Very helpful and courteous Complimentary drinks - a good touch

Sat upstairs we can a party of 16 and they were very noisy I can not hear myself speak and I could not hear my partner and guest were saying and my partner and my guest had trouble getting up and down the stairs

Very good meal and excellent service. The normal set meal was good value although one of our party had the Christmas set menu which was overpriced. The wine was overpriced for the quality so I didn’t select the wine I really wanted.

This was our fifth visit and the quality and attention was overall perfect for us. It is very busy and therefore booking is recommended. The food and service were one of the best experienced by us especially in Tunbridge Wells.

As usual, I find the food at Cote is always over salted. I did not expect to find chunks of venison in a type of shepherds pie.

We dine at Cote in Tunbridge Wells regularly and love it! We have had friends to stay and have dined there three times this week. Twice for dinner and once for breakfast all of which were superb. We are always made to feel welcomed and receive excellent attention from all of the staff mentioning especially Gabby, Christina, and Kasia. It is enormously popular there and usually very busy so do book a table.

Overall very good the food as usual of a high quality. Restaurant to hot and noise level to high. I think the acoustics are bad in that particular restaurant. Don't agree with the added service charge.

The service was not acceptable - the drinks arrived but they didn't take our food order for 30 minutes and we had to wait another 45 minutes for the food to arrive We complained and all they offered was free hot coffee!

We know the restaurant well. The food is of consistently good quality and the staff are friendly and helpful. On this visit the food was especially good. We had Baby Gem, Bacon, Egg Salad and Mushroom Soup to start, Poulet Chasseur and Pan Roasted Ling-Cod for mains, and Crème Caramel for dessert. They were all excellent. It was especially good value being from the early evening menu. This Monday evening was quiet which was helpful as the restaurant can become quite noisy with its hard reflective walls and ceiling.

I always enjoy lunch at Cote particularly as I’m on a tight budget and find the set menu great value at £11.50 for two courses. My daughter and I both ordered from this menu, she ordered the steak which attracted a £2.50 supplement. The bill showed an additional £4.50 which I queried. I was told my daughter had ordered an 8 oz ribeye steak from the “Prestige set menu”(.£15.95 ). She hadn’t as we didn’t even know there were 2 set menus. We knew there was one and a festive menu too. The manageress explained the system - the waitress looks at whichever menu the client has open at the table to judge which menu is being ordered from. Perhaps, as we experienced, this system is somewhat flawed and a simple verbal clarification would prove useful. We took most of the steak home for our dogs who loved it. Lovely lunch celebrating a birthday, great staff, nice food, super ambiance but my experience with the menu overpricing today, although a small amount, has left a sour taste in my mouth so I won’t be rushing back.

As usual the food was very good, the service fast and friendly and the atmosphere (on a Monday lunchtime) excellent. You have found a balance that really works!

Côte manages to maintain the exceptional standards it achieves in variety of menus it offers at excellent prices with prompt, cheerful service.

We love it here. Works so well with Trinity Theatre! Noise levels normally high at lunchtime which adds to the experience!

We always find Cote an enjoyable experience with consistently good food and value for money. The restaurant has a good ambience and the staff are attentive and friendly. My only slight grumble is that they add a 12.5% service charge to the bill.
