Cote is reliably an enjoyable place to eat - healthy, good value food in an enjoyable ambience. No music, hurray!

Dreadful service. The waiter found it amusing to make a joke at my sons’ expense when we doubled checked if the food we had ordered for them from the gluten free menu (as they’re coeliacs) was gluten free. It arrived without the labels marking it as gf. We asked the waiter and he was trying to make a joke in reply and said he hoped it was gf. We had to force him to apologise and he didn’t take this seriously at all. It’s not a choice. It’s a medical condition.

Excellent, as usual. And the staff are quite remarkable given how busy the restaurant gets throughout the day.

One couple next to me just had a pot of tea for 2. On the other side the couple had one glass of wine and olives. I was eating 2 courses from the set menu and felt I was being rushed. The couple with the tea were there when I arrived and left st the same time - they weren’t being rushed or continually Asked if they wanted anything more like I was. I was in there under 45 minutes. Have eaten there many times. Not sure I’ll eat there again. Food average and overpriced too.

Disappointed today, nice food but we didn't get a complimentary St Germain G&T in spite of having booked the offer. We were told that they didn't have the ingredients to make it so the gave us a kir royal instead

Couldn't have been better. Table upfront, light and airy and very pleasant atmosphere.

Have been there a few times as we work close by and have been very happy but last night was terribly disappointed, booking was for three, changed it to five , the reservation was great as they accommodated us, I suppose school holiday season helps. However service was absolutely terrible despite the restaurant not being full as usual and the waiter notice me twice asking to be served but ignored me, eventually got served! The size of the sword fish was definitely a child’s portion costing over £15.00! What a shame. R. Zand

Cote Brasserie, Sloane Square was the perfect place for my evening meal with my friends. The food was tasty, the staff were kind, and the atmosphere was relaxing.

We had a lovely meal and the staff were very thoughtful and helpful. Value for money , as always, was excellent. What a good chain of restaurants.

Croque was a little disappointing. Whitebait nice, chicken nice. Muscadet could have been more chilled. Regards.

Staff, food, excellent, great to have air conditioning, please don’t shepherd all customers together, use all room and give everyone privacy of their conversations.

My husband and I have been to Cote for many years and we have usually been happy with it but this time was substandard.

I often have a meal at the Cote. I enjoy the food and the helpings are the right size. There's a pleasant buzz in the atmosphere, without being noisy. The service is good, friendly and efficient.

Cote is very good value for money and the quality of food very good too

Excellent service (as usual) and reliable, tasty food as reasonable prices. Cote and its sister restaurants are what they are - comfortable surroundings, a good, varied menu, excellent service and, thank goodness, a lackof pretention (which I cannot abide).

I usually have the chance of sitting in the front of the restaurant, which I like very much. But this time we were a bit late arriving and had to sit in the gloomy area in the back of the restaurant, which is dark, airless and very noisy. But the food, service and staff were as usual excellent.

Calamari not as good as usual. Fish pie quite nice. Tuna nicoise lovely (as usual). Lovely complementary gin cocktail. Staff generally ok but not as good as on our last visit.

The service was very good, food was great and served quickly. Kir Royal cocktails in Cote are delicious.

Despite not being busy at all, we were left alone at the table and could not attract anyone's attention to place an order. There were plenty of staff about - just not doing anything. Weren't offered water when we sat down - had to ask for it. Ordered the Vegan melon starter for my daughter and it came covered in ham - the waiter said it was Vegan! Ordered two portions of fries and only one came. Had the starter size portion of calamari for main course as didn't want much. Ridiculous size portion and covered in very heavy, hard breadcrumb. Tasteless and difficult to eat. Pate for starter was OK though... Was meeting up with my daughter for theatre and dinner and this was extremely disappointing. Won't be going again.

Huge fan of Cote and its always a go to place if there is a restaurant in an area that I happen to be. This time it was Sloane Square. Went with a friend for an early meal. Service was excellent and the food was as delicious as always.

Excellent waiter. Fast, efficient and very courteous. Food, as usual, of a high standard. Delicious.

The food was exemplary as always, and we enjoyed it very much. However, the outright rudeness of a male waiter when I asked for the bill (this was the second time, having previously asked the manageress) was outrageous and uncalled for. This is the second time I have had to complain about the staff in this branch, and as a very regular patron of Cote restaurants all over London, I object in the strongest terms. It left a completely sour atmosphere and I shall not return there.

Efficient and friendly and very tasty food. Great for a pre-theatre meal.

We had the July specials, half a grilled lobster, veal and strawberry pavlova. Very good meal.

I had the wine offer but no set menu was left or put on my table after waiter explained it only applied to the set menu and, as l was inviting a guest, it was a bit awkward to ask the waiter who was difficult to locate for the first 5 or 10 minutes since we'd sat down. So l just had to pass up on the wine offer, which l'd mentioned when booking) and choose from the a la carte menu and the wine list.

A very happy and long lunch with my sister. Good food at good prices.

I booked a specific table early in the morning by telephone. I dropped by to confirm at 11am. I arrived at 5.15pm and the table had been given to someone else. We were fobbed off with an excuse and then two glasses of sparkling wine which we sent back. We ordered some bread, olives and meat before we had finished them our mains had arrived. When they arrived I explained we are not ready. We were offered an excuse. I did not want an excuse. I wanted to see intelligence. We were annoyed we did not get the table we asked for. We were given a lame excuse. We were fobbed off with cheap sparkling wine. Our mains arrived before we were finished our bread olives and meat and then we were charged service. Whoever was in charge today let the whole organisation down.

Service was good, unfortunately the steak and fries was not good and the steak very gristly and difficult to chew! Your lady manager was very understanding and did not charge me for my meal. My wife’s meal however was fine as are all the previous meals we have enjoyed at Sloane Sq.

Very pleasant evening with a group of six friends and family. Food and cheerful service all up to usual standard. Somewhat noisy environment.

We were going to see a show at Cadogan Hall so were a bit pushed for time but the service was quick and we were delighted to find they had a separate vegetarian menu which is quite unusual for French bistros. Excellent food and service.

Frequently come in pre-concerts knowing we will gave an enjoyable meal, good service etc and last night was no exception. Both started with Steak tartare, then Lamb rump, beautifully pink and tender, and the tasty Breton Fish Stew. Must also mention that a couple of months ago we had a meal that wasn't up to the usual Cote standards and a negative review was submitted. Within hours we had an email asking for more details and our reply received a prompt responce. Restaurants invariably say they want to hear if things are not quite right. Impressed to find Cote mean it.
