We were unable to dine at the St Christopher's Place Côte as they were experiencing problems with their gas supply. Two members of staff greeted us when we arrived and they were incredibly apologetic, gracious and helpful. They mentioned that they had another restaurant only 5-7 minutes walk away on Devonshire Street and offered to ring ahead to make sure we had a table. When we arrived at Devonshire Street we were shown directly to our table and to our utter delight served up two glasses of pink champagne on the house as compensation for our trouble. We both had chicken salads which were delicious and service was fast and efficient. Absolutely brilliant and very classy move to bring us fizz!
Our table by the window was ready and waiting when we arrived. We ordered soup, whitebait, fish, steak and iced berries. It was all delicious and the service was excellent.
Unfortunately due to gas works in St Christophers Place, we had to go the the Cote Brasserie in Devonshire Street. Very enjoyable meal and given an aperitif on the house
Always a wonderful place for lunch, set lunch menu is very reasonable, food perfect and a fantastic Sauvignon Blanc. Oxford Street respite in a tucked away gem.
The food, service and ambience were great, as always. A lovely oasis from the madness of Oxford Street. We have been visiting Cote for years now.
Excellent food and service. The steak frites are the best in London. Always good to go before the theatre. Really good value for money too.
I have posted a 2 star review on TripAdvisor and written directly to Cote about our dismal experience at lunchtime at Cote St Christopher's Place yesterday.
We had the prestige set menu which was excellent. We were given a complimentary glass of Kir as it was my birthday. A very enjoyable evening with very good service.
The service is very fast. got seated immediately and got served very quickly eventhough the restaurant is busy. Had steak frites and the food is excellent. Good choice.
Excellent ambience, food, and service. Have been thrice to St.Christopher's Place and thrice to the one on Ealing Broadway. Will be going again. Great place to take guests.
Excellent lunch and service as always. Will definitely be dining here again as they never fail to please. Would highly recommend to anyone who hasn't tried here before
Up to their usual high standard! Our table by the window was ready and waiting, the food was excelelnt, and the service very good, too.
Very good food but service was too slow. I was waiting for the food for ages but when it came it was delicious. Will go again for food
Average experience and restaurant very loud and busy. Tables very close together and have had much better food at other branches. Good value at least, but not as good as it used to be.
I chose this place again for a lunch meeting. We have a great table which is great for a business meeting while enjoying our food. Food is very nice and I must come back to try other dishes as I believe other dishes must be yummy.
Always pleasant and attentive staff and efficient service. The restaurant is well located and the prices reasonable. The only downside is that it can be a little noisy but that indicates it is popular!
Lovely service, the portions were well sized and the food tasted lovely. However, two stars were dropped due to all but one of the fish options containing alcohol. Which is difficult for someone who only eats fish and doesn’t consume alcohol.
It’s ok - nothing special and service is very haphazard - it wasn’t even that busy! I ordered salmon which was so overdone it had to be sent back but at least they replaced it with a correctly cooked piece. Nothing special and not as good as other branches.
I believe the St Chritopher’s Place venue to be one of your better restaurant in terms of food and service. I booked on line, and was happy with the experience.
Sadly our sole was overcooked normally we enjoy visiting Cote we did mention it but perhaps we hindsight we should have been more specific and asked for 2 more.
Staff pleasant and helpful as ever, with service well timed. Food mostly good: steak frites, whitebait and crumble good, haddock rather dull and lacking in flavour.
An easy-to-choose-from menu, sensibly priced wines, cheerful staff and an exceptionally helpful front-of-house manager: what's not to like? The prix fixe menus are very good value, too.
Nice venue for lunch with a colleague. The service pretty good - sea bass was a little overcooked, but otherwise was reasonably priced and good food.
Lovely table outside. Friendly Waitress looked after very well. Had the Prestige menu for first time with plenty of dishes to choose from. Excellent food as always. Would highly recommend
Great for a long lunch with a friend - we were there almost four hours and no-one bothered us or asked us to leave. Good value too but I've had better food.
An excellent table and very good service. The food was tip top apart from one item. There could have been more mushrooms on the mushroom brioche.
