Very busy pre show due to proximity to Assembly Theatre. Food and service were fine. Tables rather close together, which did make talking difficult. A reasonable Cotes.

The only reason not to give 6 is because tables weren’t cleared quickly enough to be able to offer customers the best restsurant tables on arrival. Those hadn’t been cleared. So we had a poor table. Food and service very good though.

Was busy and quite noisy when we arrived about 5 minutes early. Greeted pleasantly and taken to our table for 6. Menus distributed. Drinks ordered. Every thing fine. Food was great. Good selection. A touch slow to arrive, but we understood as busy before Theatre. 6 happy dinners.

Even though we had booked we were ushered to one of the worst seats .It was Sat so appreciate they were busy Our food came on a plate too small so chicken was hanging over the edge. My companion thought her chicken to be jellyish and her beans stringy I have had the chicken there before and must say it wasn’t as good this time However my beans were not stringy and potatoes were fine Companion says she will never go again

Great meal and efficient service as we were going to the theatre. Steak and frites from the before 6pm menu was tender preceded by a very nice warm tiger prawn salad.

We booked a table for a pre-theatre dinner some 2 hours before the show start time. Unfortunately we had to ask three times for someone to come and take our order, and when they did it was 45 minutes later. Knowing time was marching on we then had to ask for someone to come and clear our starter plates so the Kitchen would know we were ready for our main course. That arrived 45 minutes before our show started so we had to rush it, and had no time to order dessert or coffee. The only thing tat arrived quickly was the bill! As far as the food was concerned one of our party had a vegetarian Butternut Squash Cake main course that they said was very nice. Three had the minute steak from the pre-theatre "before 7pm menu" which was described on the menu as "Steak Frites (2,00 supplement), chargrilled thinly beaten out minute steak served pink with frites and garlic butter". I'm not sure whether the Chef was wearing rose tinted spectacles but all three "minute" steaks were very brown, overcooked, and quite tough. Unfortunately as we were then extremely tight for time we didn't have time to challenge the bill as we were late for the Theatre. Very disappointed in this restaurant experience.

Thank you all for making my birthday very special. The food was delicious, the kir royale a real treat, the service was excellent and the special pudding yummy. And then you gave me some beautiful flowers, how very thoughtful and a real surprise. Speechless!!

It was the first day of the new Prestige set menu so thought we’d try it. It’s an excellent addition to the already first class choice offered by the other two menus. The food was delicious, great value and the service professional; prompt, courteous and always with a smile. We have never failed to enjoy dining at Côte Tunbridge Wells and most heartily recommend it.

We had the fish cakes and the steak fritters from the special menu accompanied by 2 side orders. The side orders, peas and carrots were a little on the small side, and we had to ask for extra. We went there about 3 o'clock on a Friday afternoon and found it to be very noisy.

My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary on Saturday night and we enjoyed an amazing night at Cote in Tunbridge Wells. The staff decorated our table and provided my wife with a very nice bunch of flowers, which was unexpected and a great touch. On top of that the food was outstanding, I had the Pork Belly, which was the best I've ever had and my wife had the Duck, which again was 1st class. In addition, I'd like to thank Gabi for arranging the evening for us and helped make the evening a memorable occasion for us both. Great night and thank you so much to all at the restaurant!!!

Côte Tunbridge Wells is based on lovely location in the middle of town. The service is very good and the staff are helpful and friendly. The food is is good quality and the lunchtime / pre 7.00 pm set menu is excellent value. The wine-list is limited but there is always a bottle to found in your price range that will complement the food. All in all a good dining experience.

Food was good, nicely presented. Great to have a free bottle of wine because of a special offer. Only reason it wasn’t 6 is that we had to ask twice for a bottle of sparkling water and the French beans were over cooked.

Lovely meal and because we had to wait over 10 mins to order at our table, we were given our first drink on the house without us even having to complain that we had been kept waiting.

We arrived at 6.00pm for our pre theatre meal so we had a kir royals on the house. He manageress offered outside seating or inside and as it was such a lovely evening we sat outside. We were attended to quickly and, as usual, we had a very enjoyable 3 course supper. We are both vegetarian and enjoyed the Tarte tatine followed by the squash risotto and couldn’t resist the apple crumble, our favourite desert.

The restaurant became very busy as they had a pre-theatre offer on so we were glad we had booked. The staff were very friendly and helpful, not phased by the fact that every table was full, and the food and drink were delivered to our table very promptly. Have already raved to friends about the evening ( the food and wine was fantastic) and will definitely return.
