My first time eating at Cote in Tunbridge Wells and I was pleasantly surprised by the really nice atmosphere for a Resturant right on the main road. The service was attentive and the early evening menu good value although the venison cottage pie was a little disappointing. The house red wine is good value and a nice early evening drink. I’d definite try and alternative menu.

We went for breakfast, and being veggies the breakfast is excellent. We went in at 11.00 and it was very quiet but still enjoyable.

Wonderful welcome from Christina. Our favourite aperos a Richard and a perfectly chilled bland de blancs. Calamara and a tasty warm beetroot salad. We both had butterflied chicken breast. With a chilled bottle of Lagrande, perfect. Then espresso coffee to finish. Fantastic meal, wonderful service, see you soon.

Not enough choice for vegetarians either in the special menu or the regular one.

Côte is the unpretentiously excellent bistro/brasserie you hope you'll find on your travels but are increasingly unlikely to discover in France, let alone in England. Well thought-out menus and à la carte, fine execution in the kitchen, consistent standards everywhere, judiciously selected and pleasing wines at inviting prices, charming service, exceptional value. What is not to like? Long may Côte thrive.

We liked the Sidecar cocktail. Something we would not have tried without it being a complimentary drink. Probably order it next time now.

We enjoyed another visit to Cote in Tunbridge Wells. We both had from the prestige set menu warm beetroot salad and agreed that there was too much beetroot and too little hazel nuts and little gem. Also a tart goat’s cheese would have been better than the creme fraiche. Both enjoyed our main courses of sea bass with mussels and pork tenderloin with gratin potatoes. Service was as good as normal. We shall be back.

Extremely good value food from monthly changing menus that offer dishes at two fixed prices, plus a la carte. Service is excellent and the high standard maintained throughout our visit. Obviously a very popular lunchtime venue - I’d strongly recommend booking.

This remains one of my favourite restaurants in Tunbridge Wells. Good food, great atmosphere, reasonable prices,good service and brilliantly run by the General Manager and her deputy. Visit if you can, you will not be disappointed. John Ribbins

Food consistently excellent. Staff excellent. Always very noisy well full but a good atmosphere. Parents bringing toddlers in should not be allowed in the main section. They disturb everyone who has gone for a lovely meal.

Disappointed with the quality of the steak today, very tough and inedible. Handled well by the staff but not what you expect from Cote.

The set meal sounds good value but found it wasn't. "Boeuf en croute" consisted of a small beef casserole with 2 slices of puff pastry. No bread offered with soup. Very quick service and very full restaurant.

Food was very average and clearly heated to order. Over priced fast food. Give it a miss

super meal .... had to remind the staff to bring our order of creamed spinach .... my American friends were thrilled .... best meal they had in UK this trip

Thoroughly enjoyed the half roast chicken. I have always enjoyed the food at Cote Brasserie, as well as the breakfasts. The staff are always very professional and friendly and very helpful.

Friendly staff who were apologetic that the voucher we had was not valid at TW even though we have used it before at Winchester We had a 2 course voucher for £11-95 that said could be used every day until 6 December and included weekends However at TW they would not honour this as their policy is Monday to Friday only Disappointing but we still stayed to eat and were not disappointed with what we had just more expensive than we would have wanted it to be so won’t rush back

Good choice of dishes, excellent meal and wine, the fish and vegetables beautifully cooked. we shall have dinner there again.