Excellent service so enjoyed the atmosphere and quality of the meal A very good impression on our USA visitors Looking forward to another opportunity to travel to London
Friendly, discreet and efficient service in good ambience. Our request for a quiet table was met and we weren't rushed despite arriving at pre-theatre time. Tasty and good value food.
Very nice, a good place to meet friends for lunch - there are tables outside and, as there is no traffice, it is very nice to have lunch there
Fantastic evening where everyone made my daughter’s birthday very special! The food was very nice and the staff very attentive. We will definitely come back.
Excellent meal and great service. Great value and a new menu which was reasonably priced. Would definitely return when we are next in central London
Everything great - until we wanted to pay when there was quite a delay! The meal was good though and the service excellent too, until the end.
This was the noisiest Cote I have ever been to! The general chatter of the customers seemed drown out everything. The food, as always in Cote, was excellent and the set lunch menu is fantastic value for money. Probably would not go to this branch of Cote again but would choose one that was a little quieter.
It was pleasant to lunch outside. Good weather, pedestrianised area so no nasty fumes, the usual attentive service, and a "something for everyone"menu. Perfect ....
Good menu. Fab prices. Great service. Impressed! Went last Xmas but didn’t have best experience. Met up with family member. Had a very nice lunch. Not rushed. Staff happy to oblige. Will we return? Definitely (just not at Xmas!!!)
My ecpetience was Very good as usual, you can always rely on consistently great food , and excellent service. I will be back very soon.
Great staff and food is good value for money. Definitely recommend for a catch up with friends or a quick bite after work! thank you
Food up to the usual Cote standard. The table was ideal for us and we were looked after well in general. As usual will recommend.
We were given a good table , as always the place was buzzing. Food was served quickly,a little dry but it was ok . Managers were ever so nice and attentive. Thank you
It's an old favourite I go with friends when they are over from Spain. Food and service are good, however, it gets very busy and so noisy all 3 of us had trouble hearing each other speak.
We had a very, very enjoyable time. We like this branch of Cote the most and went to celebrate my husband's birthday with a friend who had never been before. There is always a member of staff who remembers us and we always get a warm welcome. The staff acknowledged the birthday with a welcome drink and a special dessert which we did not expect but much appreciated. Our friend was very impressed by the menu and the quality of food and service - she worked in a restaurant until recently. Well done! We are looking forward to our next visit.
Another delicious meal at Cote , with a warm welcome from Ivan and his staff. Always a pleasure to visit St Chrisopher place for lunch.
We had a warm and friendly welcome and the atmosphere is really good. There is so much on the menu that it's difficult to make a choice as it nearly all so appetising. There's something for everyone. The servers were knowledgeable and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend the restaurant as our experience was faultless.
Friendly service. Lovely food. Great Ambience. One of our party was retiring and turning 65 on Saturday 25th. We were given a prosecco to toast and a desert as a treat. Thank you :0)
Although we only get to go to London around six times in a year - it is a 200 mile round trip for us - we would never eat anywhere else. As with all our visits to Cote, we never come away disappointed. The food, the ambience, the service, is always excellent. How on earth the lady manageress seems to recognise us on our somewhat infrequent visits is amazing. Such recognition makes one feel both special and welcome. Long may this splendid eatery continue.
IT WAS BOOKING THROUGH WEB 1 HOUR BEFORE ATTENDANCE! ALL DONE ON TIME. VERY GOOD ATMOSPHERE, TASTY FOOD AND EXCELLENT SERVICE! VERY PLEASED TO COME BACK AGAIN
Attentive team without being overbearing, this Cote is a busy but efficiently run restaurant. The food was as usual excellent with our particular Prestige menu favourites, mussels followed by seafood linguini, never disappointing.
Our first visit to this particular branch of Côte. We were not disappointed. The service was excellent, as was the food and the value for money
We visited yesterday for a late lunch, having booked online. We were greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who took care to find the perfect table for us. Our food was served very quickly and was, as usual, up to the usual fantastic standard. We'll be back!
Had a bit of a hiccup. Placed our order, but after 30 mins no food. Saw the waitress looking concerned. Then manager appears at table to apologise, the waitress had forgot to place order. The manager was proactive and made us an offer. This turned a negative experience into a positive one. The good was excellent. The delay meant we arrived at station 2 mins before train departed and we could not find a seat.
