Food & service were both excellent. We did not have to wait long & the waiting staff were cheerful and attentive but not intrusive. The French martinis were an added bonus.
Had a lovely time at the restaurant tonight, the food was amazing, first time my partner has been here and he loved it!!
The atmosphere, food & service were very good. The wine menu is disappointingly overpriced.
Very pleasant meal served by friendly staff. I do however object to service being added to the bill at 12.5%. Firstly I will chose whether the service has been such that I should leave a gratuity. Secondly 12.5% is a cynical attempt to screw a couple of extra percent/quid out of a customer. When was the last time anybody in the UK went out for a meal, enjoyed it and the service and thought "let's leave a tip of 12.5% of the bill". 10% is the industry standard. Don't take the piss.

Excellent food and service, despite being very busy service was prompt and courteous. Our order was served I perfect time we were not rushed and the food for all four of us was delicious. Other fast food eateries could learn from Cote and perhaps so many wouldn’t have gone to the wall. We will certainly be back. This was the third Cote Brasserie we have been too and all have been top notch. Thank you, breakfasts lunch and dinners are all good. All transport me to a little bit of France. Do go you won’t be disappointed, though you may need to book.
We enjoyed our meal which was very tasty and the wine is always brilliant. We will be back.
Enjoyed the meal, staff working so hard with a full house all going to the concert at the assembly hall. Very successful
Usual great service. Steak a bit chewy.. lovely good apart from e.
As a frequent diner at Cote I am amazed at how consistently they manage to produce such well cooked and presented dishes from their ever changing, great value menus. This must be in no mean way due to such leaders as Gabby who maintains a tight ship by managing to encourage staff whilst providing an ever cheerful presence for the customers.
Excellent evening and friendly good atmosphere and a nice evening. Altogether an enjoyable evening.
Another lovely lunch here. I brought my pram and the staff were so welcoming and accommodating. The prestige menu was excellent, I particularly enjoyed the chocolate mousse.
I ordered medium rare steak. My friend order rare steak. I think we were given each other's steak!! After one mouthful we swapped and then had the correct steak - better than sending it back to be re-cooked!

As usual very good food and service and good value for money
Great food and great service - as always! Requested a round table as there were five of us and we were given a very nice table at the back of the restaurant. We were also celebrating a birthday and Cote kindly made a creme caramel “birthday cake” for us and presented it on a decorated plate. Lovely! Will be back!
An early pre theatre dinner. Quite empty at this time but food and service were excellent.
Excellent service and meal apart from the steak being very rare instead of medium. The waiter took the comment seriously and showed the manageress the steak. She was also very sympathetic and did not charge for it. First class response. We will continue to go there.
Noise echoes maybe have a separate area for children not always relaxing for adults without children
Just felt that tables too close together making noise level too high. Regular clients
Great meal, prompt service but not too rushed and everyone enjoyed their food.
Excellent food and first class service. Only one problem. Toilets are far away up two flights of stairs. Not too good for us oldies. Danny
Good food, prompt service and not rushed to leave. A good evening.
Always good food and service, excellent value and choice from the early diner menu.
Superb food and service spoiled only by the very noisy acoustics which inhibited our conversations. Also we had to pay cash because the normal card payment system had 'broken down' and we were told this is a common occurrence "when it gets busy"!!! Not good enough for a restaurant of this calibre
As always we found our experience at Cote Tunbridge Wells a sheer delight: The food was excellent and the staff welcoming. It reminded us of why keep returning.
Greeted so happily and taken to our table upstairs, our very attentive waiter was there in a flash to take drinks order. We ordered from the prestige menu, half chicken and pork loin which were both delicious. All in all a fantastic meal and served in quick order as most people were there for the theatre
It was a nice night and the food was good
Very good as always at Cote, tasty well priced food, friendly staff, convenient location and nice atmosphere.
Always superb breakfast n service is excellent, great staff x
Superb . Having been to the Ivy down the road last week, the food and service were far better and it was half the price . Thank you.
6.30 booking, arrived on time, enjoyed the starter and wine. Had a very long wait for the main course (it arrived after we commented on the delay to the waiter). The dish was very good, but we had to rush to eat it and did not have time for the dessert or coffee both of which we would have liked. We had an 8pm theatre booking (virtually next door to Cote). We were told that they were very busy! *If meals cannot be served in a timely way because the kitchen cannot cope with the number of customers - they should accept less bookings surely....disappointed!
Good food, friendly service. Only downside was noise level when restaurant filled up.

