I eat here fairly regularly, always good friendly service, excellent food, good varied choice on the menu, the “early menu” is great value for the money. You can’t go wrong
Lovely lovely lovely lunch. Attentive , genuine and friendly service with a smile. Food cooked really well and served beautifully. Deservedly busy but never crowded, plenty of staff.
This restaurant never fails to please. I chose from the Prestige menu which changes monthly and the choice suitable for most tastes, I’d have thought. The staff are efficient, friendly and so when combined with the great value food makes the whole dining experience most enjoyable.
A great and convivial family evening spent enjoying some very good food and friendly service for a family birthday celebration, including helping with the birthday cake!
Great food for children, not a chicken nugget in sight! Staff happy to exchange carrots for peas and beans for carrots for the grandchildren. Also happy to bring plates and cutlery to enable sharing of one pudding. My steak frites excellent. Ketchup, mayo and mustard brought in attractive pots. Very enjoyable dining experience, staff lovely
Enjoyed the usual good vibe. Service very good and food delicious as always. Staff smartly dressed. Didn't feel pushed or neglected. Tables not crammed together.
Food good, service was slow, we seemed to be forgotten and had to moan about it. Toilets too far away and up a significant number of stairs
Pre theatre supper; excellent food and service as usual. Our regular go-to restaurant , never disappointed. We will always eat here when visiting Trinity for play or film
Surprised at service charge ,why not pay staff a little more and let the clients tip for good service, which was in fact very good. We enjoyed the visit but !!! We enjoyed the food by the way.
The restaurant was packed but the service was quick and efficient and all our food was delicious. Three courses plus an alcoholic drink for my husband and me, all for about £40: excellent value.
Another lovely lunch experience. Friendly, tasty and very good value. Visited Brighton, Sloane Square and Tunbridge Wells restaurants many, many times. Great for dropping in any time of the day.
The restaurant was very busy with a pre-theatre crowd, but service was impeccable and friendly; the food was excellent (as usual). One of my favourite restaurants locally. We had to wait a bit longer because of the number of patrons, but that was acceptable in the circumstances.
A good meet up place for family and friends anytime. Really like the set menus too! Happy to recommend as food always to good standard.
We all enjoyed very good meals and service on what was a very busy day. Staff were both friendly and helpful. We shall return soon.
Good food well presented and reasonable prices. GOOD ATMOSPHERE. Service responsive without being intrusive. The Crab Bisque was a little peppery but improved with the addition of butter. French Onion Soup delicious.
A long lunch, a set menu of a very tasty cauliflower, followed by a beautifully well cooked haddock on crushed peas, which was delicious, and a pot au chocolat which was all nicely executed. Service, while good, still feels occasionally ever so slightly rushed, meaning the staff get very little time to build any kind of rapport with their guests. Still well worth a visit, nevertheless. The manager is still excellent.
As always, good food and pleasant staff. As service goes, it can occasionally feel a little bit rushed, or a little bit impersonal. The manager is excellent.
Well received and table ready. Somewhat slow in taking orders which was a bit disconcerting but quick after that. Food voted good and represents good value for money. Noise level fairly high and one of our party with hearing problems declared it impossible!
We have been going to Cote often, since it opened, and we have never, ever had a dud meal - the food is always absolutely delicious, faultless, the staff are charming and the service is incredible. 10 out of 10
We had a great evening for my husband's birthday. The staff were very kind, we had the perfect table after requesting somewhere quiet. Steak was cooked perfectly and the little touches for his birthday made him feel spoilt- THANK YOU. The chocolate mousse was deliciously rich and had a high chocolate content. 😀
nice food, quality, service was OK quite a noisy atmosphere though, not ideal when with a group of people as makes conversation difficult Quite a bit of a wait between starters (which were very quick to arrive) and the main. Still one of my favourites restaurants in Tunbridge Wells, quite authentic and close to French food (I am French myself!)
Cote is a very nice restaurant - wherever it is. There's good food and good service, all in nice comfortable surroundings. I always enjoy my visits.
Good service and food in what was a busy Saturday night - far better than it used to be! Enjoyable evening all round and will definitely return.
Best breakfast in Tunbridge Wells - quality, value, efficiency, friendly, clean, bright. Food is cooked to perfection and beautifully presented on hot plates - couldn’t ask for any more !!
Usual friendly service and tasty brasserie food served at a good pace on a busy Friday lunchtime. My wife pronounced her mushroom brioche and haddock delicious and I also enjoyed my melon an ham, followed by a moist and tasty half chicken.
