok.

Very friendly attentive staff. Food was lovely and we very much enjoyed our time in the restaurant. Very clean and despite being very noisy with very loud children being allowed to behave just as they wished without parental control we still enjoyed our time.

I would prefer a loyalty card. Free bottle of wine is not an incentive when you have menu deals, cheaper to have that and buy glasses of wine!

Good service from moment of entering restaurant. Nice touch with Kir Royale link with theartre. Early starter menu choice good as was mains definitely recommend the seafood linguine

As usual the set three course lunch provided excellent value. The food was all well cooked and the service was attentive and timely. We shall keep coming back.

The staff were helpful and friendly, Ambience was good. My steak was not good but I was recompensed for that. My two companions had sea bass and both thoroughly enjoyed it. Will have no problem visiting again. Thanks Anna for being so considerate.

Great service especially as we were with elderly parents. lovely food. Nice atmosphere. They need slightly bigger round tables. Round tables allow better conversation especially for hearing impaired!

Good food, a free bottle of wine and very attentive staff. The best for me is the way that the menu and the staff are very helpful with a guest who is gluten free. Because of this, Cote Tunbridge Wells is my first choice in the town.

Very nice but the service was a bit slow. Very good staff. We took the offer of a free bottle of wine with 2 mains but felt they were being slow so we would have to buy another bottle - which we didn’t. Food was fab but did feel it was rather expensive especially as we had a free bottle.

Another great meal at Cote. Service excellent, food even better. If you havent already been then go soon, you wont be sorry. We will be back in February.

Food was good but had to send one of the steaks back for being underdone. Staff were polite and compensated appropriately which was much appreciated.

Food was fine, nothing amazing but as expected and described. Service was terrible. We were left waiting an extremely long time to order both starters and mains, and desserts. The waiter obviously wasnt listening properly, and this was noticeable so we repeated a few items that we ordered which we didnt think they had heard us say, and they still didnt turn up and we had to ask a third time. Empty glasses were ignored and not taken away, even when asked they never returned to remove them.

This restaurant is pretty consistent and we usually get a decent meal here. This time was no exception. However, the food could have been hotter. It was pretty busy so I assume it had to wait a while to get to our table. If it had of been any colder I would have sent it back but it was still delicious.

Good service, delicious food, nice atmosphere. Wide choice of dishes, lovely cafe late. A terrific Sunday lunch experience made great by the free bottle of wine!

Really great service and lovely friendly staff who provided very efficient service. Whilst i try to be adventurous with menu I don't think you cant beat the steak frites and creamed spinach - food as always delicious!

High standard of food and service. Overall good value. Pity that 12.5% service is automatically added to the bill. Tables are sadly too close together for a really relaxing meal.

We had booked a table for 5.30 pm but actually completed our shopping half an hour earlier so went into Cote to enquire if we could possibly have a table and this posed no problem at all. By this time my friend and I were desperate for a glass of wine so ordered this immediately and it was brought straight away. The starters of Salt Cod and Pate were really nice and we both had the Steak with Frites which was amazing. We were both very sorry that we had to cut our visit short in order to catch the last bus home!! All in all a very good experience with a great ambience and faultless waiting service.

A lovely family meal. Food was good and more substantial than I was expecting. The staff were attentive and accommodating. I liked the ambience . Will definitely return.

The service and food were excellent. Our daughter, who was celebrating her birthday, was both surprised and delighted to receive a suitable sweet and happy birthday sung by the waitresses. A lovely evening, we will be back again soon.

Really good food- chose from their lunch time 2 course menu and found there to be a good choice and value for money, good service.

Usual good service. Unaware that the 3 course special lunch is not available at weekends but a good meal nevertheless plus the added. Bonus of a glass of Kir Royale as it was my birthday!

Used to love Cote but it's really gone downhill. Food was mediocre, service slow and they weren't even busy. Won't be going back any time soon.

We enjoyed a very pleasant ‘pick-me-up’ evening after Christmas, a treat to have an evening off cooking! An excellent meal at sensible prices and even a free bottle of wine this time . Always a pleasure to eat here where the standard is reliable.

What can I say excellent food staff attentative will certainly be going back. Lovely bottle of Pinot noir which worked well with the starter and main course.

The Tunbridge Wells branch of Cote offers, as do other branched, excellent value for money from the set menu. The fact that it was completely full over the lunch period is testimony to its appeal.

Fantastic value for money meal but wine a bit expensive ( £10.50 for large glass Chablis). Service very good. We both had the steak and chips with extra salad, very tasty.

We were given our starters. We did not have chance to eat this, then the staff gave us our main. The whole experience was that we felt rushed. Previously I have dined at Cote in Tunbridge Wells during the day and it has been fine. This time I was very disapointed. My friend and I wanted to have a relaxing experience, unfortunately this did not happen.

Good food but service was mixed - one member of staff was excellent and attentive but the other was not, forgetting things like water and not taking much care

An excellent evening’s dining on New Year’s Eve. Well thought out menu with a variety of choices, we had the vegetarian option which was delicious. Service & friendliness of staff was exemplary, they all worked very hard & kept smiling!

We were greeted with a warm welcome. Service throughout our time was excellent with some recommendations and advise on food choice as one of our party has allergies. The food was excellent and prices reasonable although I did think wine was a bit overpriced. Having dined at "Cote's in Marlow, Brighton and now twice in Tunbridge Wells I think this is my favourite of the three. Well done staff and management.

Lovely food and lovely staff. When it is busy, it can feel quite cramped here, but on a Tuesday night there were just a few tables booked so we weren’t too close to anyone. The food was great- we all went for the Steak frites- and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Will be dining here again for sure.

Very good except for tuna starter which was very dry. Everything else was good and we all enjoyed the experience.Thank you. It was our friends first visit.

Always excellent food and service. So convenient for the theatre and town centre. First choice every time. We love the steak frites!! Moules are delicious too!

We had a delicious meal. Excellent service. Good value for money. There is a lovely atmosphere in the Tunbridge Wells restaurant. The manageress was helpful and we will return again soon.

Staff were friendly but food slow. All but one main course brought out and needed to wait 15mins for the last one. Whilst waiting for the last one, everyone’s meals cooled down. Steak (in both the steak frites and fillet) were not up to their usual standard. Both were quite tough and the fillet was over cooked.

Great evening - set menu was excellent and service was good throughout the evening. Would have been nice to have had a little background music. Majority of our party eat in this branch regularly; however we had some newbies who were equally impressed. Thanks

The food tonight was good. However The waiter who laid the cutlery on the table between courses had his mind elsewhere his approach and positioning was sloppy.

Excellent service and excellent food. Lots of choice nice drop of wine . I had calamari and my main was fish casserole . We will definitely be back.
