Côte Soho

We eat here quite often. The staff are always happy and attentive and although the main menu is always the same, there are monthly seasonal specials and a changing set menu that is good value. Only four stars as my main course of crepes was very salty and I had to change for the moules.

An exceptional value and original pre Theatre menu. Food was delicious and imaginative. Only fault is that the majority of dishes on the 'special' menus contain garlic - this limits the choice for the many people like me who loves garlic but it certainly does not love me, causing colic and painful inflamation

Great and tasty food as usual but.... Very noisy, couldn’t hear my friend talking. We sat by open doors, it got cold and we asked if doors could be closed please but no one closed them ( it involved moving lights otherwise we would have don’t it ourselves! And the public kept wandering in off the pavement up to our table and one man blew his dope smoke in our face!

Very impressed. Service was very good. Visited here on our anniversary and were treated to two glasses of bubbles. Food was very good. Crab mayonnaise to start and I had pork belly and my husband had fish stew very tasty and good portions. Decided not to have desert as quite full. Waitress and Manager came over with a plate saying happy anniversary in chocolate and melting chocolate pudding with ice cream. Very nice touch. I signed up to receive notifications and we received a free bottle of wine with our dinner

We use Cotes whenever we are in London and have eaten at this one on several previous occasions. As always, we were warmly greeted and well looked after. The choices on the set menus are always interesting and varied, covering all appetites and dietry preferences, and provide a relaxing 3 course meal for little more than the cost of a "gourmet burger, chips and shake" at several of the "upmarket" fast food outlets that proliferate the Soho/Oxford Street/Tottenham Court Road area.

Initially I reserved a table for 3 people, and then I had to change the reservation twice as we ended up in being 6 people and the staff over the phone was very kind and helpful. Upon arrival we've been welcomed with a bottle of complimentary sauvignon blanc which made a great start. Even though we were speaking Spanish at the table, the waiter caught it was one of my friends birthday and after lunch all the crew tourned up to the table with a chocolate dessert with a candle on top singing 'Happy Birthday' to Laura. This is what I call great attention to detail. Unfortunately we couldn't catch his name, and I believe his shift was over when we left the place. As we couldn't tell him thanks in presence, I hope this feedback reaches him so he can be proud of being amazing at his job!

Perfect place for anniversary dinner. Everything was excellent especially our server. He was very personable and helpful.

As always, very pleasant experience. I was celebrating my late birthday with a friend. We were looked after very well and food was tasty. Only downside was the level of the noise- even though restaurant wasn't busy outside noise made helicopter and people walking by add to it. We will be back.
