This is a lovely place for both adults and children. They have a new and improved children’s menus which are very fairly priced.

Food was good, service was ok, a bit slow and no checking if everything was ok. But the biggest issue by far was the ‘optional service charge’ which was not ‘optional’ we were given the full bill with no choice at all on the service charge Our waiter did not discuss it or give us any ‘Option’ , very disappointing . A lovely breakfast. The sourdough toast was very hard so I wasn’t able to eat that but everything else was delicious.

Service was friendly and helpful, as always. Disappointing mains, though. Steak was very tough and mussels not tasty. Green salad needed more dressing.

Hello - Unfortunately we had a very disappointing experience. The main cause for this was the attitude and interactions with the staff on duty on Aug 22, 2019 - we had dinner. The manager on duty wanted to seat us ‘on the bench’ in the backroom (we had a reservation), whilst a walk in table was given a lovely window seat in the main dining room. When asked for a request of an egg yolk on the steak tartare (whether this was traditionally done on the cote menu or not, the implementation and sass/sulking contradictory attitude and service was what was not up to par) - begrudgingly, the server literally shot down a small cup with a raw egg in it with no explanation or checking if that was right or ok and with no spoon or ‘way’ to consume it. Baffled by this - I aptly did not continue to ask her for anything. Furthermore, we had all other plates ‘plonked down’ on the table and servers would quickly turn and walk off before we could ask for anything more, even if we wanted to! Overall bad attitude and poor service ensued. Lastly we had to wait for the bill, while 3 other parties, who had jumped the queue to pay, got served and seen to before us - naturally my father he got upset and then the reaction of the server was disgusting: rude, adverse, disrespectful and unprofessional. She shook her head and complained as she waked away, smirked to redirect blame and shrugged her shoulders and walked off as if to make out my father was being difficult - with no real apology or sane reason for why he was made to wait when he had asked before the rest. The fact there was an added percentage for service charge already included in the bill is absolutely laughable and frankly - offensive. The manager did not do a good job of consoling the matter in any way, shape or form when i spoke up to give feedback. I strongly suggested she and her staff take a refresher course in customer service, waiting technique and restaurant hospitality for all customers’ sake, in order to make for a better dining experience in the future; especially for long time local patrons. Attention by superiors and senior management should really be made here and look into how their staff conduct themselves. Shamefully - no offer of any considerations, proper apology or ownership of blame took place. Regards.

Normally great food at Cote but this time my steak was 'blue' and when it came back it wasn't really medium rare and was rather 'double cooked'. Shame. Also there were mistakes with the bill and not in our favour!

Always a great dining experience, with good value for money. I particularly enjoy the changing menus.

The staff that served us were very friendly and attentive. The background noise (hard surfaces) made hearing conversation difficult for some of our party, 7 diners. The food was well received but the steak plates were cold and the food on those was cold by the end of the meal. The other dishes were fine. We liked the large linen napkins which are often missing from other restaurants.

The food was delicious and always is delicious but the restaurant is so crammed with seating that going on a date night is not an intimate or personal experience. The restaurant was so hot when we went at the weekend that I felt very ill and we had to leave with dinner in a takeaway pot. Such a shame. It wasn't even a hot evening outside. The restaurant needs to open windows or install some fans.

Lovely meal and extremely good value. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was served efficiently but without us feeling at all rushed. We'll be going back there soon.

We had a perfect evening. The food was excellent, as always and very good value. It was so nice to have the complimentary drinks. The service was really good, all the waiters/waitresses are very good at their job and so pleasant. Whenever we go to a Town that has a Cote, we would always choose to eat there.

Despite being extremely busy we had excellent service throughout. Staff being very attentive as always. The manager had everything under control.

Waiter forgot to order out main meal so after an hour and 15 mins it finally turned up. And the drinks we ordered wasn’t correct. Apart from that all ok
