Côte Teddington

Relaxed atmosphere, pleasant attentive staff, lovely Sunday lunch with family. We keep coming back to Cote for good food at a fair price and cheerful service.

We were asked to pre-order as we were a big group. We could order from the whole menu and Teddington team accommodated some off-piste requests. We had the downstairs dining room to ourselves, which worked very well for a large family gathering. Our waiter, I’m afraid I don’t know his name, was excellent and looked after us very well. We all enjoyed our food and I would recommend the downstairs room at Teddington for large parties.

Good food and service. Friendly staff. It was my birthday and this was acknowledged by a candle in my dessert and a rendition of Happy Birthday from the staff and a few diners.

Overall a pleasant experience, but let down by a couple of small factors. The lamb, whilst tasty and well cooked, was a poor cut - very fatty and chewy. Low quality supplier or cost cutting? I would expect Cote to have superior cuts of meat, especialy at the prices charged. Secondly, this current trend of charging extra for all vegetables as a “side dish”. The prices of the mains are high enough to reflect that they should include all vegetables. £3.35 for a few green beans is poor value. I appreciate it’s a crafty way of extracting more money from the diner, but ultimately it just irks and will ultimately lead to a loss of custom. I don’t recall having to pay extra for vege when dining out until a few years ago - it’s a trend which needs to be quashed, eacpcially if you’re trying to attract custom in these cash strapped times. Otherwise, good service and good atmosphere.

The male clearing our table spilt the sauce over my friends chair and the floor - thankfully my friend had left at that moment to use the loo - orders arrived and were wrong - offered to change bueveryone had started

Food ok ... I am a disabled diner and was annoyed that the lift down to the loos was broken. It’s an awful lift anyway. A major negative for one of my favourite chains

Food, waiting staff, all excellent as usual but hottest day of the year... why open the doors and windows and turn of the AC, we (as several others we spoke to) came to have a nice meal and cool off, instead we were using the ice bucket to cool down! Heaven knows how the chef was coping!

Always lovely food and service! our favourite place in Teddington

We all three enjoyed our complimentary gin, and then our meal. The service was really excellent.

I forgot not to sit at the table ( near front window by kitchen door) . A/C cold so had to get my jacket yet again. Lobster on menue had NO description. Staff as always fantastic.

Lovely food mussels were delicious, staff in Teddington very nice and very helpful, also friendly and made us feel welcome.

One of our party of 5 had some food intolerances. When ordering our food your manager was extremely helpful. Unfortunately, as the evening progressed, the level of service deteriorated significantly to the extent of being virtually non-existent. We are regular diners at Cote so trust this will not become a feature. A response will be appreciated. Regards David Brooke

The food was excellent and the service was really good from well-trained young staff. A special thank you to the duty manager for handling a medical emergency so well. We will return! The only down side is that the acoustics are very poor, but that should not reflect badly on the staff.

Our starter, sharing flat bread was burnt, hard and inedible. I asked the floor manager to replace it. She took it away, a short time later she explained that it was a flatbread- when it was brought out again it was actually the same dish. We had removed the end pieces on the original and surprise surprise there were no end pieces on the replacement on it was still burnt and too hard to eat. It was taken off the bill at the end of the meal.

Great food and value but disappointing wait time for dessert, especially with young child with us. IN the end we did not order dessert due to this delay but meal was good.

We attend regularly and usually enjoy the food and the service. Unfortunately, today the mussels were the worst I’ve ever experienced having had this particular dish many times and at many places in the past. We weren’t charged for this particular dish but my lunch meal was totally spoilt. We will still visit Cote Teddington because we usually enjoy our dining experience there. Alas, not today! However, the service and ambience were as good as usual.

The service was very inattentive and slow. The burger was over cooked. The waiter asked my how if I would like it medium or well-done, I said medium, when I gave the manager feedback that it was overcooked she said that they are not allowed to serve burgers medium. So there is obviously a breakdown of communication between the staff there. We waited nearly 45 minutes for our main course and about 30 minutes for them to even bring our olives to the table. However, the lamb and chocolate fondant were very nice.

Food was ok, although the toast was cold. There service was quite poor on this occasion. It took ages for someone to come over and take our order. Once we had eaten, our empty plates lay in front of us. No one cleared our table or asked if we wanted anything else. I struggled to get someone's attention to ask for the bill. The service overall was pretty poor from start to finish and the restaurant was half empty.

Great, quality meal. We love Cote in Teddington. Will visit soon again.
