Evening started bad and got worse. Valentines menu. Crab starter full of shell. Main Chateaubriand for two. (extra charge) PATHETIC. Three slices of beef hidden under a clump of watercress PLATED. What you served was less then half a normal size chateaubriand cut. You plated it instead of serving the traditional way as it would have got lost on the serving platter. It was a con.

My Grandmother and I had a wonderful meal. Although the restaurant was extremely busy as it was the half term holidays and lunchtime rush, both the service and food was excellent.

Excellent service, attentive without being overbearing and the food was delicious as ever. The Bourdin Noir is heavenly!

Went early Saturday evening after shopping. Cozy, but very noisy acoustics not that relaxing. Enjoyed the cocktails and food was excellent .

We visited Cote for my mum’s birthday. Despite the restaurant being absolutely packed the service was amazing, the food was utterly delicious and we had a wonderful evening. There is a reason it’s packed because people know they get consistent 5 star food every time!

Excellent as usual. Unfortunately I had to send back my tuna nicoise as the tuna was hard and overcooked. However, obviously the kitchen decided I needed to go completely the other way and so was almost raw when it came back. I wasn't going to send it back again and ate it and enjoyed it somewhat but not as much as usual. I was surprised and happy when the waitress told me that they had taken it off the bill.

Dinner for 8 to celebrate my son’s 21 st birthday. The staff were impeccable , one of our number was delayed due to train issues, we ordered for him , the waitress kept his starter warm as we tucked in. The staff presented the dessert with a candle and led a chorus of happy birthday , all un bidden , my son as ‘ special needs ‘ , he was delighted. The food was delicious, service brilliant. I have long been a fan of Cote . Brilliant & thankyou

The food from the Valentine's menu was outstanding! My partner and I had the leek and potato soup, I had the bacon wrapped chicken, she had the lamb chops and we both had the chocolate fondant. Absolutely incredible, it made our valentine's day more special. Would definitely recommend :)

From the moment we arrived were made to feel welcome. Staff very professional and friendly and the food was simple superb and all at a great price. Will be back very soon.

There was a debate with a diner about whether the "Sauce" that came with the Chicken dish should have been a liquid (or just a pat of Garlic Butter that melted when applied to the chicken). By the time the garlic butter came - the chicken was cold (and had to be bagged up as a "doggy bag"). Extra Mushroom Sauce was requested - and the tiny amount that came cost £2.45!! Not what was expected when spending £40 a head!!!

Food fabulous, service faultless. Did not appreciate a call 2 days before our reservation date to to told it was a Valentines menu only and be offered an earlier time of 5.30. Although the head chef very generously agreed to let us choose from the set menus at 6.15. long after we arrived People were still being served this menu and clearly not the more expensive Valentine deal.

Pretty nice experience however didn’t appreciate that the tip is already on the bill when the service didn’t go above and beyond my expectations and I told the waiter that’ll me and my partner will pay half and half on the bill but he made my partner pay £4 more.

We enjoyed a very tasty good quality breakfast at a reasonable price with good service

Been to this restaurant many times, it never fails,and is now back to it's best. Will return soon.

Quite a nice meal, steaks good, mine was a bit fatty, did not have time for desert/coffee. On getting home noticed on my bill/receipt I had been charged for garlic butter, do not recall actually asking for this.

I always feel the service could be more friendly at the Tunbridge Wells Cote. Not very smiley or welcoming staff. The ‘fancy’ olives were missing the cornichons and pickled onions promised on the menu. The pork was under cooked and pink in the centre too. Nothing worth making a fuss about but there doesn’t seem to be much attention to detail or staff morale here.

A most enjoyable experience. Good menus, good food served with a pleasant smile and at a good price.

The thing that lets this place down is the echoy nature of the building. I know many don't find this a problem, as there were plenty of customers there, but I do. It is not relaxing for me if I have to shout across the table to be heard. I guess I am in a minority but there it is! I was also a bit surprised that practically everything was extra. Carrots and/or peas were extra with my steak. I did joke that so much was extra, I wondered whether we were paying extra to have chairs at our table.

The manager this evening was utterly amazing. She went the extra mile to make our evening very enjoyable. The other staff were also great, and the food as ever was delicious. Cote cannot be beaten in my opinion. Great job!

I’m a regular at Cote but Tunbridge Wells is my least favourite of our local Cote restaurants. It is always very noisy & not as welcoming as the others

Nice evening, friendly staff, reasonable prices and nice buzz in the restaurant

Disappointing! Quite unusual for Cote, but meals were put in front of wrong people, no care was taken over checking allergies during ordering although these were notified to them in advance. My green salad arrived 10 minutes after the main course and after my hot main had gone cold. Not up to your usual standard!

As always, despite being full all the staff manage to give everyone individual attention and a great service. Credit and Big thanks must also go to the staff in the kitchen and side lines. My husband and I celebrated the anniversary of our first meeting 22 years ago … not our wedding. We are regulars and - Absolutely recommend.

Though very busy, the waiting staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious and we got to the Assembly halls in good time!
