Côte Tunbridge Wells

We had a nice early Valentine’s Day meal. I was a little disappointed that the pork dish I was going to order for my main course was unavailable. My starter, the mushroom feuilette,was tasty but there weren’t enough mushrooms to balance all the pastry. There was an unpleasant noise throughout our meal but the manager did say that it was the fridge which was being fixed the following day and she apologised.

A great way to round off a matinee at the Trinity Theatre. Friendly, attentive service; dishes well prepared and presented; great value for money. Thanks.

You can always rely on Côte to serve fine food with fine service. The position of their restaurant never disappoints either. A very good lunch.

Good service. We ordered the two course set menu but were a little disappointed with the quality of the vegetable risotto as it was rather thick and stodgy. We both left half of it and were not asked anything by the staff when they cleared the plates or when we paid our bill.

We had a very good lunch, as always. Service was quick and friendly. The quality of the food was up to expectations. Cote is a strong favourite in the local restaurants.

Excellent meal with friendly greeting and helpful service. We always enjoy the atmosphere and general ambiance of this restaurant and are returning soon for a further treat.

Cote is a reliable and consistent venue,convenient for the Trinity theatre. Pre-theatre is a busy time and it is necessary to book to avoid disappointment. Service was a little slow but the staff were doing their best to accommodate all the diners.

We had Fantastic service despite being a late evening. Food was excellent too. Nothing was too much for them to do. Really recommend Tunbridge Wells branch.

On a freezing cold Tuesday lunchtime we received a really warm welcome. Tasty langoustine tails and then chicken, comfort food for a cold winter's day. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit with our friends 😁🍖🍮

Excellent, friendly, prompt service but no feeling of being rushed. Great value meal- especially with the January offers. House wine very good price and consistently good. Would always recommend.

Great food choice! Always consistent! Try the same meal two or three times and you will see what I mean ! Over the last three years I’ve had the Chicken Walnut Salad over 29 times ,and last week it was the same wonderful delicious meal ! 5 stars

Such a warm, welcoming experience, with lovely staff and smart decor. Menu is interesting and competitively priced and as a proper bistro there is no pressure to eat more than you need.

We had the Prestige menu which was very good value. It's a very menu flexible as you can have two or three courses As always the service was friendly and efficient. We will definitely go again

Met a friend for a mid week meal and catch up. Leisurely meal, attentive service with good food reasonably priced - what's not to like!

We have lunched at Cote Tunbridge Wells a number of times and always found it to provide polite efficient service and an innovative menu at a reasonable price. Another great lunch at Cote.

Despite problems in the kitchen the food was all good when it came for a table of 8 and staff very friendly. Pre theatre drinks on the house.

Reservation efficient. Welcomed on the day A bit noisy, but excellent food and brisk service. Shame the hake had been taken off the menu. recommended

Great food, speedy service. Good value. It’s an excellent menu with loads of choice for everybody. I live the light main choices as well as traditional French food.

Service was excellent, waitress very friendly, and Fish Parmentier delicious. Price of Prestige Menu, main and dessert, was perfectly reasonable and quite competitive. Would recommend and will return.

Enjoyed lunch as usual, only gripe was the Navarin of Pork was not very hot . Still great value though and staff always friendly will be back.

Fantastic breakfast. My husband enjoyed a bloody Mary (it was Christmas eve eve after all) then he had eggs royal. I had the full English breakfast cooked perfectly. Piping hot coffee..... then our last bit of Christmas shopping.

Delicious food and very efficient staff. Although really busy pre theatre as lots of families for last night of pantomime. Have been to this restaurant lots of times.

We went here before going to the Trinity Theatre 5minutes away. The food was excellent and the service was A1. Make sure you collect tickets first as there is a complimentary royal kier on the back.........🥂

Lovely New Year’s Eve lunch. The restaurant was very busy but there was no dip in service. Food was lovely, staff were great. All good!

Service was slow last night yet the restaurant wasn’t full. Not much attention from staff, even when my son knocked his full glass off (our table was near the staff station), no one noticed as all gathered talking. Had to ask for more napkins as none given as replacement after we used ours to mop up the spilled glass. Roquefort salad had hardly any Roquefort in it, we had to ask for some extra which is the second time at this place. Food otherwise nice and a good spot before heading to panto. The free kir royale was nice and the kids liked their kids menu.

We had lunch at the Cote last week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The Food was excellent, well presented and served by waiters who were very adept at their table protocol. Neat, not intrusive yet attentive. The only downside is that it is rather noisy as the floors are of Tile or wood and when it is very busy as it was when we were there the noise reached a high pitch. having said that it did not detract from our experience. we are after all in our mid 80's and therefore noise is more of an issue. We have been before and we shall return, the location is just perfect for us within walking distance of the shops and Parking.

Another great evening at Cote, staff were attentive and food was great. There were some new items on the early evening menu which was good to see. The parsnip soup was yummy.

Busy, bustling happy Christmas atmosphere in Cote. All of team were smiling and working incredibly hard yet their full attention was focused on us the diners. The restaurant was full!! Thank you for being the best restaurant in Tunbridge Wells 🎄🎉🎉🎄

It was just as well we had booked a table as the place was full and prospective diners were being turned away. Despite this, the service was excellent as was the food! We will be back!!

Cote was excellent quandoo not good, too much paper when booking, too much pestering before and after about booking.i will book direct with restaurant next time.

Good portion size, the food was severed hot and on warm plated. We were seated in a nice quiet area of the restaurant, thank you.

I have given only 5 as although we had booked our choices the restaurant did not have them recorded but luckily I had taken a list of our booking and choices, so they rectified it pretty quickly and the meal was very good!

Excellent food which was good value for money. Friendly staff and very pleasant surroundings. Easy to book on line and I was impressed to get a confirmation email the days before.

Good menu and service to match. The pre theatre and early evening menus really make an evening out even better. Always book in advance though.

Good food, staff very attentive but not in your face. Responded very efficiently to a request for freshly well cooked beans. Wine very well received as was the fresh water. Will return as we have done many times

Great visit - good choice of food and great atmosphere.

The food was beautiful, we had the sea bass which was cooked beautifully and filleted, the rest of us had steaks as main, all cooked differently as requested, medium was perfectly pink all the way through, and hot. Starters were larger than expected, and the chocolate deserts were delicious, very chocolatey. Pancake desert was really good. The drinks were great, restaurant was clean and inviting, nice atmosphere with attentive staff all in all, very impressed with the food.

Great food, great service. Service with a smile throughout and they were very attentive to our every need. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the wine selection was plentiful.