We booked a table for 6 people for a Saturday night. When we arrived there seemed to be some confusion and eventually 3 tables were hastily pushed together. The service was ok but quite formal with little attempt to engage with us. We were told one of our party’s order was not available after 10 mins! So our friend had to order another. The food was good when it arrived so no problem there. Cote automatically added a tip to the bill. I and my friends do not like this policy - in fact it turns us away from offering a tip at all. We therefore asked for this to be removed.
It is always a pleasure to go to cote, the staff, the food and ambience is always perfect! Special thanks to Krista who makes it happen all the time, she is an amazing Manager! levitha. xx
I love Cotes ,but my steak was inedible, too sinewy . I was offered a replacement but just ate my chips . Not only was it taken of the bill but complimentary glass of fizz . The manageress Gabi was fantastic.
Would have given top marks but the waiter didn’t acknowledge it was my daughter ‘s Birthday Celebration which was obvious due to Birthday cards & presents.
Good food, enjoyed by all and chosen from an extensive menu along with seasonal specials. However the service was rather slow and a long wait for the first course .
I've been a few times before and this was as good as those. Great food, a nice simple clean menu which was delivered well, on time and and by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good atmosphere on a Saturday night for an early dinner (18:30).
Visited the Tunbridge Wells restaurant with lovely atmosphere. The food was lovely and came quickly. Service was excellent and would definitely recommend and visit again. Thank you!
Unfortunately out of 2 out of our 3 main course orders were cold and when they were brought back to us after having been ‘warmed’ they were still cold. I couldn’t eat mine. Also, We had ordered 2 Belly of Pork, and I thought it looked different to what I had eaten the previous week in your Ixford branch, I thought perhaps it had just been plated up different, however whit we actually got was duck. Neither I nor my friend eat duck, but my friend had already eaten his when we actually found that out!! The manager was very nice and did reduce our bill, but I had only Eastenders melon and Parma ham and some ice cream so had to eat when I got home at 10:00pm. It has not put me off going to Cote as I have always loved the food and we had a nice evening anyway though and as I have said the manager was lovely and very helpful as were all the staff that served us.
Wonderful food perfectly served by friendly caring staff. What more could you ask for. This is my go to restaurant in Tunbridge Wells with friends or on my own.
Good food and great value for money. Always happy to welcome us after 10:00 pm for a post theatre supper. Their staff are always very friendly.
Food was as good as ever and the staff really friendly and helpful. No question that it is our favourite restaurant to visit when all the family visit us.
A poor experience, the Staff were good and very helpful, the minute steaks were full of gristle, but the main complaint is the unbearable noise level in the restaurant. some acoustic panels or soft furnishings would help.
This was my first visit to the Côte in Tunbridge Wells. The service was very good, the prix fixed lunch menu was delicious and we had a nice table in the window. Very pleasant staff.
Predictably good as usual, swift service before a trip to the theatre. I know I will visit again soon. Well done Cote Tunbridge Wells x
We were going to the theatre and the meal was prompt and delicious despite the restaurant being very busy. The very friendly and helpful staff ensured we enjoyed the experience.
Really nice service; very busy when we got their, but we had no Wait on our drinks our food. The god we had ordered was absolutely cooked to perfection,
Excellent meal as ever. Good value and we return time and time again. And first rate service despite being very busy. Always a good bet
My friend and I enjoyed another excellent meal at Cote Tunbridge Wells. It has become our go-to restaurant for lunch - lovely surroundings, great vibe and the lunchtime set menu is great value for money. I had the rabbit parmentier which was delicious, followed by creme caramel, one of the Cote signature dishes which has never been bettered in any restaurant I've been to anywhere, including France! The staff are friendly and welcoming but also attentive and professional - the perfect combination.
The food as usual was well cooked and presented. In the background the staff were rather noisy with clattering and dropping of plates and cutlery
Great value menus, food always acceptable. Staff are very good, friendly and efficient. We had a pre theatre meal which was timed to perfection, allowing us to stroll along to the theatre replete!
The manager at Tunbridge Wells Côte, Anna, is particularly good at her job. Food excellent. Wonderful ambience. Fantastic staff and service. It’s the only place to eat in Tunbridge Wells!

The food was as great as usual but service today was a little slower than we would have liked hence only a 5.Normally it would be a 6.
A fabulous authentic French restaurant that doesn’t feel at all like a chain! The service is always excellent, we never feel rushed. And the food is just wonderfully cooked (mmmmm....Breton chicken!). We love going here!!
Very good food and friendly service. Went early evening as later we were going to Theatre nearby. Started nice & quiet but a steady crescendo began to mar and toward the end of the meal the restaurant became very loud which is the only reason for marking down slightly. For main I had pork belly and my wife the steak, both most enjoyable.
Food was great; service was pretty bad. After being given the dessert menu we waited 30 mins before we were asked if we wanted anything, and by that point we needed the bill - waited another 20 before got up and went to the door to pay.
