We had a most enjoyable lunch to say goodbye to a friend who is moving abroad. Very welcoming atmosphere, the food was good and the service was excellent.

Cote is one of our favourite restaurants in Tunbridge Wells with freshly cooked food served hot and good waiter/ waitress service experienced on all occasions. It can be a bit noisy with minimum sound absorbing decor but this is not unusual in most restaurants and perhaps this might be taken into account if ever they contemplate a refurbishment programme. The menu has a wide variety of choice so my party of seven people all found a suitable dish to suit their tastes. I would definitely recommend this venue for any special celebration or just for the enjoyment of the food.

Excellent food. However the noise made conversation with my son difficult. Like many other newish restaurants this one lacks anything to absorb the noise - no carpets, no curtains or hangings - easier to clean no doubt - but the noisy atmosphere is not relaxing and detracts from the pleasure of the food. We went home for coffee. You have a popular terrace outside, but it is close to busy traffic with all its unhealthy emissions.

We booked our table with friends to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were served complimentary kirs, a wonderful gesture. My main course was the chicken salad, very fresh and full of flavour

We were a group of 4 and were seated upstairs where the atmosphere was very relaxed. The food was delicious with a wide range of choice on the menu - we went for the 10 Year Anniversary menu at £27.50 per person which included a glass of champagne (very nice!). The service was excellent and we had a really enjoyable evening. Thank-you!

As always superb food, our waiter asked if we wanted a Ricard and a kir. Our food was piping hot and beautifully presented. My only concern is that the tables are too close together.

Food by friend and myself very much enjoyed - particularly the creme caramel ,!. Service was efficient and friendly. I was very impressed by the young waiter, who, unasked bought me a chair to sit on whilst waiting for the disabled loo to become vacant. I am so pleased we have a Cote in Tunbridge Wells Thanks all.

Stunning starter of goats cheese, walnut and apple salad. Good main course of steak and good sweet. Good and friendly service from staff. Good buzz about the place. Pleasant seating.

Only negative is 12.5% automatic surcharge added to the bill. Service warranted 10% normal tip but to assume you can add 12.5% is not fair especially as most people will not notice this add on to the bill.

I would have expected the restaurant to know how to cook a rare steak - but another member of our party was served mine and the other steaks were just not succulent. Food was good but not great staff were good but at the busy stages of the evening they took the eye off the ball, and customers were being ignored.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The 10th Anniversary Special menu offered very good choices and our food was delicious. Also with the glass of champagne included it was excellent value for money. The service was very good and the staff friendly. In fact we were very pleasantly surprised at the restaurant's extreme helpfulness when my husband was lent some reading glasses as he'd forgotten his own at home. This is something we've never experienced anywhere. Thank you Cote - We will definitely be back again soon.

Brilliant food as always. Cannot fault the service, the layout at all. We've used this Cote many times for family occasions, meeting up with friends and family etc. and every single time we've enjoyed the experience tremendously. The staff are always friendly and polite. We've gone for dinners mostly, but we've had brunch there every now and then and it's simply delicious. Highly recommend!

We were a party of 4 and had the set 2 course menu. The food was very dull and tasteless. Unlike there previous menu which was fairly good. The service was good.

Experience was so bad manager said the bill was on him which to me meant nothing as the evening was rubbish ,I am a veggie was given a meal with goats cheese which was stated different cheese lucky my friend notice as I am elorgic to goats cheese service was very poor

Every good meal ,we had an excellent evening out , the service was not very Good as we had to call the waitress At every occasion , wether the restaurant was busy we felt the staff should at least acknowledge us .

Lovely food, nice atmosphere. The restaurant was busy and the staff took a long time coming to us. When we asked for the bill again there was a very long time waiting. In the end we got up and paid at the bar as we needed to leave.

Reliable quality, reasonably priced, friendly helpful staff. Went for breakfast and chose the 'Formula', which gives you juice, a hot drink and a choice of hot breakfast for £9.95. Hard to beat in Tunbridge Wells.

Nice location, excellent outdoor terrace for dining. Menus varied and food was good, if not as hot as usual. The service today was slow, kept waiting for main courses, coffees etc.

Very enjoyable although a numbe of the items on the menu were not available. Given we were there fairly early in the evening this was a bit surprising

f Family birthday 2 guests had Ribeye Steak which was tough told the manageress who apologised and offered another dish which ws declined so a reduction on the bill otherwise ok

As usual it was great. The food is almost always delicious ( if there is ever a problem, it is immediately dealt with). The staff are unfailingly lovely.

We were welcomed by friendly & helpful attention from staff. Excellent tasty fish pie full of varied fish & not too much potato!, yummy desserts & wine & cider. Prompt service.

Your usual good and welcoming service. There always seems to be something new and interesting on the menu. We will certainly continue to visit regularly.

Good authentic french food, with a good selection of wines. We visited on a Sunday evening and we're disappointed several things on the menu were unavailable. However, the staff were very helpful and we will definitely return.

We go to this Cote fairly regularly and we do enjoy the food and service here. We managed to get a table outside which was nice and our food was delivered fairly quickly! I was slightly disappointed with the ham I had with my eggs Benedict which was more like a piece of wafer thin ham from a sandwich pack. I did also ask them to remove the automated tip and that I would leave cash...which they didn't do.

Delicious food and great service. Always reliable and good value for money. Restaurant setting is nice and lively and can get a bit loud! Can't go wrong basically.

We always love Cote - wonderful staff and delicious food. Today my food was slightly below par - I had the haddock with bacon and it was rather overcooked and dry. My friends' food was perfect, staff attention great and still a good experience!

A consistently excellent restaurant with fantastic staff, wonderful food and a newly appointed Manager, Sam who continues to do a first class job. Great value for money and each customer greeted as a 'regular' with the same level of attentive service.

I had been to cote several times but it was the first time I had been with my husband. They made the evening really special, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. The desserts were to die for even though we were full we just had to have one. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and are looking forward to going again. Thanks to the restaurant manager and her team.

Excellent, as usual. Good food, well presented. Good atmosphere, busy without being too loud. And the service is good too, very professional and they leave you to enjoy the meal. All in all, highly recommended.

The breakfast and service were of the usual high standard, cannot fault either. However ... we were a table of 5 and a round table was just not big enough. We finished up by giving back the 2 bottles of water and all the water glasses and milk jugs for the coffee and drank our juices immediately they were delivered and still there wasn't enough room for everything, some plates sitting partly over the edge of the table. We finished up balancing the toast on our coffee cups. The same applies to tables for 2 for breakfast, the tables are simply not big enough.

Excellent service, great food which is nicely presented. Even better, the table was ours for as long as we wanted. Third visit to chain and all have been equally good.

Excellent service and good ambience as always, but seasonal set menu disappointing. Langoustine a bit soggy and chicken salad lacked flavour. Too much creme fraiche in relation to chocolate, which was grainy, in the Chocolate Pot.