As always the food was wonderful and the service excellent. There is always a super choice of food on the menu catering for all tastes and the set menus are fantastically priced. Only minor gripe was that the floor in the restaurant didn’t look very clean and more worryingly there was broken glass under our table and the one next to us. This was there when we sat down and was only cleared up when we brought it to the attention of the staff.
Excellent food, buzzy atmosphere, good service. The pork tenderloin was very good but the creme caramel is the best ever!
Very nice food and good service. Couldn't fault it. We had a great night.
Will never get tired of this restaurant. Great food.Good value.Very professional and friendly staff.

The food was great and so was the service. Highly recommend!!!
Although we had, with plenty of prior notice, requested a table in a quiet part of the restaurant, to the right of the front door, by the window, no table had been reserved for us there and the area was full. We were offered a so-called 'quiet' table in the far corner of the main area. When we sat down we had to shout at each other to makes ourselves heard. I am sure the noise level was well above 90 decibels. I found the noise intolerable - my daughter who suffers with fibromyalgia (with high sensitivity to noise) was almost in tears, so we left without dining and were very disappointed that no table had been reserved in the area requested and no message had been received telling us that you could not comply with our request. Our visit to Tunbridge Wells was spoiled by this unpleasant experience and we were unable to find a decent lunch anywhere else. We have long felt that noise levels are far too high in Cote Brasseries when they are busy - some have better acoustics than others, but they are all characterised by hard surfaces which magnify noise and detract from what might otherwise be a pleasant dining experience with competitively priced menus and usually with very good service.
We always love eating at Cote in Tunbridge Wells and it was the first time we had enjoyed an evening meal there as we would normally visit in the lunchtime mid afternoon slots.
As usual Cote Tunbridge Wells lived up to it's reputation, with scrumptious food and excellent, friendly service. We miss the VEAL ESCOLOPE, Please put it on the menu again ,other customers have also asked for it, so it is sadly missed. Paul Jackson
Really good as always, food good, staff excellent especially Gabby. She makes us so welcome and she makes us feel really special people. Love going there.
Food and service as good as usual but it was chilly in the restaurant today and the noise level seemed higher than usual too!
Very noisy because busy, but lovely food and staff x
The steak was SO disappointing. I should have learned from my previous experiences as it seems very" hit and miss". Staff was friendly and the rest of the food good. I strongly dislike the automatically added 12% discretionary tip. I think it should be left to the customer to give a tip or not, and how much..or else incorporate a service cost in the prices.
As usual, we enjoyed an excellent meal with friendly service.
Excellent food & friendly service, as per all our visits. A very nice meal, helped along nicely by the free Kir Royales for my Birthday. The perfect break from entertaining my own customers in the Grove Tavern, whilst setting me up nicely to return & finish off!
We always have steak et frites! Followed by creme caramel! Excellent as always. Good friendly service. There was no rush but equally we didn’t have to wait for food.
We had a very enjoyable evening the food was superb and so was the service. Thank you
Lunched at Cote again this week to enjoy their superb Sole Meuniere - the September special. It was outstandingly good and extremely reasonably priced. Their Creme Brulee dessert has to be experienced and is probably the best I've tasted! Their was a slight hiccup over our order but the lady manager handled it brilliantly. It is the great combination of very good food, wonderful service and reasonable prices that makes this one of our favourite places to eat in Tunbridge Wells. Congratulations to the staff and those that run it.
Lovely, welcoming excellent service. We had the most attentive, funny members of the team attending to us. Will definitely book our Christmas meal here 😄
